View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen it comes to network connections on my laptop. I was wondering if it is possible to connect to two different wireless networks, on using the wireless network connection and the other using the wireless network connection 2.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently ran a system recovery on my Samsung 305V and set it back to factory defaults. Now my problem is connecting to the internet. I have hardwired it to the router, also reset the modem and router several times. I disabled the firewall and tried running in safe mode with networking, everything has failed. I looked in the Device manager and there are no devices in the network adapter category besides two Bluetooth Devices. Under the Other Devices category it shows Ethernet, Network and SM Bus Controllers with yellow caution signs on them, I don't know what these are but I can't update the drivers on them or anything.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWindows did not show any network connections in the network connections window. I tried everything that I could find online but nothing worked. As a last resort I decided to reinstall the driver for my Intel 82566DC-2 Gigabit network connection. I uninstalled the old driver and then installed the latest drivers but now I get code 31 (cannot find the driver software) in device manager and the connection doesn't work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was shutting down my laptop. At the same time ,i pressed power button and forcedit to shut down. Now my network connections icon in task bar says"No connections are available". Even though i have LAN connected. Wireless is not working too
View 1 Replies View RelatedI turned on my Netbook (Packard Bell NAV50, Windows 7) the other day and it would not connect to the internet. Not only won't it connect, but I can't even find any wireless networks, the icon in the bottom right just has a red cross. I'm currently using another laptop which can detect the network and next doors too so it is not a problem with the router. My PS3, phone, iPod etc also all connect fine. I've checked the fn f2 thing and that is definately on and working. Also when i click on "change adapter settings" in "network and sharing centre", it is there and is enabled and has the full green symbol icon but also has a red cross.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just freshly upgraded from windows XP 32 bit to windows 7 32 bit. The installation was easy, and here my computer is sitting at the desktop ready to run.he problem is that i cannot connect to the internet? I was able to connect to the internet using XP just minutes ago, but now that I upgraded to 7, "no connections are available".what do I do?troubleshoot said a ethernet cable is not properly plugged in or is broken..that cannot be true as i was just connected to the internet on XP minutes ago
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am getting this message after having added two new entries to a registry earlier today. Since then, I have deleted the two entries and the problem persisted. I've also done a system restore from before the incident and that hasn't helped. Lastly I also uninstalled and reinstalled the network driver.I know my Internet isn't the problem as my phone works with he Internet just fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I'm running Windows Seven 64 bit on an Asus N61V, no connections available. Nothing appears anywhere. Internet and router are working fine.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi have a ADSL connection with a router connected to my local area connection

is there any way to use both connections same time? like for download local area connection and for browse HSDPA connection.
I've been running Windows 7 and connecting to my wireless router for a few months with absolutely no problems at all. Suddenly a couple of days ago the wireless stopped working and it can't see any connections. There used to be a few it could see, but now not even one! I know the router is ok because I can access it wirelessly with my iPhone. I also know the hardware is ok on the laptop because I swapped the hard drive with an old XP one and the wireless worked perfectly.

I am helping someone setup an office where the host OS running Win 7 Pro x64, and have about 15 client machines connect to it.
The client PCs would be used to save/access data stored on the host machine. Would getting a full blown server be a better solution?
I've had a problem for the past few months trying to get my Internet to work. The wireless works fine with my phone, other computers, installed Ubuntu on my comp, etc. The only place it seems to not be working is in my windows. I'be checked out a few videos and can't seem to find the exact solution. I'm thinking it may be a virus, but the avast antivirus "quick check" didn't find anything of that sort. In the device manager under Network Adapters, there are two links that each have a yellow 'i' symbol. When I troubleshoot with windows it says there are no issues. When I go to 'Change adapter settings' there are no adapters available such as the LAN, etc.
View 9 Replies View Related1st post...I have a dell lap top and a desk top at home I use for work. I have a linksys wireless router I always use for my laptop. All of sudden today i cannot connect to the internet. I have a red X over the wifi icon. it says "not connected - No connections available". i have done all i know to do and sat on hold with dell tech support for over an hour. I always pick up 4 -8 other networks around me too, which is weird that it says none are available. I am on my desktop now, and internet is working fine. reset the router and restarted several times. I believe the wifi connection is enabled.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy laptop {NV53 Gateway} quit searching for networks, and eventually displayed no connections are available. I have looked for solutions all over the internet but I can't find any. The troubleshooter doesn't work for me. It says the driver is experiencing hardware issues, but I know it doesn't, because I looked in the device manager and it doesn't have any issue.
I am trying to figure out what the problem is, I've tried to connect to a network, that doesn't work & I've also tried setting up a new network but that doesn't work either. My Wifi button on my computer is on, and I do have a card installed on it, and it still doesn't show up with any networks. I did ipconfig/all and my Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection says media disconnected only because I dont have it connected to ethernet...
On the other hand, it says:
Tunnel adapter isatap. {45E92676-7CB114F99-8B8C-2BE1DA2A0FEA} and it is a Microsoft ISATAP Adapter (which I didn't know I had). And the other is a Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunnneling Pseudo-Interface. Both of them are media disconnected.
Broadcom NetLink {Tm} Gigabit Ethernet is my ethernet connection. I usually go wirelessely.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I can connect to and browse the internet using Google Chrome. Internet Explorer times out. I noticed the problem because my AVG update is not updating. I also have not received any Windows updates and when I tell Windows to check, it takes a long while to say that there are none - my assumption is that it cannot get a connection and is timing out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed a clean copy of Windows 7 RC1 Build 7100 on my laptop. Whether I am connected to the network using a lan or wireless connection after waking my computer up from sleep I can't get any connection to work.
The wireless shows a limited connection and the wired shows a cable connected by no network connection.
As soon as I restart or shut down/reboot both or either connection restarts automatically and the Internet works.
This is really inconvenient when using a laptop on the move. Any one got any ideas?
Where is the network card connect & disconnect information please? In XP it was in the System Event log, but not in 7. I can get this information when I use a mobile as a tethered modem but I need to know when the LAN network card is detected.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have a USB Internet Connection and a WI-FI connection. i want to use both of them simultaneously. i know i can't stack their download and upload speed, but atleast i can download 2 files at the same time without having one internet connection doing all the burden. i think it's called load balancing or whatsoever. and it's built into windows 7? but whenever i try to connect the USB internet connection, my WI-FI suddenly goes "No internet connection". but it is still connected.
View 9 Replies View Relatedcan you combine two network connections and use a single IP in Windows 7 ? I'm using my main rig as a file server... and oftenly lack the network bandwidth for the other users... i'm not ready to migrate to a gigabit lan

"Ghost network" serious network adapter bug
How do you rename the default "Network" connection name in Windows 7?? In vista, you could click customize in network and sharing center to rename the network and change the icon, etc. Windows 7 has no such option.... Also, Every time I restart my computer, I automatically get connected to an "unidentified network" public network type, and it says "mixed network". I can't connect to the internet at all when it does that. I have to disable my adapter and re-enable it to correct the problem. Any thoughts ?? It's quite frustrating because it happens on every boot.
I have been messing around trying to see what the minimal of services are that I can run on Windows 7. The machine is only used for connecting to the internet and office apps. I disabled network connections and network location awareness, the icon for network connectivity in the notifications area displays as not working but Bittorrent AND Firefox still work!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am showing not connected (red x) to the Internet even though I am connected. This just started happening a few days ago, up until then I would show the normal connected icon. I read somewhere about deleting data from my Reg Edit, but that was too complicated for me to do. Does anyone have any other solutions to this problem?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a bit of a canundrum. I have 2 mobile broadband connections, one for my computer and one for my iPhone. It's basically the same subscription over here. I live a bit off the grid so I can't get any DSL connection unfortunately. So they both have a limited download rate and my 10 gigs each month dries up pretty fast, and then I'm left with a 15kb/s connection on both devices. Now I've used my iPhone as a wifi router to access it and download through that connection on my pc, meanwhile the USB dongle 3g connection has been there and I've just assumed that they work together to bring me information, but obviously that doesn't happen. Now I realize this won't do a lot, but over here it's a doubling in bandwidth, and from 15 to 30 kb/s is quite a jump.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI renamed the wireless network (ESSID) of my router from one of my Windows XP PC's, and then found that my Windows 7 PC could no longer see any networks at all (there are several from neighbours in addition to mine).
Nothing seemed to help - Rebooting, uninstalling drivers for the wireless card, etc. Eventually I got it to work by giving the network card a fixed IP address, and the it could see all the networks again. I could then change it back to DHCP and it was still okay.
I found a previous thread on this but the screens showing how to do this are gone.
I want to rename "home" to my own network name. I am on a wireless USB adapter.
when i play facebook and try to give gifts i get a notice about unencrypted connections, how do i stop this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe recently had to purchase a new computer, it has Windows 7.No matter what I plug into the computer via usb - Nook Color, camera, flash drives, external hard drive, etc, I get the message "This device is currently in use. Close any programs or windows that might be using the device and try again." Since is happening with every device I plug in, I'm guessing it is a Windows 7 problem. Is there a way to fix it? I've been just pulling the usb out but someone said I should shut down the computer first.
