I am desperate! I recently installed windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit on my DEll Machine's. It has and add on DVI video Card Silicone Image model SIL1364 ADD N-2 I have looked everywhere including under the sofa and cannot find a driver for this card. I went to the Silicone Image site and it appears they don't make the cards or support it. From their site they very vaguely send me to Intel where I found nothing. I have 4 machines all with the same add on card.
I just recently upgraded Windows 7 Ultimate from Vista Home premium. When I "upgraded" though I chose to completly reinstall my OS.Anyways I used to have transparency, but when I try to get that same effect it says "The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver."and then when I try to troubleshoot it says "Video card driver doesn't support Aero effects" . I've tried the "Fix it" options, but that doesnt work. I just don't see how transperancy would work on vista but not with windows 7... do I seriously have to purchase a new video card?
I own a Dell Inspiron N5010(service code 8ypspp1). I installed all drivers, but when i enter lets say solitaire it says that either hardware acceleration is disabled either my video card doesn't support it. I checked if h.acceleration was turned on and it was. My graphics card apears to be : Standard VGA Graphics Adaptor. I installed java , flash , directx...This happened after i reinstalled windows and format.
I have a Dell Optiplex G520 and I, unfortunately, am running Windows 7 on it. Since installing Windows 7 I have had problems with my video card. Certain websites will not recognize my video card or say it's outdated. However, I had no problems whatsoever while I was running Windows XP. Is there a driver I can install to fix it, or does anyone know of a good graphics card I can buy that will be compatible with both my computer and Windows 7?
So My new Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit PC doesnt seem to want to sleep. I'm away to work for a day at a time and when I get home the PC is up and running.I found this article:Windows 7 will not sleep or not sleepingwhich indicates to update driver, particularly the video card driver. I go to the vendor site and download the newest driver. I go to Device Manager open Display Adapters and find my card, double click on that and I'm in the properties. The driver date is 9/2010 so there is definitely a newer driver. Click on update driver/search on computer and navigate to the folder where I downloaded the new driver. I click next and get "Windows has determined that the current driver software for the device is up to date" and thats it, no apparent way around.
