I have a micromax funbook. It has a microusb port and I have a micro to USB adapter. In teh manual they are saying I can connect to net using a lan cable via a LAN to USB adaptor. So I bought a LAN to USB adapter (by ENTER, Costs 450/-* MRP) .. I checked it at the shop using their net connection, which was in PPPoe mode(Doesnot need a dialer). It was working and I could get kind of ok connection speed.
At my home I have Broadband in Bridged( I need to dial to get connected) mode. So I have to create a dialup connection dial to connect to net. So when I use the adapter at home cannot connect to net. How to get bridged to get working on a Tablet? I am using bridged because I can keep my modem on and can connect to net quickly when needed. If there is no other way I will switch to PPPoe mode. But don't advice to "buy a modem with wifi" etc..

I get this error when I try to connect my nokia c3 using an USB cable:
"USB device Not Recognized. One of the Usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows doesn't recognize it".
It works fine for other devices, only for this one gives me this error. I tried to reinstall the drivers again but in vain. I even reinstalled my system and it gives me the same error when I try to connect my nokia c3.
I jst bought a new wired internet connection. But when I try to connect it says error 961 - The remote connection was denied because the user name and password combination you provided is not recognized, or the selected authentication protocol is not permitted on the remote access server. but when i try with my cousins' laptop it works perfect i'm trying to sove this from last 4 days ,also reinstalled Windows bu not working
So ive set up incoming connections to my Windows 7 ultimate personal computer. I've configured the 1723 port on my router as well so connections can be allowed.
I've added a user and password for the vmware machine to connect its running Windows 7 x86 home premium.
When im trying to connect to my personal computer from the virtual machine ill get the errors listed in the title depending on the network selected for the vmware machine being NAT/Bridged ect , as Ive played around with them to see if it will work.
3 computers, DT1 (Desktop running XP Home w/uptodate patches), LTJ (laptop running Windows 7 home premium w/uptodate patches), LTR (laptop running win 7 home premium w/uptodate patches). Both laptops are HP/Compaq. Only difference is built-in wireless cards are different. Ive tried wired connection as well. Shared a physically connected printer on DT1 Used the "create local port" option on LTJ and was able to connect just fine Used the "create local port" option on LTR and received error 0x000004cf I've tried every hint I can find (short of doing a system restore and purchasing "fix-it" software) but the problem still exists. I can ping DT1 from both systems using DT1s name and IP address I set the workgroup on all systems to "WORKGROUP" Both laptops are in the same Homegroup and can see each other LTJ can discover DT1 but DTR cannot
I was on my laptop, connected to the Internet, going about as normal. My Wifi Internet went out completely and then would not reconnect. When I tried plugging directly in to our modem, it came up with error 633. It seems like one of my programs is interfering with it being able to connect. I haven't added or changed any programs recently, I've only uninstalled a few games/programs that weren't in any way related to the modem.
What programs could be the cause of error 633? Is there a list? Or is there another way to fix it? I can add more detail if needed. Well, I went out today and left my computer on while I was gone. When I came back, it was connected to the Wifi again. I've been using it for a bit, but now it's going on and off again. It's on for the moment though...
I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet and whenever I try to draw online, it uses the Windows 7 Tablet input. I'm unable to make quick marks due to the "flick" and if I hold the pen down for too long, the cursor will spin in a circle and a pop up box will appear, kind of like a right-click. I'd like to turn all of this off- everything that has to do with the tablet that was already installed on the computer, except for the basic Bamboo Driver.
I have a Tablet running windows 7 and have seen some Desktop pc,s that have a Dock at the bottom of the desktop in the middle with icons in it and just wanted to know how can I get that on my desktop for my tablet.
cloning a hard drive with operating system and all.
Details: I have a couple of tablet pc's (Motion LE1700). One is in perfect shape (1), the other (2) has a physical problem with the USB ports. I have installed and configured W7 on 1. I can't do the same on 2 because I can't connect to it. I would like to make a copy of the hard drive on 1, take the hard drive out, replace it with 2's HD, copy that back, and then replace both drives.
What program do I use to clone the drive, what steps should I take, what should I look out for? The drives are 64G SSD's and I have a 500G external USB HD for the transferring. I don't want to just reinstall everything because it's a PITA, I want to copy the good drive to the other one.
I have an HP laptop with Win 7 Home Premium. When I boot with my new Wacom Intuos3 tablet plugged in (USB), the system hangs after the Windows logo loads. (Dark blue screen). I have to do a hard reset to get the computer to restart. Windows boots fine with the tablet UNPLUGGED. The tablet works if plugged in AFTER Windows is loaded. I have tried all the available drivers for this tablet. Changing the drivers didn't affect the function of the tablet or eliminate the hangup at boot. Wacom says the issue is not with their driver, but with how Windows is loading the services. I have turned off "tablet pc input" in Services; "Wacom tablet service" is turned on. (Wacom tech didn't think these services conflicted but some had posted the suggestion to turn windows tablet pc service off.) Although I can use my tablet, it's a real pain to have to unplug at each reboot.
I am trying to install windows 7 onto my meego tablet and need to create a bootable USB, as it doesn't have a cd drive. I have the Windows 7 installation file (which ends .iso) and have tried to install by following the steps outlined in articles I have found online
(Problem 2)got really annoyed with the cursor rings
(Problem 3)and experienced slow pen action.
Working for severeral days with these issues, uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting preferenses for the wacom intous 3 tablet, delaying the wacom driver load... and so on.., did not help that much. Nothing I tried worked out completely perfect. Therefore I made a decision to follow the procedure below, - to solve all of the problems mentioned, and it's working!I write this to hopefully spare some people the unnecessary time and frustrations with these problems. Win 7 are equipped with software for Tablets PC's, which's interferring/messing up the wacom tablet driver.(The lost driver)I was thinking; do I need the Tablet PC in Win 7? Answer: No! I have a Notebook. But it didn`t work out just to disable the Tablet PC in "Computer management, Services." (Right click on My Computer, Manage, Services And Applications, Services)is drastic and pretty time consuming, but for me absolute necessary for a permanent fix.I saved all my settings and files, reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7 and all the programs.
I followed this algoritm:Reinstalled Windows 7 First: I did not plug in the wacom tablet, and did not install the wacom drivers at this point.Installed all my programs EXCEPT Wacom drivers, did all the updates for windows and my programs except anything regarding the wacom tablet (The cursor rings)cursor rings from the pen following this article: Configuring Windows 7 and your Pressure-Sensitive tablet to avoid cursor(The driver)Restarted the computer Disabled the Tablet PC in "Computer management, Services," because I don`t need this application at all. (Double click on "Tablet PC" or right click / properties, disabling)Restarted the computer to be safe, but I could possibly just stop the service Now, I installed the wacom driver, making sure I installed the driver BEFORE plugging the tablet. I used the current driver version Wacom pro615-3a_int.exe.Then I checked to see if there was any windows update to my wacom tablet, (control panel, windows updates) but there wasn`t any. If there would be one, I will make sure to disable it, because I don`t want Microsoft to mess with my tablet!(The slow pen action)I changed the settings in Control panel for Pen and Touch:Selected the Flics tab and
- deselected "Use Flicks to perform common actions quickly and easily"
- deselected "Display flicks icon in the notifications area"Selected the Handwriting tab and
- Selected "Don`t use automatic learning, and delete any previously collected data"Hitted the OK button. (These settings will only slow down the pen action, despite what it says)
I have to critiscize The Microsofts, as said - giving me severeal days with frustration and destroyed productivity?
I've been using my tablet pretty well stationary on my desk or the last year. When I installed windows 7 beta, I enabled the tablet function and it worked fine. Fast forward a few months; I installed windows 7 professional, but never could figure out how to enable tablet functionality, but I haven't really missed it until now. The computer doesn't detect the stylus near the screen. I've enable, disabled and re-enabled Tablet PC Components. I don't know what to do...
Can´t find a answer so decided to make this post. Using Sticky Notes on Win 7 is really nice, but sometimes I would use my tablet to write/draw manually to a note.
The problem is if I make any mistake or just want to delete, erase, part of what I wrote its no possible (i think).
I can at any time delete/modify etc my text but not what I drawn. The only way I found was delete the note and start over. There is anyway to get around this?
when i used windows 7 RC 7100 the genius drivers from windows vista worked ok. But now under RTM 7600 these drivers dont work. I'll thanyou if someone know how fix this problem, i need the tablet to work.
I can't find the Windows 7 64bit drivers for my Medion MD41217 tablet anywhere and I know they exist, because people have mentioned them.Jumping mouse problem [Tablet] My tablet is refusing to work without the drivers, I've changed all the batteries and I've been into the control panel to try and adjust settings there but nothing's working.I've got the tablet to sort of work - the mouse is doing fine. The tablet won't sense the pen is near, though. The light keeps flashing rather than becoming constant.
Ever since I upgraded to Windows 7,I have been having problems with my Intuos 4 graphics tablet. It seems as though the drivers are "uninstalling" themselves, because every time I start up,I have to re-install the driver(I don't have to uninstall the original). Recently , the problems have gotten worse. Now, even after installing the drivers (again), I'll get no input from the tablet.
I bought a Tablet PC on ebay running a copy of 7 ultimate evaluation for tablet and I'm trying to establish a connection between the tablet and desktop Pc running vista to transfer files. The USB data transfer cable I bought isn't recognized and I was wondering if there was a driver I could download so the PC's recognize each other.
I have a tablet on my desktop pc and it's working fine but i have all this stuff that I don' need.
1. When I click (put pen down on surface) i see a little animated circle.
2. When I click in a text field it automaticly displays a little keyboard icon on witch I can click to open virtual keyboard and type stuff.
3. After first click there is slide-out keyboard always present on the left side of the screen.
So my question is: Is there a way to disable all this "helpers" so I could have my tablet behave like a regular mouse. Where and what should I look in control panel?
I was amazed at how fast Windows 7 (Ver 6.1 build 7100) installed. From inserting the DVD I was surfing the net 18 minutes later. Thats amazing.
I have attached a screen shot of the drivers that I am missing. I have tried using the old XP drivers that I had, but Windows 7 doens't pick any of them up.
I use Wacom Intuos 2 graphics tablet which works fine, except for one thing. I have to install the driver every time I do a cold boot of my PC! I used to have a similar problem under Vista but with that, simply unplugging and re-plugging the USB connector resulted in the tablet being recognised.
Now, as I said, I have to reinstall the driver. I am using the latest one available.
