View 1 Replies View RelatedThe university I attend doesn't allow modems and routers, but me and my roommates desperately need wifi for our devices, otherwise they are being wasted sitting around. today I set up an ad hoc connection on my roommates laptop, but he brings his laptop places and when he's out, we have no wifi. I have my desktop computer, and I can leave it on all the time and I never leave with it, so I'd love to set up wifi on it, since it will be so much more convenient.I brought my router from home, and ive gotten it to send out my computer's internet connection, but it brings me to the school's registration page, which I can not use, since routers are not allowed. Is there a way to use my desktop's ethernet connection and send out that internet connection through my router (it also needs to bypass the school network, somehow fooling it that my router is my computer (im guessing))?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 7 32bit laptop and I do not have MS Office installed. I have been using Hotmail until a couple weeks ago when I was "converted" to outlook.com email - which I like OK. When I'm using a browser - IE9 in this case - and when I click on "send link as" or "send page as", it launches Windows Live Mail and puts me in a WLM output email. I would instead like it to launch me into outlook.com and an outlook.com output email. How can I do this - or can't it be done at all?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a new computer last week & it's pre-installed with Windows 7. When I first put in my Mini TV DVB-T USB stick, Windows 7 found drivers for it and WMC recognised it and gave me instant TV to watch. However, just this last 2 days it all went sour. I still have the channels listed but on each one I get sound and just a black screen. No idea what changed, perhaps a Windows update as you get heaps of these when running a new system. Anyway I have tried running the USB drivers again and re scanning my channels but the result is still the same. It's so annoying knowing it has worked but now it won"t. Here's my system stats.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI absolute dont like the way Win 7 behaves, when connecting a camera.
In XP, I could choose which pictures to import, and give them names, and XP would number them for me, for instance import into C:Pictures2009, and the pictures would be named 2009 001.jpg and so on.
Now I dont understand how to do it, and if I have imported some pictures, I'm not allowed to do it again. WHAT???
Why should Windows 7 decide if I can import my pictures again, what if I delete a picture by mistake?
Is there a way to make it work like in "the good old days"?
