i have a question and any help would be appreciated.i have windows 7. my mom used my comp and somehow she uninstalled the sound max sound driver is there a way to reinstall this without having to buy a new driver? update driver tells me i already have the latest update but the driver is missing and not working obviously.
Working on a client's computer that was blue screening with Vista 32 bit HP desktop gl309aa. She cannot find the original Vista install CD. I determined that the culprit was probably the wifi driver, and hoped to install updated drivers for that, plus video card and sound card drivers. After much fiddling with the system, I finally got it started through Startup Repair long enough to install the video driver. I had to go through 2 sets of memory diagnostics to start it at all, since even safe mode was not working. When I went to do the sound card driver, it required an uninstall first, so I did that, and foolishly went along with the restart to finish the process. Lacking a sound card driver, it blue screened all over again. Tried everything, including many times with HP Recovery, but every time it blue screens before any process can complete. On top of this, while working on it, she had a power "flash" for a second, and now the system is missing BOOTMGR so it won't even try to boot into safe mode or anything else. I have the drivers on flash but cannot install them. I've decided to forget Vista (awful system anyway) and give her Windows 7 instead. Much more stable, and her data is backed up in case she loses it.
am I going to have any problems installing the Windows 7 if the computer still thinks it has no driver for the sound card? And is there a way to install the file before or during the Windows 7 installation so it will go smoothly? Again, BSOD every time I start HP recovery so there is no way to use that, and we will have a new Windows 7 CD to begin this process.
Earlier yesterday I was having an issue where sound was both playing through my laptop's speakers as well as the headphones I had plugged in. Not really knowing an exact way to fix this I went to the device and disabled it hoping that could temporarily solve my problem. Now, I am assuming because of this whenever I boot into Windows 7 I get to the "please wait" screen then instantly get a blue screen every time and I can only boot into safe mode. I found this thread (one or more audio service isnt running) through Google and found that this user had the same issues I was having (I am also getting the audio service error when I run the troubleshooterI believer my speakers are Realtek and when I run dxdiag I get the hardware ID of DAUDIOFUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0272&SUBSYS_1025028D&REV_1000 (I ran this dxdiag in the copy of the Windows 8 dev preview I have also installed to my hard drive)I do have the results from Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 attached but when I ran perfmon /report I got: "An error occurred while attempting to generate the report. The system cannot find the path specified."My copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit came pre-installed on my machine which I got either 2 or 3 years ago, don't remember exactly
I just installed windows 7 pro the ultimite version and my ethernet and sound drivers are not working. Right now I have no internet at home. I have gotten the device id numbers maybe you guys can help me out as I have no idea how to ID the sound card and ethernet card. I have a onbord ethernet and a PCI ethernet If possible i would like both drivers.
I've had a weird error with Windows 7. It happened after I tried to remove the watermark and edit user32 (or something like that). I do have the battery icon, but it's missing the battery info. I believe it's a explorer related error, because each time this happens and I go to right click the desktop explorer.exe stops responding.
Does anybody have any information on this, or how I could repair my system to a state before? System restore is disabled on this machine.
Im trying to playback audio for sstv through my sound card and the "Stereo Mix" option is missing as an audio input (recording) method. I have some in-product sound card that came from Dell so I've been told it may not be possible. But I've found free software that does record in the same exact way that "Stereo Mix" would. Is there any universal sound drivers out there that would add "Stereo Mix" as an option?
I just got the "No Audio Device is installed" message for the second time, and my Sound, Video, and Game Controller section on my Device Manager pulled a Houdini on me. I can't remember what i did last time to fix it, but I've tried everything that people have suggested on multiple threads concerning this. It was literally working last night as i was listening to music, today when i turned it on it said i had no audio output installed. I have an HP Pavillion dv9500. I upgraded from Vista Home 32-bit to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, but never had a real problem until now. I tried to find the driver on the HP site, but the driver didn't work. I've even tried to restore my computer to a week ago when i got a system update, but it keeps failing. There is also an exclamation mark on the Coprocessor under Other Devices in the device manager.

have tried several times to solve my HP dv 6700 series, but all my effort prove abortive. Can you please help me out by sending me some information on how to rectify the problems. Whenever I start the computer, I dont hear any sound from window and if I try to play music from my media player, no sound at all. I can only listen to music or sound via headphone only. I have downloaded different driver on sound and still no sound.
My company recently gave me an Windows 8 phone (Nokia Lumia 920). It's a great phone but when I plug it into my Windows 7 "N Edition" laptop it cannot find drivers for it. My wife's Vista laptop, however, does.
I've heard that downloading the Zune software should instal them, but Zune won't install because it can't find Media Player. It would be great if I could just download the Windows Phone drivers from Microsoft, but for some reason that's just not possible.
"A required CD/DVD device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVDm or USB flash drive, please insert it now. Note. If the windows installation media is in the drive, you can safely remove it for this step."

I'm having an issue on my HP dm4-3090se Beats Edition laptop with Windows 7. It was working perfectly yesterday, but all of a sudden, it will not boot past the Windows Boot Manager. It gives an error:Quote :Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.2. Choose your language settings and then click "Next".3. Click "Repair your computer".If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FW21Z Laptop, i bought it with Windows Vista installed on it but i changed the windows to Windows 7 and now the dvd-rom doesn't work anymore. I have read on internet that the problem can be from the drivers. I can't find any driver for windows 7 for my dvd-rom.
Is it possible to use this printer on win 7? Or maybe drivers from any other printer work on this one? I have this printer, it's still working a3, and I'm puzzled cause on HP site it's no longer supported. Is it so much work for them to make such driver for another system? How to get it to work on win 7?
I wanted to uninstall zorin os- i am so stupid that i deleted the partitions in windows 7. when i restarted i was unable to boot anything- the error message came. no partitions grub rescue>. I thought i should reinstall Zorin OS to fix the problem- get the grub to load up- but then when i tried to install it there were no partitions to select from as i deleted them while i was in windows. and then i tried to create a partition during the installation process- it was taking so long and i was sick enough to shutdown my computer during that process. after i turned on my computer, trying to install it again but then in the installing process windows 7 was not showing up. i quited the process- shut down my computer. After, i used my windows 7 recovery disk and repaired the windows for issues. when it finished. i restarted my computer. i again faced the error : no partitions and grub rescue>. then i researched for some codes, typed them in but that didnt work either. Then i decided to install zorin os again, this time i done partitions in the installing process. there it selected about 87.91 gb for zorin os and the rest for windows 7. my total memory was 250 now for windows 7 144.76 was left. However, i still had 92.95 gb free where as the used is only 51.80. now after zorin os installed, i restarted the computer. However, now when i try to load windows 7 from the grub menu- (as in when i select the windows 7 option to boot up) i am forwarded with the message- 0xc0000225 driver is missing or corrupted. I can't even boot up in safe modes because they require this driver as well.
Then, when i boot in the recovery disk, it looks for error but cannot fix them. other than this, i tried to rebuild he BCD in the command-as for the first time i didn't really carry out the whole procedure-the second time when i try to rename the BCD it said duplicate file or something similar and and at the end, it still shows 0 installations. However, i am still able to access the hard drive of windows 7 in zorin os.
Yesterday I bought a new ASUS A55A laptop and was installing basic programs (Chrome, iTunes, Photoshop). I installed EASEUS partition manager and tried to resize the partitions. I tried because there was an error and now Windows will not boot.So.I read up on the subject: tried to active the ASUS recovery using F9, doesn't work. I opted to try and reinstall Windows using both an installation DVD and USB. Easy enough, just that I get prompted to look for the CD/DVD unit's driver.I've read various threads about it, but none of the things I've tried (different USB ports, downloading all sorts of drivers from the official ASUS page) seem to work.
I've just built my own computer with a friend and we installed windows 7 and it worked fine for 3 days. Then it started to not respond. Restarted the computer and it wouldn't start up again, came up with a bunch of errors. So I reformatted and it says "windowssystem32driverwdf0100.sdf is corrupt or missing." I've tried system repair but it won't work. It won't open command prompt or anything.
