May 21, 2011I made the choice to reinstall Windows 7 after finding my pc picked up Trojan Dropper/Gen-C according to Superantispyware. After installation I disabled unneeded/unwanted services, one of which is Remote Desktop Services. I did this on the original installation with no glitches. With the reinstall, this particular service 'resets' itself to the default(Automatic/Started)after every reboot even though I disable it. I have to re-disable it every time. According to Task Manager, any remote services listed are still Stopped.

Jun 11, 2012I am on a Gateway SX2370.I know i should try a system restore, but i have no restore points and i've had this computer since around last christmas-ish.
This is how it all went down: I was playing a game and since my internet was disconnected, i unplugged my router and replugged it.It connected, but now the windows glass color changed to complete silver.I feared the worst and tried replugging some things fully in since some were loose. My computer automatically shut off, even though nothing completely essential to keeping the system on was plugged out.I turned it back on, only to see HIM, the message of Non-Genuine windows.Here is the MSDiag:

There is apparently some card on the front of my system that has the Activation code,. Oct 26, 2011When I save files from programs (aka Word, Photoshop, anything)onto my Desktop, I cannot see them directly from the actual desktop. I can only see them when I open up Explorer, and click on the Desktop tab. Then all my files are visible. I thought they were hidden...but they apparently aren't.It possibly seems like a refresh error.I did find a way around this..I go to Control Panel >> Appearance and Personalization >> Under Folder Options >> Show Hidden Files and Folders. I click on Reset folders, Apply, and then OK, and my missing files pop up on my actual desktop.But from then on, any new files I save are only visible in Explorer again. I don't want to go to Control Panel everytime I have to save something to the desktop? I've run Norton and Microsoft Essentials and I have no viruses. What can I do?I just found out I can also see my files after pressing f5 (refresh)so I guess the problem is HOW do I get my computer to refresh the desktop automatically?
