View 3 RepliesWindows 7 x64 OEM HP p6754y, bought it at Best Buy early 2011 AMD Athlon II X4 640 Processor, 3.00 GHZ Anyway, every time I shut my computer down, I get a quick flash (maybe 3 seconds) of BSOD; not quick enough to read any of it. It never really bothered me because it didn't affect anything I did, it only happened on shutdown. Lately, it's been happening to a full screened, pc-heavy game I've been playing. I opened up my case and dusted it out incase it was the video card overheating or something, but it wasn't that bad.

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently, my computer has been behaving quite oddly. It hasn't been booting up, but hasnt given any error messages. When I try to boot, it will open up to a black screen where the Starting Windows stuff is supposed to appear, but nothing will happen. I'll restart it a bunch of times, and eventually I'll get one where the words Starting Windows are there, but still nothing happens. If it offers me the option to load the repair program, it will open the screen that says windows is loading the files with the loading bar at the bottom, but nothing will load. It takes anywhere from 10 to 30 restarts before i'll seemingly just get lucky and it will turn on.Also, I've been freezing lately while playing BF3. My video card drivers are up to date, along with the other main drivers. Sometimes, I'll get a BSOD if I wait long enough, but it doesnt ususally happen. Also, when starting, sometimes when it says on the boot screen "Verifying DMI pool data", nothing will happen, and then it will suddenly say: Disk read error, press cntrl + alt + delete to restart. This leads me to believe that it's a disk error, which explains a lot of the symptoms i've been having lately, but I just dont know where to start the diagnosis.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe autostart function is not working properly. When introduced a CD Rom into the drive, it has all the autostart functions for movies, pics, documents, but instead of starting the games directly, It allways ask me to open the file, movies or pics, but the game never starts automatically as It used to do in the past Windows versions, and in Windows 7 BEFORE SP1. It's imposible to play games that require the insertion of the disc into the CD Rom Drive, for the same reason.Im running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and have a LG Super Multi RwDVD +R DL Light scribe multirecorder.
View 1 Replies View Relatedok so i have a problem thats been driving me insane. my toshiba F50 was working totally fine until suddenly during games my GPU started overheating quickly during games (Was not doing this before) i noticed that my fan didnt seem to be spinning as fast as before. i cleaned it still no avail, tried riva tuner and ntune and all of that jazz and all of them have the fan control options greyed out? (cannot use them)i noticed that when i start the laptop the POST test on the fans guns the fan to 100% speed so i know its capable of doing it. it seems like the fan doesnt know to speed up when it gets hot and it keeps shutting my system down and i reallllly dont feel like damaging my GPU. i tried rolling back my drivers and running the latest drivers.

I ran out of space on the c drive practically the day I bought it (SSD), so now I install games to my D drive. I tried dragging the .exe start file over to the games window and it did copy the icon over but I get a message that the game has stopped working when I click it, followed by automatic error reporting to Microsoft after.

The first thing i want to do is to buy a new single RAM memory of 2 GB at 800MHz, because personally I think that the RAM is the weak link of the system. The first question is: What is the best combination? To have 3GB of RAM at 667MHz or 2GB at 800MHz.Now with the currently configuration (1GB at 667MHz) the level of used RAM memory in idle is 75%.The other problem is that every time when the PC is shutting down, the green light turns off and the red one is blinking very fast, giving you the impression that it's always lit; and the red light intensity is very low; (it emits less light). The PC has 2 coolers (one for CPU and other to the power source ...and the VGA doesn't have a cooler) and when the PC is shutting down the phenomenon with the lights happens and one of the coolers will never stop (i don't know which of them).the red light is blinking very fast at low light intensity and a cooler is on.and those will never end up until you will press the shut down button for a few seconds. The system was configured (installed the OS and the other programs)... by a guy with knowledge and he said that this happens because of the newer OS installed. (Windows 7).This problem doesn't appear when restarting the PC.It appears only when the system is shutting down. The second question is: Can the small capacity of RAM (1GB) lead to this phenomenon?
I am having an issue with windows 7 64bit. Every time i am done using the pc, it will randomly shut down, at different times. I have no clue what the issue is. I do not have a heat problem , nor PSU problem. When I am on the computer, whether it is 20 mins or 4 hours, no problems, but when I am done using it, and nothing is being used, it will just shutdown.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a windows 7 laptop, and i'll be either working on a document or trying to upload an edited video to Internet when my computer inexplicably shuts down - taking with it all my hard work. i've run malwarebytes antimalware and it finds nothing. i also installed a norton security suite from comcast recently, so i don't know if that has something to do with it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a non-tech friend whose windows 7 machine has started shutting down as soon as he signs in. I have used combofix previously but he cannot get windows up long enough to run it in normal node. I had him boot into safe mode and checked out msconfig and the registry to see if anything was hung out there. I don't have any other options other than running combofix in safemode but I understand that is possibly problematic.

View 6 Replies View Relatedhere is a real head scratcher for you guys. My system will on occassion just shutdown. Its not a hard shutdown, it goes thru the normal Windows 7 shutdown process as if I had told it to shut down. I can boot it right back up, and all is well, nothing out of the ordinary. I checked out the event viewer and the only thing in there before this happened is an error with "Event ID: 36888" and it gives this as a description "The following fatal alert was generated: 70. The internal error state is 105". I have no clue what is going on. It has not done this while I was actually using it, it has always happened while I was away from it.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi just finished building my PC and got windows 7 installed on my 32gb ssd. I then installed all the drivers etc, for the mobo, gpu, wireless card. So everything seems to be working fine but when i click start and shut down, the shut down has the shield logo thing next to it for updates and when i click on shutdown it says theres 92 updates. So i waited for it to install them and when its done it configures them and windows comes back up. But then when i go to shutdown again it still says theres 92 updates to install and does it all again.
