Audio :: Transferring Music From Zune Player To Pc?
Apr 21, 2013
I just bought an HP Envy All in 1 w Windows 8. I want to put my music from Zune player onto the computer. I downloaded Zune software, but I cant get music from Zune player to PC. I don't want to use Xbox music if possible. How I can continue using Zune on PC and more importantly put my music on PC in Zune file?
I used to use the new music player which came with windows 8. Just yesterday it stopped working, when I run it it doesn't work just the orange color and the headset appear. What's wrong with it ?
It has been months and still my music player lacks all the cool features. Is there a way to convert my Music player or even my N edition to a normal edition for the fancy Music player.
I don't get artist pictures in the background whilst in the player and nor does the tile show the artist picture.
Got a new computer with Windows 8. I put a music CD in the D drive. Nothing happens. I click on DVD RW Drive (D), and it shows the tracks on the CD. I check Track 1, go up to Music Tools and click Play. A play button appears but it doesn't work.
I open Zune.I start a song.It starts off at normal volume, at the quieter beginning part, but then it gets REALLY soft when the more louder part of the song plays.
It never did that before I did a clean install of Windows 8.
I upgraded from Win7 to Windows 8 (both running the MS Media Center) and it's created a problem with music playback . It used to work fine, but now I get random stutters. Sometimes it goes 10 or 15 minutes without any problem, but often it's more frequent than that - and it's very, very annoying. The system runs an AMD A8 APU, Gigabyte A75M UD2H motherboard, 4 GB of RAM and Win 8 Pro with MC. I use the audio on the motherboard (Realtek HD audio) and output is via SPDIF to a dedicated DAC (brand is Rega) and then to a Denon amp. I've had no problems with audio from DVD/Blu-Ray, TV (via TV tuner card) or when streaming TV programs via the internet. Music is my prime use for the media center.
By the way, I've tried upgrading all the drivers I can, eg downloaded latest drivers from Gigabyte website, AMD website, Realtek website, Linksys website (for WUSB600N wireless network adapter). There is a newer driver for my TV tuner card (KWorld PCIE dual tuner PE310) available via MS update but last time I tried updating drivers for that card via MS update I lost all my TV channels and had to roll-back and re-scan them to recover.
I have an older MC system (running an Athlon 64 ) which I also upgraded from Win7 to Windows 8, and it seems to have no problem. It uses analogue audio out to an external amp.
I've read that Windows 8 has DPC latency problems and that can cause audio stutter. I downloaded some software which measures the latency, and it was showing a consistent value, in the "yellow" range - which seemed to mean it was slightly higher than ideal but shouldn't have been a problem. Unfortunately I can't recall the name of the software now, or where I found it(!!).
If iTunes is launched with User A account, when I switch to user B account on the same machine, iTunes music is stopped and I would like music continue...like in Windows 7....
Is it possible to indicate to iTunes to not be suspended when user switch and continue to play music in background ?
I seem to have some Audio files that whatever I do seem always to play in the order 1,10, 11...2,20,21... etc instead of 1,2,3,.. etc
I've got the file names in the correct sequence -- it only happens on a few albums bit it's mega annoying since if I'm playing an Audiobook in a Car I obviously want the tracks to be in the CORRECT sequence.
Here's an example of what a music app shows the order - and from MP3Vtag you can see the filenames are in the correct sequence.
Recently, I have gotten an ASUS notebook as a gift and I've noticed that there is one big issue with it. Whenever I stream music from Spotify or watch a movie on Netflix, the audio begins to create a crackling static noise. The issue with the stuttering is whenever I have something playing in the background such as Spotify, whenever I begin to switch tabs or load a new site, the audio begins to stutter and mess up. I don't know what the problem is. I've tried updating my drivers. I've tried changing the default playback on my playback device as well but to no avail. My computer has the Realtek High Definition Audio driver. I have heard that Realtek drivers and ASUS machines don't usually function well together but I am not sure if that's the case.
When the audio is on, for videos, games, music, etc. it sometimes "skips" like an old cd player. Its pretty obnoxious, and I'm wondering why exactly this is so. I'm assuming I have an old driver or something, because I upgraded my pc from win 7 to win 8 pro.
My laptop produces squeaking sound whenever i play some music or video... this sound is also observed when i put the computer on a external speakers.. The hdd is recently changed.. What can be the problem..
I want the volume popup bar with the track title information for Windows Media Player, is this possible, perhaps with a registry edit?
I mainly notice it in gMusic app and I've seen the Pandora app have it as well (Whenever I hit the pause button, it will pop up with album art, artist and track info as well as a volume slider) ...
I mainly use Windows Media Player for music though so I'd like this cool feature for that program, it would be very handy when I'm playing a game and I don't want to alt+tab out just to see what song is playing ...
I listen to my music on Winamp, yet when I'm using any other program that plays some sound effect (for example, playing some online game on Google Chrome), every time the game makes a bit of a loud sound effect, for a second or so, the music lowers itself for that second, then goes back to its normal volume.
I'm assuming this is some default option that is auto-enabled in Windows 8, since Windows XP never used to do this.
What option do I need to disable so all programs playing sound will not interfere and lower other programs' volume down?
It other words, what option do I need to disable so all the sounds play at an exact same level at all times?
Until earlier today I could 'rewind' 15 seconds on the MS Music Control Panel. Having 'updated' the App this functionality has been lost. You can either rewind to the start or the end. You have to use the slider if you want to rewind less. For transcribing a multi-hour interview that is in .wma format this is now highly inconvenient.
How I can retrieve a 15 second shift button again?
I've got a ton of MP3s that I want to export to a USB stick. For the life of me, I can't find a place in Windows Media Player to compress the audio when synching. iTunes has that feature and it's super convenient, but
1) I can't use the USB stick in iTunes, and 2) I can't find the compress feature in WMP, so I'm stuck.
having ordered a new sound card and speaker set, I've been thinking of gradually upgrading my MP3 collection to FLAC. I also still have a Zune HD, which I wasn't planning on replacing, which doesn't play FLAC. To this end I'd keep a MP3 copy of the flac collection for Zune to sync to the HD.
Now the problem: Windows media player and Zune both look in the same folder for their media library!! So I can't tell WMP to look at the FLAC while having Zune look at the MP3 using the standard music library in windows... Is there a way to have either program look at a different folder than the standard library?
When using Flash Player within IE10 in 8, audio and video synch is fine at standard small screen, but when I go to full screen they do not synch. The video is behind timing with the audio. It looks as though the video skips now and then trying to catch up with the audio. I dual boot with 7 and do not have a problem with Flash within IE10 there, so I'm assuming it's not hardware. This happens on any site using Flash.
All the settings in both Flash Players are the same. The only difference is that my 7 OS is 32 bit with 32bit Flash whereas my 8 OS is 64bit with 32bit Flash.
I just recently performed a Clean install of Windows 8 Pro on my older HP a1210n. I also added a nvidia gt520 graphics card shortly after installing windows 8.
Everything was running great, no issues until I downloaded Zune (Use for Windows Phone 7). Shortly after launching Zune and navigating through screens the PC just froze (no messages, no errors). My only option was a hard boot. No messages or errors on re-boot. I tried uninstalling Zune and reinstalling and the same thing happened. Also, it was random when occurred. I also ended up doing a new Install of Windows 8 since I had added my video card after installing Windows 8. At this point, it seemed to be a fix, no crashes.
I then installed Media Center and began to experience the same issue, just random hanging requiring hard boot. I did check troubleshooting and found that the Media Center was corrupt?? So, I followed the procedure of turning off the Media Center feature and then after re-start, turning on the feature. It seemed to work, but it hadn't.
I would imagine it has to do with my video card, right? Otherwise, my pc with Windows 8 (Which I think is great so far!) has been working fine.
I am wondering if there is any good software out there for audio graphic equalization. Or just equalizer you know for changing how audio sounds. I had a pair of headphones with software that made some things sound INCREDIBLE but I am getting rid of them for issues.
I am wondering if there is any decent software to manage equalization of audio other than the built in ones for Windows Media Player?
I just installed the Shark007 Codecs and reboot the PC. Because, I need to play.MKV video files. I didn't change that plugin settings. Now when I play the AVI video files which has dual audio (two languages), now Windows Media player automatically playing both audio sounds.
When I search on the internet, I found that setting Haali as the AVI splitter in the AVI tab will fix it. Unfortunately, in my situation, it didn't work. After I choose Haali splitter, it shows "Windows media player encountered a problem while playing the file" error.
I am trying out Xbox Music and a Lumia 920. I am downloading songs from Xbox Music and creating playlists, but it never shows up Windows 8 desktop. When I add songs and playlists on my desktop, they show up on the Lumia 920.
Using the Windows 8.1 music app, I have properly setup my library to load from my second HDD, but it only loads 80 artists out of over 120. All my music is properly tagged and in Artist/Year - Album/ folder format.
When I use headphones with my Surface Pro (Win 8) I cant hear the voices in my videos - the background music/sound effects are just too loud. I have tried using the Win 8 Video player as well as VLC Player and I still get the same issue.
I have tried the headphones on my iPhone and have no problems. It has been a long time since i've used a Windows computer (usually have a Mac)
I deleted my music from my music app and cannot re-add it. The files were added automatically the first time, but now the app won't add them. Can I refresh the cache for the music app or what can I do?
I recently migrated to Windows 8. My music collection stumbled along the way and I had to re-fetch artwork for a few albums in WMP. I also set it up in iTunes. My default app for MP3s is WMP. As you can see below, artwork only appears when in the folder view (which somewhat defeats the purpose of libraries in the first place). I'd prefer to sort them by artist, with album art displayed without a folder, as it should and as it did in Windows 7.
Art appears in folder view but not artist or album view.
On a related note, I recently added many new MP3s to my collection. When I opened Xbox Music for the first time afterwards, it seemed to be downloading art to add it to my older albums, all of which have art. Then the process was somehow interrupted. I believe I closed the app. Then, when I opened it again, none of them had art.
I had recently replaced my HDD with SSD, So I had backed up & erased all the personal files including music, videos etc from respective folders, Actually there is no files other than system files, programs, softwares in the SSD now, I had done disk cleanup, defrag , clearing of temp, prefetch folders etc before starting the cloning everything from HDD to SSD,
After replacement, now I could see all my collection of songs/music in the Now Playing section of Music App (Modern app), No music files are actually present for me to locate in any of the folders when I go through for explorer,
I'm not able to play the music files by clicking it from Music App , & when I delete it from there by right clicking it - temporarily goes away but returns when i close the App and opens it again..
I had unchecked & checked the indexing option in the Music folder (File Explorer) - properties & restarted system, checked, But still all the music files are listed in the App, how to clear the music file listings from the Music app permanently which are not really present in the system?
It pops up on the video screen I want to watch in Fox News website -- I haven't noticed it popping up on other sites as yet. It will list the site asking for permission to store information on my computer. The link I have attached below gives instructions on how to remove this pop-up. Is this flash player thing safe or is it some kind of virus or malware? The attached link refers to it as spyware. If I were to remove the Flash player program, will it affect playing games or whatever on my laptop.
how to delete music from music app i delete all my music from my pc but when ever i open the music app it stream my music back wth i want to delete everything start from scratch
I purchased that HP came with windows 8 installed with a product key. I recently purchased a samsung 120GB SSD and wish to install my windows 8 onto the SSD and leave the HD as just a storage drive. When I purchased the computer it came with windows 8 installed and no installation CD. How do I go about obtaining an installation CD, or do I even need one to install it onto my new SSD.
There is a game my daughter loves to play and its no longer offered in the windows 8 store, why they took it down. I sold my last tablet to a friend, the game is still installed and still works fine on that particular tablet. I granted myself ownership of the winapps folder and copied the game from the old tablet to the new tablet, I also copied all the game data from the local user account. When I try to run it it says "This application can only run in the context of an AppContainer."
How can I make this work? As a computer tech I would also like to know how to do this in case a weird similar situation comes up for a client as I always get these odd ball requests from my clients.
