Unable To Receive Email In Windows Live Mail?
Feb 23, 2011Installed Windows 7 Service Pack 1 yesterday. Today, Windows Live Mail is asking for my username and password for my Comcast mail account. The name & password provided are correct. When I OK, the box just keeps reappearing. When I cancel, error message states a wrong password was provided. I am using Firefox as my browser. Nov 28, 2011This problem just started today and I am a bit confused when I try to get my email on WLM I get the above error. I am going through my ISP and using POP3 the POP setting is pop.midstatesd.net and smtp.midstatesd.net all of the setting are correct so not sure why I am getting the error. I should mention that I am connecting using a laptop with a Dlink router and do not have any issues connecting to the internet. I am unable to ping the pop.midstatesd.net so figured something was set wrong on the router but cannot find any thing that would be blocking it there.

Jul 25, 2011I'm in grave problem here. I just installed windows 7 x64 a few days back. And initially I installed the 32bit version of k-lite codec pack for my windows media player. The media center worked fine then. It was loading my ffdshow and ac3filter along as I checked it.But then yesterday I noticed that the same pop-up od recommended/express install of WMP came again. Initially I thought that it must be some bug or something, but then when my MKV and AVI files didn't work in WMC, I realized that somehow WMP x64 got triggered, and now it is using the x64 bit of WMP in WMC. And I just wanna revert back to 32-bit WMP in WMC.

Jan 15, 2009I have checked two seperate DVD movies and they stop after the splash screens, FBI warning and Corporate logos, and never make it to the DVD menu.
This DVD player is an external player and I have no problem with playback on my Dual boot with Vista Home Premium.

Outlook 2010 Email Accounts Disappear Or Don't Send Receive
Oct 23, 2012I use Outlook 2010 to process several email accounts. I noticed a few days ago that a couple of the email accounts had vanished from the list. I also noticed that one still present was not sending or receiving. I tried re-entering the password and when that didn't work I deleted and re-entered the account. It tests fine but the test message never shows up in my Outlook inbox. It does show up immediately on my phone when I check my mail there.

Dec 20, 2009I can't get eithe WMP or MC to play a DVD. I've set the region code. WMP acts like it will play, but then just goes blank, and MC says it cannot play the DVD. These are original discs, not burned copies. I have a custom built system, with 2 graphics cards (GTX 260 and a GT 220) 6 GB of RAM, and an i7 processor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jul 2, 2012I recently tried to use windows media center to connect to my xbox. I've had my hp laptop for over 2 years now and may have never even used WMC. But whenever I try to launch it, the blue wheel next to the mouse pops up for a second and then nothing. Nothing happens at all.
I've tried going to programs and features and turning off both WMC and WMP, restarting, and then re-enabling them. This has done nothing. I've even gone into Windowsehome and deleted all the files in it and did the disable/enable thing (I did, of course, make a backup of the folder). I looked through the programs and features themselves, hoping to find WMC so I could see if there was a repair option, but it doesn't show up. How can I make WMC work?
Windows Media Center Crashed?
Nov 8, 2012I started watching an OTA recording with WMC7 and about 2 minutes into it WMC7 stopped. A message came up saying it stopped & had options to restart WMC or go online (which appeared to send info to MS) and a 3rd option I don't recall. I just restarted & everything worked just fine.
I looked at event logs & found this. I did a search for that ntdll.dll but could not find a definitive answer to what caused the problem. The typical comments were to reboot or reinstall software. Is there anything from this listing that tells or hints at what caused WMC to stop?

How To Disable Windows Media Center
Dec 23, 2012I can't open any programs because of windows media center. I tried to access the "default program" which can be found on the control panel but still the WMC pops out and also the regedit in the start-up menu still WMC pops out. All my app icons are WMC. If i open it WMC will pop out. Lastly, I tried to make a system restore but it didn't work because WMC pops out again.
