I've decided to install a copy of windows 7 (one of the newest ones) although I'm not sure if my tv tuner is compatible. When they used to release BETA's I installed build 7000 which was a while back, but the tv tuner never worked, it would never recognize the drivers.
Although seeing as build 7600 is available I thought I might give it go, but just wanted to check up with the experts if the card will be compatible or if there is a way to make it compatible.
I'm trying to upgrade from XP to Windows 7. My PC is a Sony Vaio PCV-RZ504 with a TV tuner: Gigapocket.
I used the newest software available from Sony, but XP version is available only. Version of software is 5.5
Installing the software is no problem, but starting it gives unexpected errors. Has anybody succeeded in using gigapocket with Windows 7?
Update: last night I managed to install Sony Mpeg decoder software (part of the Gigapocket 5.5 installation kit). No strange low level errors occur any longer. But starting gigapocket generates the message "Unable to locate Sony TV Tuner". Starting the TV Setup tells me that another application is using overlay. Is windows 7 using overlay in any of its components?
when i got my laptop i was able to go to media player see a guide and watch tv and movies free...i don't know why i can't anymore...recently did a restore to factory but television watching still did not comeback...i have windows 7
Uninstalled and reinstalled my Radeon graphics card driver and during this I downloaded the DriverTuner "free" programme. It detected (surprise, surprise) over 30 out of date drivers.Has anyone used this - is it worth registering for?terestingly I ran it after I reinstalled my graphics driver and it's recognised it but says there are problems still. This is interesting as I've been having the occasional crash with it (hence the uninstall/reinstall of it)
I have a Toshiba laptop (Satellite L500-1DT) and am trying to connect it to my LG Television through an HDMI cable. It asks me for a driver but am not sure which driver to download.
I have an enter e210 tv tuner card with philips saa7130 chip.I have the drivers and wintvr 3 for xp.I want to know where i can find drivers for windows 7?
I installed this on the weekend on Windows 7. "Works" fine...but it only finds the SBS channels....no Channels 2, 7, 9, 10.
THe SBS channels (incl the HD) work fine, no 'buffering', no freezing, and I was able to record a show (Rockwiz) on Sat night, but no other channels sort of bugs me....
Rescan using Windows Media Centre didnt fix issue. Also, now that I have used WMC, the actual Pinnacle rescan doesn't work at all. I get "Error" next to the USB device inside the Pinnacle Rescan window.
i have a problem with tv tuner , the screen has keep black, but the sound its ok , how i solve this problem , i think may be a codec problem but i dont find that.

If I was to buy a laptop with a screen and video card capable of playing 3D films etc, would a TV tuner allow me to watch the football of Sky on my laptop or are TV tuners not capable of that?
I have an "old" Winfast pvr2000 tv tuner card, My country switched to digital signal a couple of years ago so I can't watch tv anymore since this is an analog card. I was wondering is there a way for me to find some kind of other use for it or maybe some crazy way to connect a digital reciever to it cause they all have scart connectors and my card has nothing but the antenna in and out.
Anyone know what USB TV Tuner Card is Compatible with DISH NETWORK's COXIAL ,Channel 60. I am looking for perhaps a very cheap one Maybe an ebay one.Can One confirm?
Now that Windows 7 RC Came out, the Theater 550 Card doesn't work. I tried the Hauppauge card and it also has issues with Windows 7 (Freezes all the time). What card is recomended by Microsoft.
It seems as much time and money I throw at the RC, Media Center doesnt work in Windows 7. Worked awesome in Vista (I'm going back to vista... ewww) It's supposed to enable awesome television for the home, you would think there would be some decent cards out there that anyone could buy at Best Buy or Fry's.
