I have just upgraded from XP to windows 7 x64, however windows 7 has no drivers for the epson stylus 830 printer. I am now unable to use my printer. I have been onto the epson website but no driver is listed there. I have also looked for vista drivers but the printer is only supported in XP.
Does anyone know of a workaround to get this printer working in windows 7? The printer used to work in XP x64 with the epson stylus 870 printer driver as there was no x64 drivers for the 830. There is not even a windows 7 driver for the 870 so I am really stuck.
Since I installed Windows 7, My Epson Stylus photo R220 shows all ink cartridges empty.
They are completely new cartridges. Also if I boot in to a different OS ( Linux ) It shows the cartridges are full! Is there a known problem with Epson ink monitors an Win 7 ?
I'm unable to install my Epson Stylus Photo 785epx printer program onto Windows 7 (64-bit) which is connected to a wireless home network. It hangs up and gives an error message that it isn't compatible by the OS. It worked on my Windows XP desktop fine.Epson.com doesn't NOT list any downloads for Windows 64-bit for my printer model nor am I able to find any useful links helping me with this issue on that site so please, no directions to go to the Epson web site.
I reformatted my HD, and reinstalled Win 7 Home Premium, and Office 10. Before it happily printed with those programs; now they say that printer won't work with Win 7.
2 weeks ago my Ink Status Monitor for my Epson Stylus Photo R360 was working fine (Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit),then suddenly it just stopped working (I'm not aware of any recent changes I had done that may have affected this). It still works on the printer display, but not on the PC. If I select "printer preferences" it is greyed out,but the box to disable it is unchecked. I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers countless times now (Windows keeps wanting to install Epson ESC/P2 which does not monitor),but I have downloaded the up to date driver from Epson and still no joy.
Installing wifi printer, which was very successful. However I've since had a computer crash and now I don't seem to be able to re-install my printer. I've used the software disc again and checked that the wifi connection is ok, but when I try to print a web page nothing happens! I have Windows 7 and the printer is an Epson Stylus SX435W.
I have TWO computers on a "home" network (Work group, NOT Win 7 Homegroup).Computer A is new and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. Computer B is "old" and runs Windows XP Professional. Computer A has two printers attached; Epson Stylus Photo R200 and a Lexmark X3690. Both of these printers work well with Computer AComputer B has an HP LaserJet printer on the parallel port LPT1. Computer A can print documents to the LaserJet on PC B as well as photos and documents to the Epson and Lexmark printers. Computer B can print to to the laserjet and the Lexmark BUT NOT the Epson. When I try to "add" the Epson to the printers on PC B there is a message that computer A does not have the correct driver for the printer. The same message occurred when I initially "added" the Lexmark to PC B, but I was able using the CD supplied with the Lexmark to located the 32bit driver and load it onto PC A.
I tried to do the same thing with the Epson but failed to find the driver on the CD. I have tried downloading a 32 bit Epson driver from the Epson site, (using compatability mode) but even after doing that I cannot add the Epson printer to Computer B - the same message that PC-A does not have the correct driver.
i own a Epson Stylus TX300F all in one printer, when i got that printer i installed it in windows 7 without any problem,it installed the scanner, printer all worked well but after some day the printer stoped working but scan was working fine,i thought it might be printer problem so i checked the hardware all was ok the printer gave a good self test report and i could print easily then i thought it might be driver problem.
i went to control panel in printer option i could see my printer there but with yellow mark on it i went to properties to update drive, it downloaded but couldnt install gave error, then i uninstalled all epson driver then again tried to install frm the cd wich i got scan driver installed but when it came to printer driver.
it gave error although first time it did work fine, then i went on epson site downloaded latest printer driver tried to install again it gave error, then i went to device manger i could see the scanner but printer i coudnt see, wasted hours of serch but failed.
I have the above printer and wish to install the driver on to my Mini HP netbook. Problem is i have no CD drive and the Epson website thinks I have Windows NT?
Would be great if i could get a driver installed and running so i can print via wireless!
I have an Epson Stylus Color 600 (knowing it's an old printer... but I like it)... I had to work really hard to buy a HP laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium..... I also bought a converter cable (parallel to USB). The laptop recognizes de cable, but when I try to add a new printer (using the virtual USB001 port), I can't get the stylus color 600 driver.
My Epson stylus CX3600 automatically installed on vista on a plug and play basis. This is not happening on windows seven. Hopefully this will be resolvable.
I have tried unsucessfully to install the printer driver for this Epson printer (NX420). Have spent many, many hours on phone with Epson support, emails etc. Changed security settings, turned off virus protection, used disk which was supplied, downloaded drivers from website, downloaded drivers to another computer and copied to DVD and tried to install from that DVD. Error message continues to say, "Driver not found". All efforts have failed. Printer works fine on Win XP computer, no problems. Epson says "there is a problem with your Windows 7 computer to not allow the download."Forgot to add that this Win 7 Desktop is on a home network with a wireless laptop running Win XP. Both are Dell computers if that matters.
