View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm almost positive that once I completed an event on the Windows Live Mail Calendar on my desktop that it would update the calendar online. I just checked and it hasn't. I did reformat my pc in Oct. Is there something that I'm missing? I looked for "import" or something similiar online, but cannot find it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using the "live" mail service from Microsoft. I want to ask if there is a possibility to synchronize contacts and calendar. My client is a Microsoft Outlook 2010 (maybe in the future a Windows Phone or android).
Is there a way?
I'm currently using WLM as my email client with my ISP's email account and not signing in to my MSN account.
I can import contacts and the like but their birthdays don't appear in the Calendar unless I sign into MSN and then only the contacts' birthdays' that I have in MSN appear in the Calendar.
So if I don't want to use my MSN account with WLM then I have to create the Birthday calendar manually...
This is my gripe with WLM, it "encourages" the end user to use a Live mail account or all the features in WLM don't work.
If I'm wrong about this could someone explain how to get non MSN contacts birthdays to appear in WLM calendar.
I woke this morning to find an event for today 1-1-2010 called "Matt Work's birthday" (not Matt's work birthday) as if the guy was named Matt Work.
I cannot delete it (with conventional means) and I didn't place it there. I have a US holiday calendar running in the calendar, but this is one called birthday calendar. It's the only recurring day each year.
It's recurring event but shows no info and will not let me edit it or delete it.
What the heck is going on here? What's the best way to delete it. I can't find it in appdata-local-windows-live mail-calendars.
I use MS Office Live Small Business for my website and email. I use Outlook to manage my email on my computer, connecting to Office Live with Outlook Connector. Till now, I have not used the online Office Live calendar, I've simply used the default Outlook calendar on my computer. Today, though, I received a meeting request from a client. I "accepted" the meeting and checked in my calendar to make sure it had recorded it, but could not see it. I eventually found it in my online Office Live calendar. So now I have two active calendars, which I don't want. Can I tell Office Live to record appointments to my Outlook default calendar? Or would I be better off switching to the online Office Live calendar? If I do the latter, is there a quick and easy (!) way to transfer all my appointments from my default Outlook calendar to the online version?(One reason for wanting to use only one calendar is that my HTC smartphone will only sync to one calendar, so it doesn't pick up any appointments on any other calendar.)
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe windows livw mail icon that tells me whether I have new mail, has disappeared from the toolbar on my google hompage. How to I get it back; and how did it disappear in te frst place?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am talking essentially of record and tv guide shortcut, at left of the stop button. It is the second time that it happens.
The first time I read that it could be solved through Windows features. So I turned it off and hell broke loose. I had to do a complete reinstall. I won't try this again.
So I have a complete new installation, but the buttons seem to have disappeared after tens windows updates that I applied.
I wonder if it is something wanted after this one was executed; October 2010 Cumulative Update for Windows Media Center in Windows 7
I just real;ized that when it is in full screen the buttons are back.... normal behaviour?
On instruction from my ISP I deleted my windows live mail email account to try to overcome a repetitive issue of having to re-enter my password each time I hit sent/receive mail. When I went to tools/accounts and hit remove, all of my emails disappeared.
I have been through the process of trying to import them back into windows live mail, I have uninstalled/reinstalled, deleted the windows live mail folder (having kept a copy on an external drive) and have tried a variety of imports to no avail.
I even installed Outlook 2007 and tried an import and even an export to Outlook 2007 direct from Windows Live Mail. Although there has been some progress in respect of seeing an export/import happen (i.e the emails are counted) and folders appearing in Outlook in the left hand side, there are no messages evident within the folders. I have even managed to appear to import them back into WLM but although the folders appear in the left column the messages are not there.
I did not export the messages prior to the account removal and adding back in WLM, which I suppose I should have done, but I have not deleted the WLM folder in user/.../application data/local/Microsoft, so they are still there but not visible. New mail has now been added from the server to further complicate issues.
Is there a way to get all of my mail back to how it was? I appreciate that numerous folder appear in the left hand side as storage folders with some unknown names.
wanted to set up some dates in win 7 calendar only to be told by 'help' that "this version of windows does not have calendar"dont need anything flash, just something that will nudge me into action when a date and time i set up earlier has arrived. would prefer no freebies (there;s no such thing as a freebie, they usually screw up my machine or secretly keep track of what i am doing....
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was able to get Windows Mail to work on Windows 7 and created a folder for Windows Calendar, put the files there but the program will not execute from Windows Mail. It will run on it's own, but the reminders won't alert me and like I said, it won't run when I click the icon inside Windows Mail.

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsers who have used Windows Vista for a long time will surely miss the Windows Calendar program in Windows 7. As you may know, Microsoft has excluded Windows Calendar feature from the latest iteration of Windows.
If you have been missing the Windows Calendar in Windows 7, here is smart way to get back this feature in Windows 7. And if you are new to Windows Calendar program, read how to get most out of Windows Calendar program guide.
Follow the simple instructions given below to get back Windows Calendar in Windows 7:
1. First of all, navigate Windir/Program Files (C:Program Files, where C is your Windows 7 drive) and create a new folder named Windows Calendar.
2. Now, download this ZIP file and extract the contents to C:Program FilesWindows Calendar.
3. Navigate to C:Program FilesWindows CalendarWindows Calendar (where C is your Windows 7 drive), right-click on the WinCal.exe program and select Pin to taskbar option.
4. Click on the Windows Calendar shortcut on the taskbar to start running Windows Calendar program in Windows 7.
5. Enjoy Windows Calendar in Windows 7.
I understand that in upgrading from Vista to Win 7, I will lose the Vista calendar but I have read that it is still available and works in Win 7 with some tweaking.
Do continuing Windows updates affect the performance?
I will upgrade to Win 7 but not if I lose the Vista calendar. As long as MSFT keeps upgrading Vista, it's worth more to me that the Win 7 OS.
I do not understand MS making Vista's Windows Calendar unavailable in Windows7. Live only provides for an email notification, where Windows Calendar reminded me at various time/date setable stages (eg. weeks to hours) with pop-up notifications on my desktop, as I do not continuously keep mail on my desktop and do not check my email continuously. I require various setable time/date notifications to pop-up on my desktop (eg. "in an hour I need to get ready for my doctor's appointment"). I don't wish to have my telephone wake-up service to do the job my Vista Windows Calendar used to do and I do not wish to have to revert to Windows Vista to obtain what I used to have. Some Windows7 programmer got ahead of him/herself and took away a useful tool and I want it back! Is there a method for installing Vista's Windows Calendar on Windows7 and retain the pop-up notifications, or is there another program (even at a charge) available the provides setable time/day/week pop-up notifications on the desktop?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've read the excellent tutorial on getting Windows Vista Calendar into Windows 7. Only problem is that despite having eight original copies of Windows Vista, none of them at 64-bit, as is my Windows 7 install. As a Vista owner, is there a legal way to get a free copy of Vista 64-bit? Failing that, is there a safe way to get the required files?Further to the above, I notice that there is a Microsoft update that includes WinCal.exe [clicky] is there any way to extract the required files from the .MSU?

My question is: how can I get the calendar I used to have in Outlook 2010 and import it into Outlook 2010 I have installed now?
When I print my calendar to hang on my refrigerator the color of the font is the same color as the back ground and subsequently it's very difficult to read. It's also very small. I can change the fonts size of the dates and change the background of the printed copy?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a lot of dates I need to remember and don't have a phone (unfortunately) or anything related that would have such applications. So basically I'm looking for some sort of "thing" that can remember all the dates, notes and reminders I want to keep track of. It would be great if there was a Rainmeter skin that does this. Also any sort of applications would be great as well because alerts and popup reminders are always helpful.
