Using a tuner card in my computer. When I mute the sound in Media Center Live TV, it mutes all the Windows sound. Would like to be able to mute the Live TV & run closed captioning while keeping all the other Windows sounds. Can't seem to find any options to set.
i enjoy playing games on nintendo8. but i hate the fact that turning off the sound isn't an option. these games run on java. i was wondering, is there anyway i could mute the sound of java, or just the web page, or even the browser, without turning off all my system sound? because i want to listen to Internet videos, and media player videos, while playing these games.
I'm having trouble with controlling the volume in windows 7. If I'm playing music through either Windows media player or itunes and drag the taskbar volume slider down to 0% I can still hear sound. I've only noticed this problem last night so I thought a system restore to yesterday afternoon would fix it but I've still got the problem. There is a possibility that this problem there since the installation of windows and that I only noticed it last night though.
Some random details: I've noticed that if I open the mixer, all of the levels claim to be on the same volume. Itunes, applications and system volume sliders are all at zero but sound is still playing. If I just click on the itunes slider, the sound disappears completely and 0% volume actually means just that. The problem then is that the slider is then independent to the master volume slider and I have to adjust the volume for itunes every time.
System specs: Dell Optiplex GX620 (Tower) P4 3.2GHz Windows 7 Professional 32-bit SoundMAX integrated audio
My system doesn't even have official Vista drivers from Dell so if the problem was there since before last night then it's probably due to the drivers. If that is the case, is there anything that I could do (other than a system upgrade)?
my sound blaster live the model is SB0100 on my windows 7. i want to make it work but no matter drivers for win 7. the windows isnt digitally signing my soundcard.
Somehow the sound got turned off in Windows Live Movie Maker. The computer has sound in other applications, but in Live Movie Maker there is no sound, even though the volume is turned full up, when I click the "Video Volume" it shows a red circle with a red line thru it indicating the sound is turned off. It worked in the past, I used it to make movies. How do I turn the sound back on"
I have an old Sound Blaster Live!card for XP..Will it work in Windows 7 as the newer Sound Blaster x-Fi Xtreme Audio card that came on my new computer does not have a stereo mix that enables you to play music into a chat room like Paltalk. New system is 64 Bit.
I am having trouble finding a working driver for Windows 7 - 64 Bit for a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Audo Card Model# SB0100 I downloaded driver file SBL_PC64DRVBETA_LB_2_03_0005.exe which I think is a 64 Bit Sound Blaster Live! update, but Windows 7 does not allow it to be installed because it is not a digitally signed driver. It also seems Creative is no longer supporting these old cards with new driver updates.
I love the card though. I have bought more recent sound cards and the sound of this card is still much better than the more recent sound cards I have bought. So I would like to keep using it if possible.
ive got windows 7 OS and bought this sound card.problem is when installing the software it says "Please plug in C-Media PCI Audio Device device! i got on option to click on retry and cancel.cant understand what problem is,maybe i need to set bios?
I have suddenly found that media centre when opening live tv i have the sound but no vision. It displays the progress bar OK and you can can even display the active thumbnail when you left click progress tracker, but just black full screen,i have all latest drivers for sound and graphics.I have reloaded direct x and codec drivers ,tried retuning ,tried resetting monitor, all to no avail. My system OS is w7 x64 ,CPU 6600 O/C 2.4 GHz, GPU NV GTX460.4MB Ram.
i have a friend running 7 with a sound blaster live 5.1 SB022, Its running with some XP driver but not without its problems, it seems that his sound output starts to crackle then fade, So im thinking that he needs a better driver,
now i was trying to explain about using windows built in chip set drivers but nether of us are sure what drivers to use or even sure of the actual Chipset used so im asking for your help before he loses hope in 7, We know its a very old card< about 10 years old or so but we are hoping that someone has a welcoming solution with a nice driver..
I know that Creative has stopped supporting the SB Live! 5.1 way back in the day, but I was hoping anyone would know of a way to force it to function in some way. I've heard a lot about this Daniel_K guy, who's been making drivers for old Creative cards, but I can't really find anything for my Live! card that is native to Windows 7.
Alternatively, I've installed the official WinXP drivers on Windows 7, and they work to an extent. I'm getting very odd distortion (echoes) when I play any audio. I'm grateful the audio works decently, but the echoing is really grating. Can anyone help me find a new driver for this card, or at the very least walk me through setting up the XP driver?
My problem is that i don't get any bass out of my subwoofer, my system (as i configurate) recognizes my subwoofer, but as soon as i listen to music there's no sound coming out of it!
My other speakers work, but only the bass is missing!
I wanted to install the console launcher from CD, but in Setup windows said "couldn't find any compatible hardware. Setup will be closed"
But i do not find any latest console launcher in Creative technical support, that's compatible with my Live 24 bit soundcard.
I started this thread, because i couldn't contact any other user who's problem was solved .
My soundcard (Creative SB Live! Value CT4670) is not compatible with Windows 7. i cannot find the drivers in anywhere. For the specifications of my computer, click on "My System Specs" .
I'm experiencing a strange sound in windows navigation start sound if i play that file in a media player it works fine but sometimes this odd sound appears in windows navigation start sound.I've ran malwarebytes (no issues), sfc scannow (no issues).I'm running on board sound card.
