I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB1Z0E/B and yesterday I was browsing the internet the all of a sudden it turns off and doesn't turn back on. When I press the power button it does nothing and also the indicator lights are off as well. I have a sony Vaio laptop and last night, i was streaming a football match when it suddenly froze. I turned it off for a couple of minutes and then turned it back on. I t certainly receives power as it shows the VAIO screen but after that it just displays "OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND". I have tried it several times since then but this is the message i still get.

So far as I can tell, the BIOS says that the 1st boot device is Internal Optical Drive, 2nd Internal Hard Disk Drive. No drives are "Excluded from Boot." I'm having problems getting the OS to boot on the HDD, so I've got my Win 7 Installation Disc in the DVD drive to try to do a re-image. But it won't boot from the CD!
What else could I do/check on this in order to get it to boot from the CD?
I went and booted the computer from the last known good configuration and the system worked. At night she shut it down. In the morning when she started it up, it wouldn't boot. I went and selected the last known good configuration again and rebooted.
