Computer Freezes After 8-10 Minutes, BSOD Follows?
Jul 1, 2012
I have a fairly new computer (14 months) that never gave me any problems until recently. My computer will 100% freeze after roughly 10 mins of use (doesnt matter what i do in the 10 mins). I'm running windows 7 home 32 bit, i5 quad core (cant rmb alot of details, will dig up more soon), asus p8p67 mobo, wd 1tb green and 4gb ram.
The only way to "unfreeze" my computer is to restart it, if i leave it as it is without restarting I'll get a BSOD that says "KERNEL INPAGE DATA ERROR"
I have a dell inspiron N4010 windows 7 operating system and for some reason, after two minutes of me logging on to my computer the screen suddenly dims, the mouse disappears, and the entire computer freezes. No matter how many times i restart my computer the same thing happens. I don't have this problem though when i'm in safe mode. but when i'm in safe mode, i don't have access to my virus detection software, so i can't scan for a virus either in normal or safe mode.
Since yesterday my computer freezes only after some minutes of booting. Never had an issue of this kind before, my PC was always performing well without any problems at all.
The computer is freezing when im watching videos with VLC and i cant even restart it with ctrl + alt + del because it doesnt respond, so i must restart it manualy pressing the reset button.
Some weeks ago i bought a new PSU (coolermaster silent Pro M 500w) but i think its not related to that because untill yesterday all was fine.
This is what i get: Nome do Evento de Problema: BlueScreen Verso do SO: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 ID de Regio: 2070 Informes adicionais sobre o problema: BCCode: 124 BCP1: 0000000000000000 BCP2: FFFFFA80051414B8 BCP3: 0000000000000000 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1
My Computer Freezes Every 5 Minutes! I then will hit Control Alt Delete and then cancel out right away and then everything is fine. What could cause this? My temporary files and history have been cleaned out. My anti-virus is working fine with no problems.
I just upgraded my bios yesterday, and now my computer reads all of my ram! Now things are acting kinda weird. When I first turn on the computer, is starts fine. Comes to the desktop screen fine. But then it kinda freezes for about two minutes. Can't do anything except open the task manager and play with the mouse. It won't even connect to the internet. Then when everything starts working again, it takes like 2 minutes literally for any web page to appear. I have checked with internet company twice, and both times they say there is no problem with the internet connection.
My computer freezes every five minutes or so while playing games or running Firefox. It's been doing this for the last 6 months and most of the time it freezes for a few minutes then runs fine for a while. Then it freezes again. Eventually I have to hard reboot.
My computer lags every few minutes: the cursor stopped moving the sound repeats the bit it is playing at that moment and the screen freeze for up to 3 seconds, and continue to run after without having any signs of error.
Recently (for the last few months), I've been having a problem where if I sleep/hibernate my laptop (Dell XPS 15), whether that be by shutting the lid or manually, upon waking I receive a BSOD after 5-20 minutes. The message presented is a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FALIURE. Interestingly, until the crash my USB ports also stop working completely.I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64, which is NOT the original install, but a new one made from a retail CD. I installed this straight after getting the laptop (July 2010), and had no problems until mid-March.
My computer has been going through this phase upon restart where it will BSOD around every 30 min for a couple days, then all of a sudden will be fine untill the next restart. I am running a ASUS laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium that I have had for about 2 years. I uploaded the latest .dmp file, I can upload more if necessary.
I am also using BlueScreenView but I don't understand the codes for this to know what is the cause. SEQUENCE OF SYMPTOMS: First application I am on freezes, cursor is waiting (cursor freezes and resumes, then freezes again). Windows Explorer freezes as well (turning white and then disappearing to only desktop wallpaper). All application closes as if it were restarting. Error windows pop up for applications, such as C++, security programs, browsers... BSOD.

A few weeks ago I upgraded from windows XP to windows 7 and did a clean install.Everything was working smoothly except when the Visual setting is set on Quality vs. Performance, either my computer would completely freeze after a few minutes and I have to do a hard boot OR it's going to give me the black screen flicker then "Display Driver Stopped Responding and has recovered" error. Most of the time it doesn't recover though and it just freezes completely.I wish I could provide a BSOD minidump but my comp never BSOD. Only freezes with no keyboard/mouse activity. Applications affected:Computer also freezes/show me the error when I try to play video on itunes, play minecraft, while playing Sims 2 and league of legends. Seems to me that all the application that puts stress on the GPU doesn't work anymore :But the thing is, all these said applications were FINE when I was running windows XP.
Recently, my computer always had BSOD. It started with a freeze on my computer, cursors are not moving, suddenly the screen go blank and BSOD! I have already attached the minidump file. I don't know if this is related, but a few days ago, I updated my display driver from optional updates from Windows Update, I think the BSODs start after this. Then, I tried to install the driver from ATI website, still had the blue screen, reinstall the display driver, still had it.
So I just got this new Asus n53sn-xr2 laptop using windows 7, and already I'm having some problems with it. Basically what happens is it will freeze seemingly at random times (at first I thought it was firefox, but I just got it again using google chrome... I'm not sure if its related to browsing the internet or not) and the computer will, after a short period of time, become completely unresponsive. I can't even load task manager so the only way to turn of the computer is with the power button. One of the times my computer freezed I got a BSOD and it said "driver power state failure". I took a picture of it and I can provide the other information too if you need me too. I can return this computer by monday if it sounds like a hardware issue but if its not then I would much rather fix it because I've already put so much time into transferring all my files
I dont know whats going on with my PC I think some system files are corrupt but heres my problems:My PC locks up (freezes), reboots sometimes for no reason, flashes a BSOD sometimes, and one time It rebooted gave me error "bootmrg image is corrupt. the system can not start
my computer has been freezing and randomly restarting the last couple of days.
When it restarts sometimes it has to boot a couple of times, it seems as though it can' boot the BIOS, the bios splash screen is also different, this also changed 2 days ago. The first couple of times it froze, now it just restarts randomly. I suspect the motherboard.
System Info:

Start computer from sleep, log into Teamspeak 3, open Play with Six and launch ArmA 2 OA ACE mod an play. But today, my computer screen freezed and I couldn't do anything except move my mouse. After doing a hard restart of my computer and getting an error(batch file f:dosmenu. BAT missing) and doing another restart and then I got a BSOD. I can only start my computer in Safe Mode.Im running Windows 7 Home Premium, Alienware M17X laptop.
Firstly, my computer was going into shutdown last night when I finished using it. I came back in because it sounded like it was still on, and it had rebooted itself and tried to begin a repair automatically.Secondly, I let it continue this, only to come in at 11pm the following day (it was 3AM when I got off) and it was still repairing. Then, I cancelled it (which it told me I couldn't do, so I rebooted) and went back in and logged in. I started Avast to check for viruses and both scans (quick and full) flashed on and off quickly without scanning, so I figured there must be a virus preventing it from scanning. I scheduled a boot-time scan and rebooted. When it logged back into Windows, it did not boot-time scan, but instead just moved on and logged in. I checked Avast and it said I was unprotected. I tried to go get Malware Bytes, and it crashed and then BSOD.I tried to boot up in safe mode and the safe mode startup froze at classpnp.sys, as did safe mode with netowrking (I was going to try a remote access from my laptop to fix it.)When I try to boot up normally, it freezes on the Windows logo. When I try to boot from 'last known good config.' it freezes or goes to a black screen. On all accounts it BSODs after a short time. The few times I've gotten it to boot up and log in, everything loads up, then it BSODs again or freezes before I can get Maware Bytes up and BSODs. As far as where I could have gotten a virus (which I suspect this is caused by) is that recently I downloaded and installed the "Listening Singing Teacher" (which will not allow me to uninstall because it says that something was not installed properly.)As I was working on this post, I got it to boot all the way up and log in. I tried allowing remote access from this laptop and it wouldn't let me get to the network menu to select it. I then tried to open the internet, but it refused. I then tried to do a system restore, but the start menu froze before I could open it. Then BSOD and reboot.I just tried Safe Mode again and it froze on Classpnp.sys once more.
When i play league of legend while using skype, my computer tend to freeze and stops functioning. This is a recent problem which has not happened before in the past.
I recently changed the cabinet of my computer and since then I've been getting freezes and BSODS, when it freezes it just gets stuck at whatever I'm doing and makes a buzzing noise through the speakers. I haven't had time to read the error codes when I get the BSODS, it reboots to fast. The freezes/BSODS appear to happen more frequently when gaming, but it also occurs when I'm just browsing. have Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and have tried reinstalling it but it didn't help.
It all started yesterday, while I was browsing the net my computer suddenly froze and got a bluescreen. When it rebooted everything looked fine during startup except that it froze after a few minutes again. During the freeze I can move the mouse, but I can't open any programs, and any programs that already are open stop working. Can't ctrl+alt+delete or do anything else than reboot the computer by pressing the start-button.
I didn't visit any websites that I haven't visited frequently these past weeks so I don't think I've gotten anything from them. When I start in safe-mode the same thing happens after a few minutes, cant start any new programs, and any programs that already are active stop working.
my pc right now (2-3 years old) is slow as hell and freezes every few minutes for 1-5 minutes. i just did a clean install 2 weeks ago and it is still like that. i have a 465gb hard drive and 230gb of it is currently free (i am making videos with my friends and we have a gaming channel on Internet what is doing pretty well right now so 150gb is taken away by videos. i delete them right after making them so most of the time the hard drive has 380+ gb free)
also if this matters than i should currently be dual booting my win 7 with ubuntu but 1 day the ubuntu folder from my local disc was deleted (i have no idea how, 1 day it was just gone) and since then it doesnt let me choose to go into ubuntu. is it completely deleted or some parts still remain and is there a way to uninstall/delete those parts.
this is all the information about my computer (i think) i took that from speccy so probably there is alot of information that is useless for you but still.

after i start my computer, after approx 5 mins everything freezes and that's it .. I can't even press Ctrl alt del. it does the same thing even if I run it safe mode with networking. 2.20 ghz , 3 GB , 64 bit windows 7 HP?
I just upgrades to Windows 7 64 bit from Vusta 64 bit 2 weeks ago and it has been working fine until the last day or two. Since then, the computer has started to freeze within 2 or 3 minutes after it starts up. I even tested it and it will still freeze on the log in screen. When the system does freeze, sometimes the mouse will move temporarily, but it will usually stop moving altogether.
Also, the keyboard will not work and any sound that was playing at the time of the freeze will loop or just go crazy. The only things I have that run when the system start up is AVG Anti-virus, Precision (my overclocking/ fan speed tool), and Spybot Search and Destroy + Teatime.
I can't think of anything that I downloaded or installed before this happened and I think it just started out of the blue. I never had this problem with Vista, so I don't think it is a hardware problem, but I can't do anything while my computer is like this. Does anyone have/had similar problems or know how to fix mine?

I have a brand new VAIO laptop and the task bar freezes every 5 minutes or so. the computer is new and I am very disappointed in VAIO. My HP was soooo good.
I love windows 7, but it keeps freezing (allot) sometimes less than 5 minutes after I turn it on and soetimes 1 an hour after. So does anyone else have this problem? Or does anyone know how to fix it? I'm probably gonna try to reinstall Windows 7, just wanted to know if anyone knew a solution to the problem before i did it.
im using windows 7 dvd maker im trying to burn a dvd after its burned it plays on the computer but if i put the dvd in a dvd player it freezes after 10 minutes i tried turning the filters off im not sure what to do?
On a random basis Windows 7 freezes for about 2 minutes, then proceeds with the activities in normal fashion. The operating system and software is on a Solid State Drive while everything else is on a hard drive. I have troubleshooted all the normal suspects but cannot find the reason for the temporary freeze.
[code] Since purchase, every 2-10 minutes the laptop will freeze for 2-4 minutes during which in some instances I'll be able to move around with the mouse and switch tabs in chrome, but not much else, and in other cases it will be a complete freeze.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L305 Series laptop. It is a Intel Celeron, with 2GB of RAM and 146 GB hard drive space and it is Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. Every time I turn it on, it works normally, but then it freezes every 5-10 minutes and I have to turn it off by pressing the on/off button and when I turn it on again, same thing works and then freezes.
I have problem with StarCraft 1.16.1 it freezes after 1-5 minutes of playing. But system continue working (winamp plays ok). I even can't exit StarCraft, it not respond any keys and I have to press reset.
System: Windows 7 build 7100 with all updates from microsoft.
Does anybody know whats wrong with my StarCraft or Windows?
I am running windows 7 Ultimate rtm on an Acer Aspire 5515 and it goes into/wakes from sleep mode just fine. However when waking from hibernation, it logs in fine and then a minute or two later, it freezes forcing me to hold down the power button to shut it off. When booted back up, of course i get the option of going into 'safe mode' hit start normally and everything is fine.
I could just not use Hibernate but it would be convenient if when going to school, i could use hibernate so I still have all my battery power when i resume since sleep still uses a little of the battery up. Is there a fix for this or is it just a bug M$ will have to eventually fix through updates?
