Inspiron 17R 5720 preloaded with Windows 8 but my bosses mother would not be able to navigate through the tiles. I therefore installed all of the available drivers from dell.com and device driver cd.Last piece is to find the SM BUS CONTROLLER driver. Can someone point me in the right direction? Already tried intel.com and dell support (only supports laptop with preinstalled windows8 so I'm out of luck there).I know it Applies to: ChipsetIntel Management Engine Interface | Intel Management Engine

I have a Dell N5110 with a failed hard drive. I bought a new hard drive, reinstalled Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I then downloaded all the drivers from dell. I followed the Dell recommended install order. After all the drivers are loaded, I go to Device manager and it says I am missing a network controller driver and I am unable to access wireless. I press function + F2 and I can turn on the wireless, but I am unable to add a wireless network. I have tried numerous network drivers from the dell site - doing a win reinstall before trying a different driver, but none are working. I have reformatted the machine again (for the 5th time) and I have no drivers currently installed. Where do I go from here?
i already installed all drivers in my new laptop Dell iNSPIRON n5110 with ORIGINAL WIN7 64 BITS but the the device manager it shows that the network controller hasn't been install and there is no driver while i update it.
I have an Acer Aspire 5720. It is not listed on Acer's website as compatible with Win 7, however many other models with the same specs are. I have been able to find drivers for most of the hardware. The only ones I cannot locate are a Windows 7 x64 driver for both the Alps Touchpad and the Bison Crystal Eye webcam. I am an adventurous one, and have a solid backup, so I am going to try it anyway. I was just looking for any assistance in locating those two drivers.
I recentlry installed windows 7 professional 32 bit on a travelmate5720 acer and when i 'm trying for example to install adobe flash player BSOD appears and you know the rest.My question is should I keep windows 7 and try to find the correct drivers, if there are any, or should I reinstall windows xp which were working fluently. Here is my zip file after bsod error finder and the report file but it's in greek

I went to the dell site and checked if I could load windows 7 on the Inspiron 1505 and could not find that I could. Can I load windows 7 on the Inspiron 1505?
I've had my laptop Dell INSPIRON N5030 for about a year.It was working fine up till now but when I boot it up it gives me a windows recovery error. It says: windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software might be the cause. When I choose the launch start repair, it just gives me the windows screen with the mouse and nothing happens. Then if i choose load windows normally, it will just go to the loading screen then it'll stay there for a while then go back to the windows recovery error.I've also tryed to reboot the hard drive by pressing F12, but it won't let me it just puts me back on to the windows recovery error screen.
