Again Page-fault-in-nonpaged-area - Page-fault-in-nonpaged-area
Aug 23, 2008
I have a bad problem with my pc right now , i will be happy if you could help me.
at first i didnt have any problems with opening some complex or hard softwares like games or some .EXE files , that every time i tried to open these programs, the blue page appear and it says Page-fault-in-nonpaged-area. and after that the system will be reboot. i even reinstall the windows, and after installing my devices, i faced with this problem again , and it drove me crazy
I had XP Pro installed and running fine and decided I wanted to upgrade to Windows 7. I copied everything I wanted to save onto my 2 storage drives and did a format/install of Windows 7 Ultimate. I had no bugs, but I quickly found out that I couldn't use all three of my monitors (one of them is connected via PCI AGP card--you can't do that with 7), and my sound card is incompatible with Windows 7. So I decided to go back to XP.
The first part of the install goes fine-- The drive formats (I've tried both quick and non-quick formatting) and the setup files copy without a hitch. Computer restarts and the setup continues up to about 2/3 into "Installing Drivers" and I get the page_fault_in_nonpaged_area BSOD. I tried using each memory stick separately and I get the same error. I used memtest and found no errors in the memory. I've tried disabling CPU internal and external Cache and lowering memory timings.
When I fired it up I found that there was only one 250 GB partition with XP on it. I thought what a waste, and decided to install Ubuntu Linux as dual boot. So I pop in the Ubuntu CD, and click install, when the partition manager comes up, I delete the 250GB partition and create three partitions, a 125gb ext3, a 122gb ntfs, and a 3gb swap. I finish installing Ubuntu and all is great.
Then I wanted to install XP again (since I deleted the whole 250 GB partition). So I pop in the XP SP2 cd, and start the setup. But when I got the to choosing partitions, it doesnt show any! The installer didnt detect any partitions! When I continue I get the follwoing error:
Quote: the problem seems to be caused by the following file: setupdd.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
suddenly started to continually reboot without fully loading. They are both WinXP machines and have AVG loaded as their antivirus software. After prompting me to log in as a user (and before I can even do this) they both display a blue screen with the following message. PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and then advises me to try Safe mode, etc I am able to fully load the machines in Safe mode (though I can't do much in this mode) I haven't installed any new hardware, can't swear that someone hasn't tried to install neww software but think its VERY unlikely. I've tried restarting them in selective startup with all startup programs disabled, still get the BSOD.
My OS is XP PRO SP3 and when I boot I get the dreaded BSOD Stop: 0x00000050. I can boot in safe mode without any problems. I have run the Windows Memory Diagnostic but no errors were detected. I have opened the case to ensure that everything is seated and plugged in firmly. I have checked BIOS memory options but there is no option to disable caching or shadowing. A screen shot of the BSOD is attached
Today when I tried to start my computer (with Win XP) it gave a BSOD at the startup just after showing welcome screen I got page_fault_in_nonpaged_area error with following tech info: 0x00000050 (0xF80F6660,0x00000000,0xF7BD971E,0x00000000)
It happened for the first time a few days ago but didn't take notice of it I couldn't open computer at all cause of blue screen & reboots happening all the time I forgot how to start Safe mode It continued today but when I unplugged cable that leads to external disc from the USB I managed to get in It's a prehistoric computer: Intel Pentium III ~ 512Mhz ~ 192mb RAM ~ 20 GB disc (currently only 250MB available ). I've been getting this Windows Secure Alert that my Windows Firewall is off but I can't turn it on ~ neither in the security center nor in Control Panel - I click and nothing happens, I don't get any "Your virtual memory is too low to perform this operation blabla"
This screen was coming up for a while now in every second or third day in the morning when I boot up. Now it's doing almost daily. It temporarily solved the problem to higher a little bit on vcore or lover a bit on fsb, but that only works for a few boot ups. thought it was my processor giving up, I switched to a brand new one but it's still doing the same. Only after the switch I wasn't able to boot up, not even to bios. When I got out my second videocard (I have two 8800 GTS 640) the computer booted again and worked fine for a day when blue screen appeared again. In the end I could boot up with two videocards with the order changed so that's ok. I tested memory for hours and it was fine. I switched processor. I updated windows
Well, the blue screen crashes were sporadic a few weeks ago, but this comp crashed 3 times today The most common errors are "Driver irql not less or equal" and "Page fault in nonpaged area" The things I've tried: -a system restore to last month -reinstalled windows -checked device manager for exclamation marks -a friend said it could be bad memory, so i swapped a spare 512mb stick with another of the same brand. ( 512mb x 2 in dual channel), it still crashed afterward. However i could have swapped out the wrong stick so i'll try the other
HP Pavillion A1230n with XP Media Center edition. MOBO died a couple of months ago so replaced with ASUS M3N78-VM and 2Gb memory. System has been running great since repair until last week. Began to show signs of IE7 search engine hijack, but all scans show negative (Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, Avira, etc. Google Chrome worked okay, so problem was specific to IE. Tried to get to Safe Mode to run scans and got BSOD. System would boot "normally", but BSOD with page fault error whenever I tried to boot to Safe Mode. Replaced memory with same results. System now BSOD's on all attempted startups. safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, and normal, all with same BSOD results. Ran Spinrite against drive with negative findings. Created new XP install on another drive and system boots fine. Cloned original boot drive to new 500Gb drive using Clonezilla and get same BSOD results with cloned drive as I did with original drive. Tried repair install to original drive but system does not recognize new MOBO BIOS as the originator of the Restore disk
I had inadvertently got attacked by one of those site that offers a free scan for virus protection and I could not get it off of my machine. In my efforts I ended up with a blue screen with the claim that I have a "page fault in nonpaged area" and it instructs me to remove cache, shadowing and various other exercises that can't be done or are not relevant. There is also a series of changing causes similar, if not the same, as those reported by others that are having problems and are similarly titled in this forum area
I am working on an XP machine that continually comes up with the dreaded blue screen on boot up- whether normal boot up or in safe mode or in XP repair. "The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ntfs.sys stop: 0x00000050 0xb76ae095, 0x00000001, 0x00000000
I was listening to some Good Charlotte, and in my D: and all the sudden I get a blue screen sayin page fault none page area... I also got this problem when I tried to reinstall Media Player 9. It sounds like some system file is triggering tihs
in a fit of "I'm going to clean all the old junk off my computer"... I accidently started to remove something connected to ATI. Then the computer froze. Now when I try to reboot I get the blue screen with the Page Fault in Non Page Area message. I have tried a System Restore
Everytime I boot my desktop at my apartment, the Windows loading screen comes up. But after a few seconds, it goes to a blue screen and it states Windows had to be shut down due to a possible problem and then lists a target: PAGE DEFAULT IN NONPAGED AREA.
I got this error when I installed Advance System Care and when i scanned my USB with noob killer. Then the P.C restarted and it started to displays the page fault in non page area. The problem is when i boot in window xp cd it display this BOD error and when i boot Safe mode and Start windows normally it only reboot the P.C. So there is no way i can access the control tab window xp
running an AMD Athlon XP 2600 I know, kinda old, but he only plays Diablo II on it anyways) and I found a 3200 chip for it for cheap, so I bought it, and installed it. Now, this CPU was in working condition when I bought it. I removed the old thermal grease, applied new stuff, and installed it. It isn't running hot, only around 28C. When I boot XP, it will get to the loading screen, and the green bar will go across once, and then it BSOD's with the Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area screen. It will quckly restart after flashing the BSOD It took a while to figure out what the BSOD said, I had to take a video and play it back frame by frame
I recently Formatted my Packard Bell XP (SP3) Desktop using the Packard Bell partition to revert back to factory settings. Everything worked ok and things were running fine until I suddenly got a BSOD, saying there was a corrupt or missing Windows Config file (Not sure if it's connected but I did a forced shutdown prior to this). I checked all connections, RAM, Graphics etc and all seemed ok, I was unable to get into any recovery or safe mode options so I then used my Packard Bell Recovery DVD to reinstall everything. The recovery appeared to be going well and all the files loaded but when the system goes through the 'Windows Burnin' stage it goes to the BSOD 'Page Fault in non Paged area'
just start my PC and suddenly it was black after Windows XP logo screen and flashes BSOD. I did install a driver recently. Cannot enter safe mode as it stopped at /driver/JGOJO Cannot enter "from previous working setting" I can't boot up at all. The error code in the blue screen is Page Fault in Non Paged Area with code 0x00000050 something.
Dell Inspiron 6400, Windows XP I can usually fix simple problems, so many people ask me to help them with simple problems. My mother had what i thought to be a simple problem that now appears to be a fatal problem. My mom ran Lavasoft Ad-Aware because the computer seemed to be running slower then normal, also receiving many more pop-ups then normal. Ad-Aware was detecting around 50 infections, the infections kept returning even after Ad-Aware 'fixed' them. many pop-ups and slow performance. I did the same thing, ran Ad-Aware, and recognized that the majority of infections cam from the same root files; rustock, vxgame and spyware.trojan. Ad-Aware could not remove them so i downloaded Spybot, Spybot did the same thing, recognized them but after restart the problems and the infections were still there.
Just start my PC and suddenly it was black after Windows XP logo screen and the PC light is running I did not install any driver or software recently. Cannot enter safe mode as it stopped at /driver/JGOJO Cannot enter "from previous working setting" The error code in the blue screen is Page Fault in Non Paged Area with code 0x00000050 something. Try to change new memory stick but still cannot boot-up.
I've just found out that one of my client's computers has a memory fault. Now, I know this is rather an obvious question, but should I wait for the new memory to arrive and then update Windows
i play pogo games & now the bottom part of the screen is missing. where the chat box is located. pogo say's it is my srever's fault how do i fix this . i am using windows xp
When I try to send a multi-page fax from WORD or Power-Point, only the first page or slide appears in the FAX. This is a recently developed problem. I've successfully sent multi-page FAXes in the past.
I continuously get 'ERROR this page cannot be displayed' when I try to send a greeting card or access another web page. What is going on? I tried to fix and enabled all that I thought was necessary on settings.
I often right click in IE and select Create Shortcut. It puts a shortcut and my desktop to that page. This mysteriously stopped working. The icon appears on my desktop with the page title and all, but when I double click it, it just opens up my browser and loads about:blank. In the shortcut file's properties, and then gives me the file's size, location, etc.but it doesn't list the URL anywhere. It's just getting on my nerves having to copy a page's URL to a text file on my desktop if I want to remind myself of something.
I get this: System is recovered from a serious fault.I just got it after the computer suddenly rebooted. This is the sign(?) of the fault: I also put some screens of the fault with this.they are in Dutch, but maybe you can recognise it.
