I want to try to stream my Music on PC to my Samsung Galaxy Gio which uses Android Marketplace over my wifi home connection.
Kind of like how you use for Windows Media Center/Music with Xbox 360. i tried some programs and all requires sign up and hosting a server or something and i just want to stream it.
When I try to sync music from windows media player to my phone, I get an error message on some songs that says File header too large. What I can do to correct this so the songs will play. I download mp3s from napster & my phone is a Blackjack2.
When listening to music on my PC, it does not matter if I use Winamp, Songbird, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or any other software. Every so often, there appears some sort of distortion, like the drive that the music is on slows down. I dont know if it is the driver or what. Its hard to explain. You have to hear it. I dont think its the mp3 file itself, cause I could play a song and it will be perfect, but then the next time I play it, it will distort. It is really driving my nuts cause I can't find the reason for it.
My goal is to forge a setup where I am able to conveniently stream media from my home media PC to my Android smartphone (Galaxy 3S). I am currently able to stream video to my phone while I'm at home on my Wi-Fi connection using the "Nearby Devices" option in the phone that appears to engage DLNA. When I do this, I get the option to stream from Windows Media Player's streaming system. My question then is how do I access my home PC information while mobile-browsing? I've got 4G service (big deal....) and would like the ability to access my home content while on the go. From my limited understanding of this goal, I see the option of using a VPN or something of that nature to create a secure connection through the computer's firewall so I can access the media server; is this going to work? Would this essentially be considered a "remote desktop" scenario? Asked another way: is a remote desktop connection a VPN?I'm looking for some suggestions on how to pull this off. If you have suggestions, like "use this VPN and open these ports and blah blah blah", I'd need some how-to because I've never tried to do this. I know a person can buy some programs that say they will take care of doing this, but how hard can it be? It's just a client-server relationship between the phone and the PC, right? Open a port, run a secure connection, log-in, etc?
I am using my computer speakers for everything, my Ps3/TV/Computer are all going through my computer speakers, which is awesome it's what I want, but, I want to be able to control the volume! The speakers don't come with a remote, so I have to get up and turn the nob on my keyboard to turn down the tv now since the TV remote obviously don't work seeing as though the sound isn't coming through the TV any longer. I've been looking for a volume controller on the android market and havn't found one that suits what I'm looking for.
While setting up my new aspire one D257 here in Spain where i live, I initially set language as English which prevents me from confiuguring Android. Should I uninstall current android and download English version?

When I open My browser, the one I spent hours to get the way I wanted, (FireFox) it now shows an add for a Mozilla Android app.How do I get rid of it? I have tried tools/options/general to reset and it does me no good.
I did not know where to put this so moderatoers if you need to move it please do. I am trying to transver files from my pc to a Viewsonic G tablet but my FTP software wants to open it and it keeps getting errors about establishing a connection. The problem is I do not want the FTP to open it, I want it to open normally with windows explorer. I have just gotten it back (the tablet) after a warranty repair but before I sent it in I had been experimenting with Filezilla and it must have become the default program for opening the Viewsonic. How do I set it back to Windows Explorer being the default program?
When I plug my Samsung SIII (ice cream sandwich) into my Windows 7 pro USB port, it mounts as a portable device but does not have a drive letter associated with it. This makes it difficult (impossible) for me to reference it for running scripts or with various file copy utilities. I do not want to have to "import" pictures, as that process offers no control over the file selection in my 64gb sim card. How can I mount DCIM directory as a regular windows drive with a drive letter, so that I can perform normal file folder operations on it?
BTW. To add insult to injury, I only want a half dozen pictures out of the many GB in the DCIM folder. However, since I cannot see thumbnails, I cannot pick out the few which I would be happy to drag and drop, if I knew which ones they were.
I am using a DVB-T receiver Intel CE9500 without any problems under XP. With Windows 7 the DVB-stream is interrupted every 2 or 3 seconds for 1 second. I am using DVBviewer, that requires BDA drivers and under Windows 7 I am using the system default MPEG2 decoder.
The driver for Windows 7 was found by Windows Update "Intel CE9500 DVB-T (Enh) Receiver" v 2.1.0.136
I've got a TV Tuner in my PC, is it possible to stream it via Windows Media Center straight to my Xbox? If so, is it possible to record things straight to my Xbox?
I would like to stream my tv shows I record in Media Center to the tv in my livingroom. My PC is in my bedroom. The hdtv in the bedroom has a hdmi input, but the tv in the livingroom has a rca input. Is there a way that I can stream the tv shows into the livingroom? I have been on computer for two hours trying to find a solution. I cannot afford an XBox.
I recently set up 2 monitors but am having trouble getting audio to go on stream.Realtek surround sound -> fibre optic cable -> tv -> computer via HDMI, computer -> monitor 2 via chord with 2 screws. xsplit and dazzle using virtual audio cable but sound wont capture when i switch to my monitor to play the game. need to split audio signal?
I am using a third party music player, MusicBee, to play my music, however if I select a folder in windows explorer of an artist that has more than one album in sub folders under the artist name then the "PLAY ALL" button does nothing.
If I select a folder without sub folders inside the PLAY button works fine and open MusicBee to play the music.
I also have VLC installed and if I right click on any music folder I get the Play with VLC option, how can I add this same option for MusicBee.
I am a recent resident at an assisted living facility. Because I have some experience with PC's I was asked to maintain the facility resident computer, a PC with Windows 7.The computer is in the back of the media room, a 50 inch TV is in the front of the room. Also in the front is a modem and router. The computer is wireless and gets on the internet wirelessly through the router. The room is about 45 feet long.I would like to play video from the computer to the TV.
I want to stream content over a LAN. One computer will act as the "content host" and one or more computers will act as "content clients". Is there any software that can stream content from one computer to several computers.
My network contains DHCP addresses, and it is comprised of Windows 7 x64 Professional Computers.
Ideally the "content streaming" solution will be compatible with Multiple Operating Systems.
I'm abroad and have only my company laptop wich I have administrator privileges. It has Windows 7 installed and the HDD is encrypted with some software and I'm not sure if I have BIOS access to change boot options. So when I was watching a streming match of football the pc crashed and I forced the shutdown. When I restarted it a BSOD shown up with the message Unmountable Boot Volume. As I'm used to deal with some of this problems but it is my first time on Windows 7 the first thing I tried was normal start up. When windows starts to load, there's no logo on the "starting windows" window and then when the bar starts to load it stops in the next sec and BSOD is shown. Next step was to start on safe mode but the same problem was shown, first the windows "STARTING WINDOWS" with no logo, then a grey window saying "LOADING WINDOWS FILES" then the window where the bar starts to fill but it only takes a sec and the same BSOD appears. Next try was the repair option but the same problem as in safe mode. So as it was now, windows is not starting in any mode.Next step was to try to boot ubuntu from a usb pen I always carry on my trips, but since the HDD is encrypted the first thing to boot is the disk and the password for hdd access, so I cannot boot from the usb with the HDD connected. I then used the laptop with my usb to continue watching the game on the stream channel, but then I really need to have my PC fixed with Windows 7, since I'm not returning home the next days and need to have my home company laptop working because I need to be 24h available to connect me. What I'm thinking is download and burn a Windows 7 DVD from M$ servers and try to access the command prompt while booting. Then try the check disk command and see if it works. I'm also downloading Hiren's boot cd or partedmagic to try different things.Next problem will be to boot from CD but since I didn't tried yet I cannot tell you if I can or cannot, but with the HDD connected I think it will be difficult since the first screen to be shown is always the encryption hdd software asking for password.Since the hdd is encrypted I think I will not be able to backup my files which can be a problem too.Do you have any suggestions? How can my windows 7 not start in safe or repair mode?Remember I'm abroad and that laptop is the only thing I have to work with at home, so no desktop to connect the HDD, no backup HDD to save files and no recordable DVDs (that I guess I'll need to buy to boot from Windows 7 CD). The only thing I have is a 4GB usb pen with ubuntu and a 16GB pen with work documents that can save some files
I have just purchased a pair of bluetooth speakers (sandstrom) and a belkin Bluetooth dongle.I've paired the speakers to my pc, but I can't get the audio to stream through the Bluetooth speakers and the speakers currently attached to my pc via a hdmi cable to a surround system?
I've been faced with blue screens when playing on steam games, I know it's not an issue with overheating, as I've been checking the hardware monitor temps in the bios straight after system failure. As far as I know, my hardware drivers are up to scratch and my rig more than meets the requirements to play these games, i.e. left 4 dead 2. Saying that this rig is very new, it's a bit of a heart break to have it fail on me.
I have a 52 inch SHARP AQUOS tv. It's wifi / internet ready and comes with all the bells and whistles of apps and what not. I want to stream my movies to it from my laptop (yes i've looked around the forums already for answers but i want 2013 answers not 2006 answers) and I am looking for something that has the option of 5.1 surround hookups. I want the quality of video AND sound. I can provide details of what im using if needed.
