Windows 7 Keeps Pixelating And Dropping Out Randomly?
Sep 17, 2011
My Win 7 keeps pixelating and dropping out randomly.A message has been received that there is a solution to the problem, but unfortunatley I when I click on the link it does not take me to it. Says Problem with Nvidia Graphics driver.
Now, I recently had to change to new ISP, that can't provide cable where I live. It's stupid DSL internet through the phone cable. With my old ISP there were zero problems, but now it's quite bad.Connection drops randomly for about a minute, then it comes back without me touching anything. Windows says it cannot connect to the primary DNS server when that happens. The problem happens more in the evening, which leads me to believe I cannot fix it, but any suggestions would be welcome.
Could it be like, not the line overloading because of other people, but the router getting clogged because of being used all the day, or something? O_o There's 4 PCs connected to the same router by the way so traffic gets quite heavy. I can't use my old router. I tried, but the cable that goes in this one is smaller, phone cable, not the ethernet one I plug in my PC.
I've lately had this weird issue while im playing games, it just drops to desktop every 5 minutes, and if i press any letters on my keyboard it makes a sound as if a program denies it (don't really know how too explain it better, hopefully you understand). There is no error or such, i can just click again on the game icon, but it will dropp out after 5 minutes. This happens also while i surf the internett and do other stuff. The drops dont always occure, but when they do, they occure every 5 minutes, almost precisely, as if it was scheduled or something.Ive tried reinstalling graphic card, sound drivers, and installing older versions with no luck. I've tried closing almost all active programs (including desktop manager and sidebar), without any luck.It seems as i have some kind of invisible program
I have intermittant problems of the mouse dropping out during a work session. I have an imac with windows 7 running in boot camp. The mouse is a microsoft optical connected through a powered hub onto the imac. This set up has been working fine for 3 years but recently the mouse just becomes disconnected about once per 2 weeks. After reboot all is well for a while.Any ideas or advice is welcomed.
Windows 7 keeps dropping my connection. It started happening about 3 days ago. Thought I fixed it by turning off my wireless router but it came back. When it happens the connection bar drops from 5 bars to 4. To get it back I have to disable the adapter in the network and sharing center. I'm using a Nexxt Solutions NW230NXT Wireless Router and I have a Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter.
I have recently installed windows 7 64, The problem I am getting is that it keeps disconnecting from the internet and when that happens I can not even get to the router by typing in the router address it just hangs.
I have a Nvidia nforce 780i motherboard with latest drivers, i have not installed the network controller manager I have tried disabling the IPv6 and disabled the side scalling in options Also I have given my Pc a static IP address on the network I have also disabled the windows TCP autotuning in CMD
The problem keeps happening sometimes its 30mins or a hour and other times it can be within 5 mins of booting up, to bring back the connection I have to reboot my PC, as disabling then enabling my router/network it still won't connect
I have also tried uninstalling the nvidia network drivers and letting windows 7 install its own but still it drops out, the icon in the tray says internet access but it does not connect to webpages or email.
Also sometime i play a online game and it stays connect i tab out and try a webpage and just hangs , but the online game is still going ?, i close the online game and webpages still dont work
I am facing trouble with windows 7 and my internet connections. Facts are I have 02 sony Vaio with windows7 start edition and they are connected to a Apple Airport router (one at the office, a Time Capsule, and another at home, an Airport Extreme). They connect fine at first, but both keep loosing connection every 5 minutes. At the office I have a MacBook that does not disconnect and a Windows XP that also does not disconnect.
I have been struggling with my pc dropping internet connection and not seeing the router as well as it freezing at random times, from 5mins use to several hours, but lately its alot more. Its a cyberpower system machine I bought in oct 2008, its had ALOT of use. See below for system specs below please if needed. It will freeze at all sorts of times, does not matter which application I have open. I have to hard reboot. It will also freeze on shutdown sometimes. I get all sorts of errors on connection loss, it will say the default gatway not available, it will ask me to reset my router too. It resets Local Area Connection adapter all the time, when I try to resolve the issue. It also says "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration, and resets all my settings back to Obtain IP addresses automatically, as well as Obtain DNS server address automatically in the Internet Protocol Version 4 settings. If I put all the IP addresses and default gateway stuff back in without resetting the router, it then says Troubleshooting couldn't find the problem. Resetting the router usually does work. But not always, sometimes I need a restart. It Sometimes it works if I restart, sometimes it still won't see the router.
I tried putting the IP address in as static, put in the subnet mask, and default gateway.I use the Preffered DNS server IP in there as it helps use network gaming and platforms better like SecondLife.I've tested the router network with same cable I use on another laptop so the cable is fine.Changed ASDL filters twice.Bought new router.I've replaced my harddrive.I've tried two different driver versions for my network card which is a Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller I've resit my memory.Tried restoring system to a few days before it started freezing again.I've reinstalled windows a few times now, usually it works for a while (week or two) after a fresh new install. Its a fresh new windows 7 I bought as the machine came with vista.I've manually tried to put in all the drivers I need myself as I don't have the disk that came with my machine. (I have no idea if I've done that right)Sent it in for a service clean and checkup.Turned off the option that windows shuts my network driver down to save on power.
SYSTEM SPEC:

My network cards drop the connection and are listed as "unplugged" every time I game online, regardless of the game. I have 2 internal Realtek PCI GBE family controllers on an ABIT IP35Pro mobo. There is no set instance of why/when this happens only that it is completely random and I get the usual Event ID's in the system log after it happens:
The TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper service was successfully sent a stop control. The reason specified was: 0x40030011 [Operating System: Network Connectivity (Planned)] The Computer Browser service was successfully sent a stop control. The reason specified was: 0x40030011 [Operating System: Network Connectivity (Planned)]
There are no other events, Application or Security that happen right before these events other than MS Application experience service entered the stopped state in system log. It could happen every few hours during the day to every 5-10 minutes after midnight( this is what is very weird since it did not do this prior to midnight this many times ). I sit behind a uverse router with it passing through a gateway from 2 powerline adapters. I have no problems downloading torrents, watching movies or anything l else strenuous on the network, but gaming. The only fix I have found is to disable the card and re-enable every time.
I have tried the fixes below with no luck. 1) Disabled Computer Browser service 2) Disabled TCP/Ip Netbios Service 3) Updated Realtek drivers 4) Rolled back Realtek drivers 5) Changed IP address 6) Reset TCP/IP Stack 7) Completely blew out Windows 7 Home and installed a fresh Windows 7 Ultimate I had 8) Disabled windows 7 from shutting these cards off 9) changed power management to never sleep the system
I bought a Netgear wireless router and usb adapter 2 years ago and have not had any problems connecting to the internet until I bought a new computer this week. The only thing I can figure is it has something to do with Windows 7 (my old computer ran Windows XP).
Here is what happens. 1. I plug in the adapter. 2. I connect to the internet 3. After about 30 seconds my connection drops.
Here is what I have done to-date (with no success): 1. Turned off Windows Firewall 2. When in to device properties and turned off option for Windows to turn off device for power savings mode 3. Downloaded and installed most recent driver for device.
What is so puzzling to me is that I can actually connect to the internet for a short period of time. That makes me think the router is alright. Is there something in Windows that would break the connection?
I have seen several OLD posts on the net about Windows 7 64 bit losing connecting with USB external drives, when copying large files...I have also NOT found a resolution.
I use Windows Explorer heavily. I am constantly moving files and batches of files from one folder to another. I have one very annoying problem with this but I bet there is a way to fix it.Here's what I do - I highlight several files in the right pane, I hold down the right-mouse-button over the selected files, I drag them over to a folder in the left pane, and then the annoyance happens. If I don't drop those files immediately into that folder, the entire list of sub-folders pops open as if I hit the little plus to the left of the folder. What makes this a major annoyance is that the folder I wanted to move into has now changed its position in the left pane because the sub-folders popped open.
Now, sometimes I desperately need the sub-folder list to open because I forgot to find the folder I needed before moving the files. It is a nice feature. However, if only I could increase the delay-time. I'd like to give myself triple the time to drop the files into the folder before the sub-folder list opens. There has to be a registry tweak for this.
I have been having issues with my USB dropping off sometimes, when i log on my system picks up my flash stick and USB powered mouse and shows them in " my computer" but for some reason they drop off, i hear a ping sound and they disconnectI have a Panasonic notebook and i am running Windows 7 Premium 64 bitI had a issue with the power cord, my dog chewed it so i thought was the issue i have replaced the cord and it seemed fine all day yesterday then this morning when i tried to use it without the power cord after 15 minutes they dropped again.
I am suddenly faced with a problem, which has never appeared before.I have a HP Scanner [Scanjet 5530] which since having moved from Windows XP to Windows 7 has until the last couple of days appeared as a DEVICE, and has been workable. However in the last couple of days it has disappeared from the list of Devices and its only by switching it's power supply off and on does it comeback.I can then use it for whatever needs to be done, but as soon as its not needed it disappears yet again.
Whenever i am playing games on my laptop the wifi drops a lot.. i know there are inteferences like phones and microwaves and such, butis it possible that is because of heat in the wifi card area on my laptop?
Our main computer is downstairs a Windows xp the router and modem are connected to it (Cisco Linksys, modem Westell 6100). The upstairs computer is a Windows 7 with the adapter connected to it Linksys I believe. The upstairs computer keeps loosing the internet connection. I am computer iliterate and am lost with all the jargon on this website.
Windows Home Premium 64. my wireless connection drops about twice a day. Sometimes, it takes the wireless router with it. I have a bunch of stuff on the wireless network, but it seems my laptop is the only one causing a problem. My primary card is a intel n-1030, but I've also tried a wireless usb adapter and have the same issue. I have even tried a different router. Same result. updated drivers, flused the DNS.
A couple days ago I removed one of my hard drives and reinstalled windows 7 to a new SSD. I have a second hard drive that stores all my documents, music, videos etc. Since then the second hard drive will disappear from windows completely. I can not see it in the computer folder or in device manager. Then if I restart the computer it will be back for a couple of hours...
I have a USB 3.0 that keeps dropping the connection to the devices I try connect to. For example it recognizes my external HDD but then drops it second later. Then it flashes on and off in being recognized. With my wireless keyboard it doesn't recognize it at all.
I have install a 3.5" harddisk on a USB 3.0 external casing, when I plug it into the USB 3.0 port, it come up a while (like 30 seconds) then disappear, and never to be seen again. If plug into a USB 2.0 post the same thing happen. The following are my PC configuration:
Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 Asus P7P55D-E Pro BOIS version: 1602 USB 2.0 : Intel 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset, Driver version: 9.1.1.1020 USB 3.0 : Renesas Electroincs USB 3.0 Host Controller, Driver version: 2.1.28.0, FW: 3025 External casing is HUR1-SU3S2 with single WD20EARX harddisk.
In the begining, I thought it is the problem of the external casing, but when I tested in a laptop running Windows 7, it is working fine on a USB 2.0 port.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, running on a Dell. I purchased this computer back in February 2010, and the internet HAS ALWAYS been wired directly to the router. All of my networking and internet was constant until January 2011, when I switched from Comcast to Verizon (big mistake), as soon as Verizon routers were installed in my house, my computer (only this computer, not my laptop or my Xbox 360) kept losing internet connection, and I had to either unplug and plug in my ethernet cable, or troubleshoot and repair my default gateway. Well I switched back to Comcast again, and this problem is still standing. Every 6 hours or so it happens. I have tried everything involving disabling IPv6 and resetting my winsock in command prompt. So this must be a compatibility problem with my computer and the comcast router, right? The router is a Netgear Wireless-N 150 Router, WNR1000v2.
Since September I've had issues with my internet connection dropping repeatedly. It happens frequently, and everything I've tried to fix it has failed. It's really annoying and I've been trying my best ever since it started happening to fix it. I have a Dell N5110 Computer with an Intel Centrino 1030 Network Card. Here are some things I've tried to fix the problem:
Disabled IP Helper Service Disabled IPv6 Turned off Power Management settings for my Network Card Flushed DNS
[code]....
This is the only device on my network that gets any sort of network issue, and the problem seems to be just with Windows 7 as I've heard of people with the same exact setup as me having the same problem, and then reverting to Vista or XP fixed the issue. Also when I use the troubleshooter, it will find the problem and fix it, but the problem will come back. It said the problem was the Default Gateway was unavailable.
I got a new laptop 3 days ago after my old laptop of 4-5 years finally decided to die. Now, with this laptop, ever since I've had it I keep having problems with the wireless losing connection to the internet. On my previous laptop this never used to happen and it was Windows vista. This laptop is Windows 7. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the network adapter, searched online for a new driver (used device manager to do this because I can't seem to find any drivers just using Google) and there was no newer driver available. I've checked the power options to make sure that it doesn't get disabled or w/e due to power saving. I've un-ticked the box in the power management tab in my network adapter's properties so that it doesn't get turned off to save power. I've also uninstalled Norton to see if that was causing the issue. The network adapter I have is an Atheros AR9485WB-EG. The drop outs usually happen when I speedtest, do Windows Updates or any kind of updating for that matter and when I try and torrent. If I move my laptop from where it currently is and put it in another room, the internet is fine. So I'm thinking it's the wireless card in my laptop. And as I said above, I never used to have any of these problems with my 4-5 year old Windows Vista laptop.
I have a problem that is driving me nuts. I upgraded to Win 7 a few weeks ago and since then my wireless connection hasn't worked properly. I have an Alienware M17x (I have installed all the new drivers for Win 7) including updaded chipsets etc. My Wireless network adapter is a Broadcom 802.11n using BCMWL664.sys and vwifibus.sys drivers, connecting to a Belkin F5D7230.
The only way I can get it to work is by uninstalling the network adapter, re-booting the computer, letting the computer re-install the drivers, then manually re-entering the PSK security key for access thru the router then I can get onto the internet. I tried the tech guys at Alienware who said it was a "software" problem and I would have to pay for assistance (i've only had the computer a few weeks) Anyway, there were no help at all.
I've upgraded my Dell Inspiron 1525 from Vista 32bit to Windows 7 rc1 64bit. I've installed all old Dell drivers from a guide I've read. Now, I'm having problems. I get disconnected from the internet, it says that it cannot connect to the local network. It happens 30+ mins while using the laptop. All I do now is reboot the computer.
I bought a new Toshiba P755 running W7 with Intel i7. I use a NetGear router. My internet keeps dropping off on my new computer but all the others are still online.Once I run troubleshooting it states there is a gateway issue but I am needing to do this every hour or sooner
Acer Aspire 7745 Notebook (purchased 10/25/2010)Win 7 HP 64-bit (build 7600) (last update 11/11/2010)Broadcom 802.11n Wireless Adapter (5.60.48.35)Since the last update, the wireless network keeps dropping its connection randomly. Windows Network Diagnostics says it can't connect. Status shows limited connection. Manual disconnect and re-connect says "Not in range" although it shows in the available networks with strong signal. Disable and re-enable causes the entire system to lock up and I have to power down. The only reliable way to reestablish a connection is to reboot or wait some random amount of time until the system decides to recognize the wireless network again.
I have Desktop A upstairs unto which a wireless router is connected for various devices.Downstairs I have a laptop that I use to connect to the wireless network. I also have Desktop B downstairs. I have an ethernet cable connected from my laptop to Desktop B.There is no drop downstairs so I wanted to connect the desktop somehow. I've enabled the wireless adapter to allow other computers to use its connection to connect to the internet. However, 2-4 times a day the connection simply stops.I don't have any of the computers on Homegroups or anything. All network drivers for all devices (wireless and wired) are updated. Using a Belkin N3000 wireless router.
I just recently received a new dell xps 9100 loaded with an intel I7 six core 930 processor, 16 gigs of ram, 2x1tb hardrives, soundblaster x-fi soundcard, ati radeon 5870 1gb video card and a few other goodies. when im listening to my music while running other applications it starts to crackle and pop and drops in quality drastically. I have tried installing a new soundcard, installed new drivers, changed the power settings and its still doing th e same thing. I am running windows 7 64 as well. The dell technician has even been here and tried to resolve the issue with no success. with the headphones on as well it still does the same thing.
