No Sound And Wont Update My Drivers

Apr 11, 2009

My computrer wont install its new updates for these two drivers which appear in (device manager). It cannot find them online and i have gone straight to fijitsu siemens to get support downloads but they wont do anything either, because windows security wont reconise them and stops the install after 80%.

No Sound After Windows Update

Jul 28, 2012

Windows 7, Motherboard with integrated sound: ECS RC410-M (Alhena)Symptom: Windows, dxdiag, and every other diagnostic I have used thinks the sound is working. Media players run successfully, except that no sound comes out of my speakers. I have tried multiple speakers, so the problem is with the computer. It had been working fine, then I didn't use this computer for several months, since December of 2011. A few days ago, I set everything up in a new place, sound was still working. Then Windows Update does its magic, and I have no sound.
I have tried re-installing drivers (realtek hd for 32 bit, and then several other realtek drivers to be on the safe side).I have looked for several days through other forums, but none that I have seen have exactly my problem.

Sound Card Drivers Show As Working But Still No Sound?

Mar 18, 2011

as stated in the subject, I am unable to hear any sound from my speakers since upgrading to the windows 7 64 bit. I followed the other post that I found on this but I still cannot hear any sound.I have a dell inspiron 531. The hardware ids from the device manager areHDAUDIOFUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_1028020E&REV_1000
HDAUDIOFUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_1028020EI have installed the realtek drivers and they as working but I still get nothing but a slight hiss from my speakers. I have tried them on my laptop and they work fine.Does anybody know what might be causing this? I am half tempted to get a new sound card but I am reluctant as it says my existing one is working (it just seems to have forgotten to tell the speakers!)
If anybody knows a fix for this I really would be eternally grateful

Sound Driver Update Problem

May 30, 2011

I have a Gateway NV59C laptop and the stock audio driver has amazing sound quality (after I adjusted the enhancements and such). However, I don't have a Line In option. I only have my built in microphone (I have checked the Show Disabled and Disconnected devices box). However, when I update the driver, I have the Line In option, but the sound quality is lessened because I don't have the option for a bass boost which is the main reason my output sound sounds so great through my headphones. Is there any way that I can have the stock enhancements (such as bass boost and loudness equalization) as well as having the Line In feature?

Default Sound Card Plays Only One Speaker, Driver Update?

Apr 23, 2012

See my computer specs below. I feel that I might need to update a sound driver because I recently got new speakers and they only play sound from the right speaker, like my old previous ones. My old ones might still have both speakers working. And I tested the new speakers with my phone and both speakers would work, so the issue is with my computer.

No Sound After Installing Sound Drivers?

Dec 15, 2012

I installed a driver for my sound card, only to find out that sound just wouldn't play on my laptop. (It says that the sound is playing, it's just that it isn't coming through the speakers.) I know that the drivers are updated, so if you're going to ask if my driver is updated, the answer to that is yes. At first, I had thought that it was only a problem with the driver, or the hard drive, but that's not it... I don't know what the problem is. I've tried looking for solutions online, but absolutely nothing worked.I don't want to be stuck with the generic "High Definition Audio Device" which will just mute the speakers at the most random times.

182.06 Vs. Win Update Drivers

Feb 22, 2009

Well, I was messing around and thought I would test out the Vista beta 182.06 drivers vs. the drivers you get through Windows Update. All I did was run a demo in Team Fortress 2 in with both drivers. Also my gfx card is a 7800gt, so this might not apply to newer cards.

Of course take this with a grain of salt, especially for newer systems, but if you have an older pc, and are running with the 182.06 or maybe Vista drivers in general, try using the Windows Update drivers again. I know which one's I will be using from now on.

How To Update Drivers

Mar 27, 2011

I just finished building my PC. I read in many places in Internet about drivers updates and they all say I shouldn't update my driver from the CD provided from the manufacturer but from Internet and install them in a USB flash drive. So that's what I did, I installed my BIOS current driver and other MOBO drivers in my USB flash drive. However, I don't know now how to update my drivers without the CD's. I would like some help on how to update all my drivers (my PC is completly new) using a USB flash drive.

Force Windows 7 Update All Drivers?

Aug 25, 2011

I actually don't have a problem with drivers, but in how windows detects hardware and finds appropiate drivers. Because sometimes I have many computers at a time to fix, I wondered if there was a way in which windows 7 can be forced to update every installed driver in the system at once, this because when windows 7 is installed, it installs outdated (but working) drivers for some devices. Generally, I don't install drivers by double clicking them, but rather by extracting them (exe's) and then making windows find them, I do this because doing so, prevents most of the time, the installation of unwanted applications. Now, I know I can update each driver individually using the device manager, but this could take very long depending on the machine. I would like windows (on a clean installation), to uninstall ALL of the drivers, including chipset, video, audio, etc, and then look for them in a specific folder, say C:ew_drivers (where all new extracted drivers are).

BSOD Cannot Update Gfx Card Drivers

Jul 29, 2009

ok over the past month or so I have been trying to solve a problem with my Windows 7 installation (build 7232.0.1md64fre.winmain.0980610-1900)

after a fresh install I had to find the smu drivers for my biostar MB and windows installed it's own video driver 8.15.11.8585 dated april 09. the gfx card is a 9800GTX+ has the bios 62.92.56.0.6.

now since then I haven't been able to install any of nvidias driver updates and windows own driver update for my my gfx card, what happens is I install the driver then my system reeboots and as the driver loads after reeboot I simply get a blue screen error

I have tried various methods of unninstalling the drivers first and also using "drivercleaner.net" and also unninstalling my antivirus but none of these make any difference I still get the blue screen error "System_Service_Exception" stop 0x0000003B etc etc file mentioned is "nvlddmkm.sys"

now I can continue to use the OS by going into safe mode and removing the driver and letting windows install the default driver, but the tweaker in me is determined to get to the route cause of this problem

Is this something specific to this build or do I have a corrupted driver file somewhere or is there something simple I need to do with possibly the registry.
