Sony VAIO VGN-NR330E, Model PCG-7113L
So far as I can tell, the BIOS says that the 1st boot device is Internal Optical Drive, 2nd Internal Hard Disk Drive. No drives are "Excluded from Boot." I'm having problems getting the OS to boot on the HDD, so I've got my Win 7 Installation Disc in the DVD drive to try to do a re-image. But it won't boot from the CD!
What else could I do/check on this in order to get it to boot from the CD?
I went and booted the computer from the last known good configuration and the system worked. At night she shut it down. In the morning when she started it up, it wouldn't boot. I went and selected the last known good configuration again and rebooted.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi got a sont laptop model number VGN-NS20E but wouldn't boot up. It come with no windows DVD but did have the product code on the back on the laptop and was running Vista Pro. So i bought an upgrade disc of window 7 (genuine copy) The problem is that when it booted up there was 2 partitions one saying OEM approx 10Gb and the 2nd saying Partition two showing 232Gb. i tried to go over the OEM windows and it wouldn't allow me as it said that the folder was corrupt. This is now where i realy made a big boo boo i removed all the partitions and had just one big hard drive. Now when i try to install Win 7 i click install now it put in the first part of installing windows where a 'tick' shows up beside it then when it goes to the next part (expanding Windows Files ) it just sits at 0% have left it for about 2hours and nothing. so i turned it off and started again but it just does the same thing.

1) Power Supply - no issues
