How To Download Dos Into Windows 7

I am super computer illiterate. There are 2 specific DOS games that I want to download to my computer, but I have Windows 7 and of course W7 is so advanced DOS needs special stuff to work in it. So I was really just hoping someone could provide SPECIFIC instructions on how to download the games Castle of the Winds 1and 2 and Wolfenstein 3D on to Windows 7. I know they are both shareware (free) so it's perfectly legal to download them.

I am running windows 7 home 64, and every time I download something the download window that shows the progress of the download goes blank once the download is complete. This is very annoying because I have to open up the download folder again in order to open the downloaded file.

Using WIN7 64 bit and Thunderbird. Have just Installed PC Tools Internet Security 2011 and every time I download emails - very slow to download and I get the following message popping up.[Exception... I am trying to download sp1 for windows 7 (yes i know im late) along with some other important updates and its not working at all. It wont install any updates.
the updates included are:

I have tried system readiness tool, and also microsoft fixit program. neither have worked. Have checked in services that windows upate and base intelligence are running and on automatic. i have tried a clean boot to see if that would help. have deleted 7gigs worth of unnecessary files and still nothing.

Ok, so basically i have a brand new computer with windows 7 home premium 64 bit installed, windows is activated
I went to download software for my mouse and i get the run/save window and whether i click run or save as soon as i click it the window goes away as does the download progress window that was behind it. The file is never actually downloaded, i even tried the save option and then searched the computer for the file name. It isnt anywhere, all windows updates are completed. What is the reason i wouldnt be able to download from the internet.

Friend is having 2 relatively minor problems with his 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium laptop.
The first is that he was not able to access Windows Mail using IE9 which came preinstalled. I assumed it was a https problem, because the site is a secure one, but I was able to access other https sites with no problem. I did the whole reset IE without any change.
Then I downloaded Firefox, and was easily able to get to his Live Mail. So I figured the problem was IE9, which I dislike (MS is getting like WalMart - moving things like Favorites and History from one place to another. And who thought it was a good idea to use the address to search?).
I rather assumed that although IE9 came preinstalled, IE8 would pop up once I removed it. WRONG. It eliminated Internet Explorer from the taskbar, and rendered the executable unworkable. So I re-checkmarked IE9 and it was at least available, although the problem with Windows Mail remained.
Then I went to the MS site to get IE8. It is no longer available from them for Windows 7. Google searches brought up other sites, all of which eventually led me back to the original MS page.
Do you think the Windows Live mail problem is IE9 related? Is there an easy way to get IE8 for Windows 7?

I got a message flashing onscreen from Lastpass saying there was a file corrupt, but no further info as to how to fix it, I decided to uninstall Lastpass then reinstall, when I tried to download Last peass I got message saying "This file cannot be downloaded" the options were retry or cancel I clicked retry result was the same. So anyone used this tool? I have an ISO file that I purchased/downloaded from Digital River and I am trying to make a bootable USB drive. I have a brand new 16GB drive that I am trying to use so it has PLENTY of space on it. Anyway, I go to run to tool and it gets to the part where it says formatting and then it says something like "we are unable to copy your files, check the USB drive and the ISO and try again."

I have had two hard drives go out on me within the last six months. I purchased new hard drives and need to figure out how I can get windows 7 back on it. I never got around to making an installation disc (you think I learned from my first crash). I still have the confirmation numbers and have looked on windows . com for a download link. Is this possible or do I need to repurchase windows. I I'd hate to considering my laptops are not even a year old and just spent money on the hard drives...

How can I download service pack 1 for my windows 7 cause then my windows update downloaded it properly but I had to cancel it but when I tried to download it again it wont download I also don't want to download it directly from the site cause its 500 mb in windows update its only 60mb. My net ain't that stable and fast I really need the service pack so I can install IE10 preview.
