I am not really good with computers, I know something is wrong but not really sure how to fix it, I use Windows 7 Ultimate with a dedicated graphics card 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 7970M and a intergrated graphics card Intel HD Graphics 4000 installed in my laptop, I used to be able to play Total War Shogun 2 (and other games) with my AMD Radeon Graphics Card, but for some reason my laptop decides to run on my Intel HD Graphics 4000 instead now. With my little knowledge that I have, when I go to device manager -> display adaptors, I can see both AMD Radeon 7970M and Intel HD Graphics 4000 there and my laptop shows that both graphics card are functioning properly (and up to date). But when I go to DxDiag, it only shows the Intel HD Graphics 4000, and when I disable my Intel HD Graphics 4000, my laptop cannot detect any graphics card.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.

ASUS P8Z68-V Pro/GEN 3
Intel 2600K
XFX R7950 Black Edition

Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HD
Corsair H100
Windows 7 64 bit (full)
I have a toshiba portege m800, and i have found that running games that required 3d graphics acceleration do not run on windows 7 supplied drivers, i have an intel integrated graphics accelerator on board, windows vista drivers seem to ammend this problem but I constantly get drop outs, saying the display driver had an unexpected error and recovered successfully, anyone else having similar problems? when will toshiba be releasing official windows 7 drivers for this model?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell n5110 i5(intel HD 3000 graphics),that I bought last year to assist me with my studies. I didn't care much about the graphics when I purchased it.I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I read that I should have bought a laptop with a better card graphics if I was to play the latest games.Of all the games I would have liked to play GTA 4. I know its not possible with what I have. I intend to have it with me for a longtime even if I don't get to play the latest games(I can play older ones like Hitman blood money).I'm curious, since I haven't found the answer elsewhere, whether it is possible to have a gaming card graphics added one day for the model of laptop I have.

View 9 Replies View Relatedhave been having a problem since the time i switched over to win 7 64 bit from XP 32 bit..Got the win 7 7264 (64 bit) setup on my comp. tried installing the latest driver downloaded from Nvidia , 190.38 for my GTX 260 (Palit), but for some reason the installation doesnt proceed. have been facing the same problem with Vista and XP (both 64 bit) now..
the installation progress bar reaches around 30% and d monitor restarts and then the bar is still at d same position it earlier was and doesn move. have tried a few other drivers like 182.50 but for some reason none of these drivers gets installed..
the only breakthrough i had was when i installed it in win XP 64 bit when it started popping up the driver signature error..i believe the same issue is happening in Win 7 and Vista too but not sure.
So I've been trying to install a new graphics card update called "Nvidia update components 1.8.15" which I'm not sure if i really need it but I've been having a lot of problems with games like Call Of Duty: Black Ops lagging and I'm thinking I need this update but when I go to update my card it says it Failed here's a picture and my specs...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am looking for working drivers for "All-In-Wonder® 9600 256MB Graphics Card" This is also known as a," All-In-Wonder® 2006 Edition"
It is the AGP type of card.
I am running Windows Ultimate 7 64bit.
I googled it but there seems to be nothing out there that will work 100% for a 64bit version of Windows 7.
I really just want the graphics portion of it to function fully. The tuner would be a bonus. I just emailed Ati/AMD and they responded with this email:
The All in Wonder 2006 is a legacy chipset. There are currently no announced plans for drivers for any of the legacy products to be developed in any operating system including Windows 7.
The legacy All in Wonder cards are supported up to XP SP2. They have no support in any operating system higher than this from AMD Customer Care. In Vista drivers where released for the card and input features. This is not the case for Windows 7, there will be no drivers for the video card or input features of the card in Windows 7.
Currently the Theatre 750 TV tuners are the only tuners with drivers from AMD for Windows 7, Theatre 650/600 tuners should have drivers released in the first quarter of 2010.
PCI Express based Radeon HD2400 series and higher Radeon based cards have drivers and support in Windows 7 from AMD.
