I got a language-learning program for Christmas and it has voice recognition software on it, but how do I enable this in Windows? I'm pretty sure that all you need is a USB microphone and that's it - is there anything else I need?
Iron Man has like this super computer interface system that monitors his suit, home, life, work. Pretty much a life assistant. What I want is to change the voice in my Speech Recognition System to that British accent J.A.R.V.I.S. (Iron Man's super computer) had in the movie. Moreover, When I say " Open notepad". I want the computer to open notepad and reply by saying "Opening notepad".Is that possible in any way or means?
I have Windows 7 Home Preimium and use a Logitech g35 headset. I use the headset as default for audio and speakers, and actually broadcast a Internet Radio Show with it weekly for the past number of years, as well as using it for other high end audio recording and voice overs. I have gone through the Wizard for the voice recognition and it refuses to register or see the microphone when it comes to reading the script. I have tested the microphone on Audacity and it records properly. Sound is working properly, just not being accepted by voice recognition.
I've just purchased a brand new Sony Vaio netbook with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, (1.7Ghz CPU, 4GB RAM).
As soon as I activate the Windows Speech Recognition (WSR) software which comes with the Windows 7 OS, the computer becomes very unstable and fails to open programs, even the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del). As soon as I close WSR all of the commands (i.e. to open other applications) are suddenly executed.
i have windows 7 64-bit with realtek on board sound and i can't get my mic to work and as i and my friend try to fix it we realize that that mic won't pick up my voice but my friends hear what i hear on the pc for example if i put a music on the pc from Internet my friend will hear the music but not my voice, i have a razer carcharias headset and yes i plugged it right and i even tried on my dad's laptop he has vista and it worked fine. and fyi my mic worked perfectly before but all the sudden it stop working, one dad my pc crashed because the graphics card got loose and i turned it back on and i realize my mic is not working anymore. i pretty much did almost all the procedures, will buying a sound resolve this problem, by sound card i mean a actually sound card or a external usb 1, it depends on which i can afford.
I installed win 7 on my computer with no issues. I built an intel system. My wifes computer is an AMD 6000+ with 4 gig ram. I installed win 7 64 bit just as I did on my intel system only the AMD computer only recognizes 2 gig of ram. I flashed the very latest bios (Gigabyte board) and still only recognizes 2 gig. I even noticed when the bios scrolls through the boot up process I can see only 2 gig. Anyone have any clues. I saw on another forum that some are having that issue once they installed win 7, but others don't.
how to record my voice for 5-10 minutes, save to my hard drive and send as an attachment to an E-mail.I have Windows 7 and I use Google Chrome 95% of the time.
I am looking for a way to use 'voice' in my email. We use Outlook 2010 if that helps. Instead of typing out a long email, I would like to 'say' it, then attach it to an email. Another route would be to record what I have to say and send an email with a link to the audio. This will help with upload/download of the emails. I know I could just use 'sound recorder' or Audacity, then attach it to my email, but I need something less 'techy' for a member of staff that is just a point and click type of person.
I can't find this as I dunno how to explain it for googling. unless I get irrelevant answers! When I clear my browser (IE9) cache, cookies etc, whether via ccleaner or the delete browsing history general tab, I get an annoying voice telling me "how to clear cache, then cookies etc" whenever I open a new window or most new tabs for a sometime afterwards, eventually it stops occuring, obviously fed up with me hitting the mute button, I've checked the audio settings in the ease of access center in control panel, all off & ok, the voice is different anyway.
I downloaded a program that speaks bulgarian text and it installs voice in Control Panel -> Speech Recognition -> Text To Speech and allows you to choose the bulgarian voice. So I want to use the voice in my application and the other people to use it. But they need to have the voice, otherwise the speech won't work. Where exactly are the voice files contained (Windows folder, registry...) and is there any way to copy them from my PC and to put the files in another PC, so the voice can work?
Is it possible to install new voice in Windows speak. I want to use a speak function in Excel and the only voice that I got is "Michele" a female voice.
I read on this forum about the speech recognition software on windows 7. So I found it but only by doing a search first. I thought it would be in the program list. I think it is great but I am only learning with it. I am suprised it actually knows what I am saying without learning like a lot of other software out there.
Anyway, thats not what I am writing about. What I would like to know is about the commands it has. I can only find about half a dozen. I have used the help menu but dont get far with that. For anyone who uses it can you tell me where to find the commands or do you have to train it to your own.
Is it possible to logon using only the facial recognition software? I've got asus n50vn with the asus smartlogon software, so i was woundering if its possible to only have that facial logon feature available at logon and someway of hiding the username password feature.
Does anybody know where i can find the speech recognition configuration folder so that i can make a copy of it and in case i need to restore it on a later time?
Im running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Just 5 minutes ago i wanted to start up my PC. I came at the login windows and choose my user account. I entered the password, its in front of me on paper, but windows did not recognize this password. I tried with my admin account, also no go with its unique password. I restarted the system and then i was able to login. What happenend?
I use speech recognition a lot. I think the speech recognition in Windows 7 is great, although I miss some things in it. For those who also have RSI, or just want to use the voice, I found two add-ons that I think is pretty interesting. The first add-on is the Windows Speech Recognition Macros, you can group several speech commands at once with it. The only drawback is clicking anywhere on the screen with your voice. Windows default "mouse grid" takes a lot commands to move and click. For this issue, I found another add-on for clicking anywhere that is pretty fast. It is a tiny add-on called Voice Finger [URL], and by the way I'm using it right now.
I would like to sign a document and turn off handwriting recognition. When I am in Wordpad, the tablet pc input panel tries to convert anything I sign into text. What I want to do is to just have the signature to be put into the document without it being turned into text.Would like to sign the document without my signature turned into text.
I have used speech recognition on my computer before, with a minor issue of it giving me grief over specific words. I haven't run it in a while and discovered it wasn't working right tonight. I thought it was my microphone, and sure enough when I unplugged the mic and ran the tutorial it was back to it's old self. Until I tried to run it in wordpad. I spent no less than ten minutes trying to dictated the words "she lifted"! Even when I finally got the right correction it wouldn't accept the numbers. I tried saying "spell it" but no, I had to manually click on it before it would open the spell it tab. Then it wouldn't correctly spell it either so I said forget it and had to type the thing myself! I couldn't even get 2 words in after typing it myself before it had to correct again. Fifty or more times I tried saying "the lid" and NEVER got the proper words out of the corrector. At this point I am extremely frustrated and angry and I will admit freely I descended into swearing at the speech recognition while attempting to close the piece of crap. Needless to say, now I don't even feel like writing. Now tell me what the ever loving point is to this program if it only works in the stinking tutorial? In trying to save my carpal tunnel from a great deal of typing I only ended up screaming in frustration at the computer and making my throat raw.
