Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Stuck At Login ?
Oct 19, 2011Ok so today o decided to uninstall alienware my colors or something like that. Downloaded it from dell website. Its for windows 7 the name of was breed. So after i uninstalled it my icons arrows were gone it was the app icon and the arrow that goes with it was like a page and two blue dots. I couldnt acess any folders.no control panel. It was all blabk. Desktop appeard fine except for the arrows were missing on tje icons. It asked me to restart so i did.it went pass the windows logo loading screen. Then came the welcome screen.it prompted please wait with the circle. Problem was after that. No login or anything. No password on my account so it should have loged in. It doesnt hang or anything. It just stays on that screen. Only options i have it restart sleep and shutdown aling with that button for speech keyboard and someother things. I tried safe mode no luck same thing doesnt log in. Tried restore to previous known state. Nothing. I cant acess repair option as i have no windows 7 64-bit cd. Only 32-bit cd. Also it doesnt show my account.

Stuck On Startup Repair Before Login To Windows 7?
Jan 27, 2012Everytime I start my computer it goes into startup repair searching for problems. I tried going to F8 into safe mode but it goes bac to searching for problems in statup repair. Is there any way I can bypass it from going to startup repair page and go into windows.

Jul 25, 2011when I was playing a game and it crashed on a loading screen, I then could only boot into windows extremely slowly so I knew something was wrong. Since then I have booted into safe mode and done a virus check and it found nothing, I had then done a start up repair multiple times and for one reason or another the system would then reboot just as the login screen is loading. I have recently de fragmented the drive externally and run a slow disk check which found nothing. I've launched start up repair again which says it's unable to fix the problem and I can't boot into safe mode because it'll reboot. I should also mention I was having problems with the drive a few weeks ago where I was getting different error messages before booting but I managed to sort that out. If a solution can't be found it would be safe to say the drive is failing. Here is the bsod when I disabled automatic rebooting along with the startup repair error.

Apr 21, 2009I've been using seven (32bit version) for quite a while now on my laptop ( MSI GX710PX - amd turion64 x2, ati hd2600 (512MB), 250 GB,2 gigs of ram). The first installation did the problem mentioned in the title of the topic after i installed Kerio personal firewall - i didn't know what to do, so i just reinstalled windows.
But now it happened again:
The comp was running for 3 days, i turned it off @ around 2:00 am, then turned it on at 8:00 am - for the first time i could login, and i even see the taskbar and the background, but the icons never showed, i couldn't click anything on the taskbar either, ctrl+alt+del did nothing, so i had to restart it manually.
The login screen showed up, i entered my password, but it never made it to the desktop, it just got stuck like that, the HDD wasn't spinning or anything - restart - in safe mode it boots up normally , so i uninstalled a few recently installed programs ( mkvtoolnix and alike ), but after restarting it got stuck at the login screen again.
Now normally i would just reinstall windows, but after two months it has too many programs - lot of time to install them again
So i thought i'll ask here for help! The notebook has XP as it's main OS, seven is installed on a virtual harddrive (30gigs).
Computer Has Now Been Stuck In Pre-login Network Settings
Jun 4, 2011I just upgraded to windows 7 (rather a repaired version from windows 7) and why setting up, I was prompted to chose how to connect to my network. My computer has now been stuck in this pre-login network settings thing for over an hour now. I finally figured I'd cancel and fix it later, but there is no cancel. So i restarted my computer, only to have it start exactly where it left off. I was sure to completely turn off my computer, then it started over when I turned it back on. After unplugging my internet, it skipped the process.*

As in when i turn of display last local users, so that if i was to enter XXX into the username and XXX into the password and it will connect Although i wouldnt mind being able to set up roaming profiles between these systems either.

Recently however, the mouse would work at the login screen, but after I would login, it would stop working. Its drivers are up-to-date. It seems as though something changed recently that disables it after login, and if I reconnect it I sometimes get Error Code 43, and it says it is not recognized, then again, sometimes it will work flawlessly, until i put my computer to sleep.

It logs in fine on my 2 other PCs and my Kindlefire.I have checked for viruses with Avast and A-Malware Bytes in safe mode - nothing. These 2 pick up 98% of stuff. Personally I dont think its a virusn IE9 - Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files, everything under the Geneeral/Browsing History section. May 16, 2012I've been using my parents computer for the last few months and decided to make my own user/log-in the other day. After doing so, I cut/pasted my photos folder into my new user directory (or whatever, I'm not very techie..). I have thousands of photos, my BF is a photographer, and I can view most of them. However, in one particular folder 90% of them aren't viewable! Says I don't have permission... When I log back into parents windows, I can see the photos in my directory (as they are no longer located in theirs) but there are little gold padlocks on the ones I cannot see on my log-in. I've tried changing permissions, ownership, you name it.. I've looked for help on line and tried everything. The only thing that seems to work is if I right click on each individual photo and change things that way.

Aug 30, 2012For over a month our HP Compac Presario CQ57 displayed that our Windows 7 might not be genuine. Hence, the computer keeps crashing. This morning the computer crashed and would not come back on again. The computer is stuck on Welcome. I finally got back into the computer and put a product key number, which I took from my other new computer, and it stated that the PN was accepted. However, we are still having the same problem. It will not start in Safe Mode, it will not work if we do a repair, because it asks for a cd, which we did not get with our computer. What can we do get our computer to go past the welcome screen?

Stuck Windows 7 Welcome Page?
Jun 29, 2012I can only access my main computer running windows 7 64 bit in safe mode + networking - normal access gets stuck on welcome screen after entering password just prior to loading desktop. In safe mode looking at icon notification (show hidden icons) I saw windows update stating 'is downloading updates (71% complete) (whatever I have done 71% remains constant) running windows update troubleshooter finds problems I get two lines of results both saying 'Repair Windows update components Not fixed. I Have tried previous good configuration, system restore, (to 2 days ago prior to a windows update installation) and disabling windows update service. none of these have made any difference still stuck on welcome screen if I do normal start up. Also nothing happens when I try to run windows update from Start and All Programs, no error message just nothing

Nov 2, 2010I'm trying to install Win7 on my PC. I'm getting a black screen right before the language screen is suppose to be shown. This is happen right at the beginning : the white installation line is running in the bottom of the screen and then a Windows logo appear, right after that suppose to be the small window with the language selection, but instead , I see a black screen.
I CHANGED the cd's for couple of times, this is not the cd. I also copied the image to a flash drive and tried to install from there - Stuck exactly at the same phase.

Jan 16, 2012if I try to boot it normally it gets blue screen and dies. The same thing happends if I use fail safe. (crashed at crcdisk)So I thought idd reinstall it. However when i boot up from my windows cd, I only get the 2 possibilities to "setup and recovery". No matter which of those I choose it goes to "loading files" and then to "starting windows".I've reinstalled quite a few computers, with xp and windows 7, and I've never had any trouble doing so. So i thought idd try to take out the hdd manually, but I realised I dont have the cables to connect it to my other pc, and clean the hdd that way.

I am only able to use my computer normally every 5 minutes (and just for 20 seconds). Only the mouse works all the time. When I start the task manager nothing looks wrong.Everything works well in safe mode (I am currently using it) so I am a bit confused. Could it be an issue with the hardware?

Apr 27, 2011I am having an issue with my windows configuration as usual when a Windows update comes along I click shut down and it updates and then once I power back on I get to the Welcome screen and it configures the new updates. Well right now I am having trouble because I run the update and then once I turn it back on the configuration stays at 0% and I have to power down and enter in Safe Mode so it reverts back to it's former updates. I don't want to have to go through this endless cycle forever is there anyway I can find out what these updates are? Oct 8, 2012I have a Lenovo G570, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.I first discovered this problem a few weeks ago whilst playing Heroes Of Newerth, it was behaving like ALT was being held down, I couldn't type and it was unplayable, it happened many times and it seemed to only happen during or after I had played HoN. But it gradually became worse and started happening all the time and when I hadn't been playing at all. I clean re-installed Windows 7 Home Premium twice since then and it has gotten to the point of me being unable to type to login upon restarting the computer.It seems to stop temporarily (for only a couple of minutes) after time but doesn't stay corrected for long. When it does happen I can't type, and when I do push keys it goes to the shortcut associated with the key as if I was holding ALT (e.g pushing F brings up FIND/SEARCH) and double clicking a folder brings up the folder's Properties menu.

May 13, 2012I noticed the little windows update avatar on the bottm right on my Windows 7, so decided to check out what the updates are and selected the 1 important update, and 1 optional. Then, it appeared that the update initiated, but only stated 0% complete and 0 data downloading. I waited for about 15 minutes, still nothing and then shut the program down and rebooted. After I rebooted, it took almost 3 times as long to boot up to my desktop. It starts up as normal with the cmos info etc., then the standard blue windows default opening screen with the little circle (like the old hour-glass) showing that something is happening, then the screen goes black for a few minutes, then finally boots up to the desktop. Next, I tried to manually go to the control panel and scroll down to windows updates, when I click on it, all it does is get stuck and I am unable to close the windows update window either manually or through task manager. I eventually have to restart in order to get rid of the windows and control panel windows.

Windows 7 Stuck At 'shutting Down'
Jun 3, 20121) My windows 7 stuck at "shutting down". Doesn't matter if i'm restarting or shutting down. If i don't touch it, then i get a BSOD after about 10 minutes.
2) every once in a while i have no connection to the internet. If i troubleshoot, windows says there's a problem with my local area connection, but doesn't fix it. Only if i restart, and then troubleshoot, it resets my "local area connection" and everything's fine. I remember in windows xp i would just press "disable" on the local area connection, and the enter again, and it would restart it automatically. But i have no idea how to reset it manually.
