View 3 Replies View RelatedWindows 7 Folder Background Changer is a free tiny portable tool that allows you to change any folder's background & text color in Windows 7/Vista. How to use: Run the tool as administrator. If you have run this tool for the first time then it will restart Explorer. Click on Browse and browse for the folder of which you want to change the background/text color. Click on Change Background Image and browse for the image that you want to set as the background of the folder. Click on the Black color rectangle and select the color that you want to set as the text color of the folder. If you want to display a shadow under the text of all the items in the folder, select Show Shadow Under Text. This option will only work with icons view. If you want the style of this folder to be applied to all the sub-folders, select Apply To Sub Folders.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had Windows XP Pro running on my PC and I've installed Windows 7 using dual-boot.I want to create a command line BAT file that will allow me to change the default OS system before I boot. For example If I'm working on XP and wants 7 to start-up automatically then I'll execute the batch file and it will manipulate the boot info so that i won't have to select it, and if i work in Windos 7 and want to automatically restart to xp i will run another BAT file.I was able to do it in windows 7 using the command line bcdedit.exe application tha can control any aspect of the boot settings, but i couldn't find anyway to control the boot settings from within XP because the boot "belongs" to windows 7 and XP doesn't even "know it" or able to access it.
However I have a third-party application able to do that called VISTABOOTPRO, so i can assume it is indeed possible, but i want to create a simple one-click procedure to do it for me.
I have a folder with quite a few solid white .PNG images that can't be seen against the default white background. So far I have been either..
1- Highlight (select all)...but then you lose the multi-select functionality.
2- Move to desktop...then move back (very irritating)..
I downloaded a program that changed the folder background to a select image in windows XP. I tried doing the same for Windows 7...but it was extremely buggy. Folder would crash, etc. These are important folders and I need them to work.

I have a problem with Microsoft Word 2010. When I save the file as PDF file, the Word 2010 saves the file as PDF but the background image is in tiles, instead of stretched. Also, in the document, the background image is stretched. But when I save the document as PDF, it applies the background in tiles.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Windows 7 how can I change "Folders View" for individual folders without changing them system wide. For example if I select "always show icons" all my folders are set this way, and that's fine. But there are a few folders I have containing jpeg images, and I want to view those as "thumbnails" without effecting the others which are set to always show icons.
This was very easy to do in Windows XP but I can't figure out how to do it in Windows 7.
I tried everything I can think of to change the desk top back ground but it just stays the same- Windows 7- picture. So not sure what to do now or if it is a fix from microsoft that has to be done? I did follow all the right instructions to do the change but with no change. The Theme will change when I click on it but not the back ground. Read tutials and treads and made sure I was doing it right and all settings were right but still no good!! It really isn't that big of a deal but if it's suppose to work why not on my brand new computer and operating system?

However, his desktop is not the way it use to be before the malware. The obvious problem being his desktop background is black and it does not change. When I try to change it in control panel to Architecture or Landscapes, nothing happens, just the color of the taskbar changes. Also, Ive noticed that his "Accessories" folder is missing.I tried adjusting settings in the Ease of Access section, but still does not work.
