Windows 7 - Cannot Print PDF Files Downloaded From Internet
Nov 22, 2011
On my new Windows 7, 64bit PC I can not print any pdf files that I download from the Internet as it says I have not chosen which pages to print, but I have. I can open the same websites on my laptop (Windows 7, 32 bit) and download and print all the files. How do I get around this? On some sites I can't even view the pdf or save it to PC let alone print.
when I download a photo or image, or even capture a screen shot and save it to a folder, I cannot see it in that folder. I originally thought i had not hit save properly or not saved a file that I thought I had - but when i tried to re download an image or capture it again and name it the same thing - I got a message saying there was already a file by that name in the folder.
I have tried ensuring all hidden files are shown, and refreshed the window to no avail. but when i restart the computer, I am able to see the files in the folder as the should have been displayed all along. also confusing - when i look in the folder after saving...say if I've saved 12 images into the folder from the net or screen capture, but the folder is only displaying 1 image - it was say the folder only contains one image...
how can i fix this so i do not need to reboot every time i want to see newly created images?
So basically me and my brothers always argue over who should pay the bill for internet because of download so much. So I want to know if there is any program out there that allows you to track which computer downloads and how much it downloads from the internet. We have a main pc and a few laptops. So if there is any program that shows like IP or computer name or anything and shows how much they downloaded.
When I try to download programs from the internetthey either don't install or if they do I don't know how to access them, know whether or not they're running, and make it so I can tell what the progress is or if I'm useing the program at all?
I purchased a computer "open box" at a retail store. Everything seems to be working OK, but whenever I save or download a file using IE8 I can't find it!. It doesn't matter where I save in the save as window the file cannot be found even by the search. BTW if I use the Chrome browser everything seems to be OK.
My problem is that when I download files, the download proceeds normally, but the file is never saved on the specified destination regardless of the chosen destination. It doesn't give any error, the download window simply closes. If I instead of choosing "save" select "run" nothing happens after the download is complete. I have tried to reset my internet settings and I am not using a download manager. I am using Explorer 8 and since I can't download files I can't try with Firefox or Chrome. I have also tried to use "Windows Update" to see whether that helps, but this function gives an error message saying that the service is not running.
I am using IE9 Browser on a Windows 7 Professional Platform. I would like to enable IE9 to open up a downloaded file (in this case .doc / .docx ) file directly without asking me if I want to Run / Save / Cancell the download.
(As an example : I have a word document on a website. When I click on the link for the word document I want it to open up directly in Word 2007. Without any prompts coming from the IE 9 Browser about saving or opening the file).
i'm using an hp laptop with windows 7 home basic 64 bit . i have a big problem in downloading files . whenever i download any file from the internet with any extension and try to open it , it says "file is corrupt" . also , while playing a Internet video , it stops playing suddenly , although the grey tape ( that shows the downloaded part of the video) is full . i tried many different browsers , also i tried downloading Internet videos using real player , it always doesn't work.
Im downloading files to my desktop, but the only way i can access them is going to open containing folder option from the download box (firefox), which just takes me to the desktop folder. if i navigate to the desktop folder manually, they cant be found. nor do they come up in a search. this just started happening hours ago, so unless something out of my control made these files hidden all of the sudden, im not sure what is going on.i have downloaded different file types from different websites, so its not just a problem from one site or file type.
But if I try to download something else to the folder, the files I have previously downloaded show up in the list of things in there. It's like they're invisible except that folder is set to show all hidden files. They don't show up in search results either
i have this crc error problem for like 1 month now. When i download archive type files with utorrent (or other clients) i get crc errors while downloading or after downloading when i try to extract the archives. This happens only to large files (3gb+). I used Memtest86 and got no errors, also used windows 7's test for memory errors and got no errors. When i checked my HDD for bad sectors i got 7 bad sectors (HD Tune).I changed my network cable,HDD cable...still the same problem. What can i do?Is it the HDD? Can i still use it?
I cant seem to save any file every time I download a program from the internet to my c drive (specifically under program file folder)- keep on prompting need permission from the administrator. I tried the cmd command still not working.
A while ago my brother was messing around on his computer and encrypted some of his folders (right click > property > advanced > encrypt). I'm not exactly sure how many or which folders got encrypted. Now every file he downloads is automatically being encrypted, and we're not sure how to revert the settings. Is there a way to stop it from encrypting files automatically again?
Every time I download something from Internet Explorer for like 2 MB or more it turns out to be either corrupted or unfunctional after download. At first when I download a file the browser scans it and tells me its unsafe and wont open even though I know it isnt because I have used it many times before on my previous computers, but I tried downloading the same file again and it said it was unsafe BUT I was able to run it either way, after downloading that file it seems to bug up at Install in some point, I have no idea what is causing this so I turned my Laptop back to Factory mode but im still having this problem, Tried to turn it back to Factory mode again, still nothing.
he sent in his laptop to be fixed(dead screen) and when he got it back, he cant save files that he downloads no matter the extension( .msi, .txt, .rar, .exe, .jpg, .zip). it worked fine before.when he downloads something through any browser( ie, firefox, chrome) the download will start for 1sec and then stop as if its done. the default download location is desktop and no incomplete files or anything is made.he can browse sites, watch Internet, or anything else fine. speedtest and pingtest results are normal. i can upload files directly to him through skype and he can download that without issue.things i have had him try
.clean boot (no anti virus or anything else running) .safe mode .reset ie to default .made a new windows admin account .changed broswer default download locations .no router to configure .system restore to before he got it back .ran chkdsk (no errors) .made sure windows updated .disabled windows firewall and defender .scanned pc with malwarebytes .cleared all browser cache and history .no content restrictions .no proxy .ran the cmd "sfc /scannow" (results were fine)
I've just downloaded Microsoft Windows 7 Build 7057 Ultimate x86 with a size of 2.52 GBs. Since I use a fairly slow internet connection it took me AGES to complete.
Now that I want to burn it on a DVD so I can use it as a bootable disc, I see that there is no single image file like ISO, CCD, IMG, etc. for burning. Unfortunately I face a bunch of files and folders.
I'd like to know how I am able to make a bootable DVD outta these files so I can easily clean install a new Windows 7.
Somebody told me I have to download ANOTHER TWO GIGABYTES as a 3rd party program in order to do that! Since my internet connection is badly slow I didn't even listen to what he said!!!
Is there a way I can get rid of this problem? I am unbelievably eager to experience the ALL-NEW Windows 7.
In the list of downloaded & installed updates are Internet9 pt PT Language Pack, TW, CN, FR,& ES Language packs. As I am only using English on my laptop would it be okay to un-installed these Language Packs.
It seems that my computer cant run any exe files I download from the internet. They all download just fine, but when I open them I get a corrupt message reading
"Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy."

In some cases I just get a message saying file is corrupt. I've tried turning my antivirus and my firewall off and that hasn't worked either, I've also ran updates and everything. The program steam also cant seem to download anything without pausing every second.
My hard drive (MS Vista) had to be replaced so I had "Windows 7" installed now I can't print anything from the internet. Each time I try I get this message."An error has occurred in the script on this page". [code]
I recently sent my laptop to HP for a fan repair and before I sent it off I accidentally deleted my Downloads folder and then cleared out my recycling bin.Well, I got my laptop back today and went to download a few files. After doing so, I realized that I can't find those downloaded files. I have no idea where those files went. They were .rar and ZIP files and I can't seem to locate them. Does anybody know how I can find those downloaded files (where they might have ended up with the Downloads folder gone) and how I can restore my Downloads folder
having a total nightmare with my laptop, Ive had it for about a year and for some reason whenever I tried to download files/applications it would come up "curupt file", after a very long time trying to look for answers, i decided to save all my files and I used system restore and wiped everything off my laptop and restored the laptop to "factory settings".After doing this I tried to download firefox and then "invalid digital signature" poped up underneath the download, so i ran the file anyway and "curupt file" appeared.I tried downloading google chrome and the same thing happend, its happens to everything now that i try and download seems what I can do, also I was toled to try and download mulwarebytes, but everytime i try and download it the same things happens.
I'm unable to print in either Outlook 2003 or Internet Explorer with Windows 7. I've tried 3 different printers. Same problem. All other programs seem to print fine.
I got a new computer last month. When people send me Adobe PDF Files I can't print them with 64 bit Windows 7 Premium that is on my new computer.I have Adobe Reader 9.3.4 . Is there an add on I need so I am able to print? It must have already been on my old puter with XP.
I have a toshiba laptop and it is running windows 7 with internet explorer 8 and I am not able to print from the internet, I get a error that says script error. I am able to print from all other programs and have called my printer company they say there is no problem on the printer side and all drivers are updated for the printer.
I have upgraded to Internet explorer 9 a long time ago. When it first came out as a matter of fact but now when I use ANYTHING that I want to print out (Like MapQuest.com)It will not print any more. I can fire up Fire fox and all printing works just fine. It didn't work even when I had didn't Fire Fox Installed. I just installed Fire Fox to try to see if it would work for my printing needs.why Internet explorer has stoped printing? Right after not printing the web page crashes also.

I'm on a brand new HP computer running Windows 7 and everytime I download a file from the internet or even save files from local programs to my desktop, they are saved as some sort of hidden file...or at least they behave similar to hidden files. The difference is if I open up an Explorer window and browse to my desktop, I can see them there that way, but there is no icon on my desktop for the file. I CAN see the the saved file on my desktop if I turn "view hidden files" on...but when I look at the properties of said files, they are not actually marked "hidden." I can even copy/paste that same file in my desktop and I will see the copied file show up visually on the desktop, but still not the original file unless I browse to the desktop in an Explorer window. When right clicking the desktop, "Show desktop icons" is turned on and I can view all of my other desktop file icons, shortcuts, etc.
