View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an emachine that my uncle, used for a while and reset the admin password. He recently passed away so now I do not know how to get into the system. He had an administrator account. But I don't know the password. I've tried all I can think of, but doesn't work... Also i've tried to login in safe mode.. but the accounts screen comes up and there is only one account (My uncle's.. which is also the main admin account)... and there's a link under that says "reset password". Is there any free solution that I can use or do I have to go show to a technician or re-install?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a reset disk. I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I lost my administrator password, only one administrator account. I cannot find any button anywhere on the Welcome screen that I can click to 'reset password'. I cannot do it from the (limited) other user on the computer. I downloaded an Appliction called resetwindowspassword-set from 'download.cnet.com' and I cannot open the download because I do not have the administrator password.

I restored from Carbonite online back up service to my current Win7 Laptop. In the restoration process, it created a user from the previous machine's setup. I now have 2 user's which I would like to replace with "NO USERS" (since I am the sole user). (I use individual file passwords to protect my personal or confidential files.) I can live with one User which would have control over the entire computer rather than an Administrator with other users with different levels of access.
I am concerned with possibly losing access to the files under the new user if I delete the current users.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe operating system is 64 bit OEM. The computer is about nine months old (I got it at the end of June). I have not re-installed the operating system nor made any significant changes. Attached is the output from the "BSOD dump and system file collection" executable. I added the system health report to the same folder as the rest of the stuff, under the name "performanceanalysis.html". Let me know if you need any information that is absent from those files.
The BSOD usually occurs when the computer hibernates, restarts, or turns off. The computer will take an exceptionally long amount of time on the "turning off" screen, then the fan will start running loudly and the BSOD appears.
I want to know whether Windows 7 Home Basic Edition will support Ms Office 2007 Enterprise Edition ? Can we able install ? Will it Support ?

Set Up Your Home Network, Windows 7 Edition. Here’s how you can get your Windows 7 PC to share printers and files with XP and Vista PCs--and even a Mac.
With Windows 7, you can more easily share files and printers across a network via the new HomeGroups feature. HomeGroups lets you connect to files and printers with a group password--if all the PCs have Windows 7. But I'll show you how to get your Windows 7 PC to play nicely on a network that also has Macs and XP/Vista PCs.
