View 1 Replies View RelatedI have imported my Outlook Express files into Live Mail (from an XP machine to a laptop running windows 7) using the import function in Live Mail. When I look in the Storage Folders there are no files to view. In the Quick Views I am able to read and see unread emails from Outlook Express but not emails that I have read on my XP machine. To do the import I copied the files from the XP machine to a USB stick and then on the laptop browsed to find the files on the stick. The folder containing the OE files in not read only.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using windows Live email and I lost all my saved emails which were serveral hundred. I had a folder in the same root as my Inbox with sub folders and now they are gone. I would like to make a folder on the root directory of my hard drive and save them to that so this does not happen again. I have 3 hard drives so every couple of days I can just copy them over to the other 2 hard drives so this really can not happen again. What a nightmare. How can I do this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Windows live mail, so maybe this is normal, but to me it's a pain. I have a Windows live account, a gmail account, and a school account (which is actually another gmail account) I am using Windows live to access all three. What bugs me is when I receive email to either gmail account, it also goes to my Windows live account. So if I delete an email in my gmail box, I have to turn around and go delete the same one in Windows live. I want to access all three, but at the same time have only email in my live account that was specifically sent to my live account. Why do I think the "sync" feature has something to do with this, can u disable it??

View 4 Replies View RelatedQuote: About a year ago I set out to create me a Windows 7 live CD. Finally, I am able to present you with the How-To. But before we get into that, lets review what a LIVE CD is.A Live CD is an actual Windows Installation that you carry with you on a USB Flash Drive or CD/DVD. The Windows Installation is portable, meaning that you can have your own windows running on any PC you encounter. The Live CDs are most commonly used to repair computers that have crashed or to rescue data from a hard drive before doing a fresh installation. The great thing about a Live CD is that it does not alter anything on the computer you use (almost like a sandbox). You boot the computer as if it is your own (from the CD/DVD or USB). You can pre-install all the software you like, making it available no matter where you are. Sort of a Laptop, but without the hardware.

View 6 Replies View Relatedwe already checked the registry keys to ensure they were set to have Num Lock on at boot - and typically he has no issues with Num Lock. However when he opens Windows Live Email it turns off Num Lock. I tested to see if opening Windows Live email would turn Num Lock on if it was off but it doesn't. It only turns Num Lock of if it is on.
I have read a few threads on this forum and the last attempt at fixing this was ... Control Panel >> Ease of Access >> Make the keyboard easier to use>>Turn on toggle keys >> On or Off? However that was unsuccessful.
There is no way to add this needed feature. Only right click discusses below or above the ribbon
View 9 Replies View RelatedBecause I was having a problem with my Verizon email which comes thru Windows Live Mail, I called a Verizon tech. He did not fix the problem I had, but in the process of trying he changed something so that now there is a security symbol on my Windows Live Mail icon and when I try to open it as usual, I get the box which asks "Do you want this to make changes to your computer?" I have to click "yes" to open my mail! I need to know how to get it off the Windows Live Mail only, so I don't want to change the security setting overall. I just want to get it off, so my Windows Live Mail opens up without it as it did since I bought my laptop which is a Dell running Windows 7.
