Audio Output Device Not Working?
Sep 24, 2011with the audio and tough pad drivers not working in windows 7. I up-dated windows XP to Win7 ultimate, and now their is no sound and the tough pad does not work. These are the error codes from msinfo32!

Dec 28, 2012I bought the Editors Keys Studio Series SL300 Microphone. The Mic is supposed to have all of the required drivers already installed inside of it so that when you plug it into the computer it will be ready to go (it's a USB Mic btw). The problem is when I plug the mic in, it says that the USB Audio Device is not working properly. When I look under the properties for that device it says: Device Status-This device cannot start. (Code 10). I've tried troubleshooting the device and everything but nothing is working. All of the other devices installed in the mic are working properly, just not this one. Since it won't work properly the mic does not even get detected by my laptop, it doesn't show up under detected recording devices.

Jul 28, 2011I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on a Sony Vaio VGN-NS190J. I have gone to the Sony site and downloaded and installed all drivers, etc. Everything works great and there are no errors in Device Manager, but the audio device does not show up. When I go to Sound Properties it shows No Audio Device Installed. I downloaded both versions of the audio drivers from the Sony site, both Realtek drivers, and when I run them the install starts, I click few a few screens to start the install and I get the box saying it's checking the system and installing. The box then just closes and it never installs. I even connected to a Sony tech who took control and tried to fix it but was not successful. They said it must be a hardware problem. The sound was working fine on Vista before I upgraded to Win 7.

Sep 2, 2011so i was connected my bass amplifier (from headphone output) to the line in and i recorded the sound with soundbooth. when i played it back it was kind of skipping so i changed the quality to a higher hz and i recorded and it sounded right. when i went to move my amplifier a bit, because cables were all over the place, strange noises started comming out of the speaker. i unplugged the amplifier and restarted the computer and the sound and the realtek icon were gone . so i reinstalled the drivers and the icon was back, but the computer wasnt detecting when i plugged in my speakers or headphones. so i dugg deeper and checked my BIOS and everything was ok. i then went and uninstalled every driver related to sound with device manager and driver sweeper and reinstalled everything in safe mode. i even tried windows recovery and it still didnt work.i'm wondering now do i have to buy a soundcard or is there something else i can try?there aren't any yellow triangles in device manager and the realtek hd audio says that the device is working properly. Nov 6, 2012I recently build a Frankenstein desktop, or at least that's what I'm calling. I started out replacing the motherboard in a HP Pavillion p6130y desktop.
After some research I found that the stock motherboard as pretty outdated so I decided to go aftermarket. I wanted to replace as little as possible but now the only original parts are the dvd drive and network card. The network card has to screws on the back to attach an antenna and is a PCI1x card.
Current Problem: I now have a problem where after installing the card and Windows 7 Professional , I can see the list of available wireless networks including my own.
But, I cannot connect to any of them even though my own network has full signal strength.

Jul 22, 2012New to the Tech forum boards but I am having a problem with my HP Pavillion dv6t. The hard drive went bad so I installed a new Seagate 1TB internal hard drive in the notebook. Starts up fine and then it says that "No bootable device found"---insert disk press any key. The disc is in the cd rom, I went into the BIOS enabled the CD/ROM boot option. I also went into the Boot option menu and tried selecting the internal cd/dvd rom drive option and I went into the actual boot order screen and adjusted the boot order so it read the cd-rom drive first then the hard drive. I also am using the HP Application and Driver recovery DVD. I am not sure if the disc is bad or cd drive is bad. The other thought is that because it is a brand new hard drive there is no information on it for the drivers so maybe the computer is not processing the information.

Feb 27, 2012I turned my computer on to find no audio playing. My main audio device plays bac audio from DAW just fine but if I load a video in WMP i get a code C00D11B1. If I try to play a test tone in the sound settings I get "Failed to play test tone". I have other audio devices connected and also get the same errors which makes me think this is a registry error or some windows communication error. The only thing I think might have caused this is when I was trying to get my ram to run at 1866. This is a new build and the ram should run at this speed as it is in the QVL but that is another issue. I should also mention that I have tried reloading the device drivers, updated the BIOS, and restyored windows from a previous state with no change.

It says I need to remove anything plugged into the computer, but nothing is plugged in.i updated the bios to the latest version, and tried the install with many different hard drives.
