Issues With HD 7750?

May 28, 2012

Has anyone had issues with the Sapphire HD 7750 ultimate?Since installing a week ago I am getting small malfunctions with this card. These are

1. Occasional jumping / glitching of web pages inside IE9. A very fast twitching effect of the whole page.

2. On one occasion, a web page only refreshed to half way down so I could only see the top half of it. Re-starting the tab cured it.

3. When viewing a photo, if I alternate between full screen and a smaller size, the control bar at the bottom of photo viewer becomes corrupted with the buttons often disappearing. If I wait 30 seconds then snap to full again the problem normally fixes.

4. Yesterday about 6 or 8 red blocks appeared, around the bottom task bar. Each was about the size of a task bar icon, they would not disappear until I unlocked the task bar and moved it around a bit.

My install process was as follows:Shut down and remove old card (HD 4350).Install HD 7750.Reboot.Install Catalyst 12.3 driver set from the CD which came with the card.Check for updates to catalyst, download 12.4 and install that version.Perhaps I should have uninstalled the previous drivers for the old card first. I had assumed it would be OK with both cards being AMD.I do not believe there is any issue with temperature, the issues are present even at a cold startup and my GPU temperature has never been above 48 deg, is is normally around 40 in general use.I am tempted to RMA now unless someone else has seen this and can say it is drivers?

No Audio After Installing HD 7750?

Jan 29, 2013

The audio worked before I installed the AMD HD 7750 graphics card, and now I get the "Speakers not plugged in" error message.

Things I have done: Checked BIOS, onboard audio is enabled (there is no auto option, just enable and disable). Reinstalled windows I just finished downloading and installing the latest drivers from my MOBO manufacturer.

I'm not sure what else to do, geek squad (hah) said they think it's either the CD that came with the MOBO (which I reinstalled everything on it after reinstalling windows) or it's a corrupted port. Which, since the mobo is brand new I can't really believe that. Especially since it worked prior to the graphics card. I installed the GPU, and then it wasn't used for a few days at all since I was out of town, then came back and there is no sound.

The only thing I haven't done yet is take out the GPU and see if the audio comes back.
