HP Pavilion P6624y Windows 7 64bit BIOS Update?
Aug 14, 2012I came across a term, BIOS, and was wondering what it was. After doing some research, I found out that I have a very old BIOS,American Megatrends Inc. 6.02 7/21/2010. I am intereted in playing video games after I updated my Power Supply and Graphics Card. The games I play are becoming slower than a few weeks ago. I was wondering if I should update my BIOS. I followed the guide from: Updating the BIOS When I tried searching for an update, I could not find a BIOS tab. I read somewhere that I should not attempt to update my BIOS if there is no such tab. I would really like to improve my computer, but I do not know how. I have also read that I should not find updates from the "motherboard manufacturer's Web site," incase something goes wrong. What should I do?

Nov 24, 2009I recently installed Windows 7 on my HP Pavilion dv2000 notebook. I did this without noticing it was muted. Now I have no audio. I have tried downloading a variety of vista compatible Conexant High-Definition Audio drivers and as yet none have worked.
The audio icon in my taskbar has a red circle with a white cross in it. When I try to install the latest driver through windows task manager it says I have the latest one. When I do a windows update I get no difference. Not really sure what I should do now. I'm out of ideas. Help? Please?

Jun 1, 2012I have upgraded my laptop hp pavilion dv2000 from windows XP to Windows 7 now i have a problem with my inbuilt mic and also i cant talk with an external mic,i can heare the others but they cant hear me talk tried all sort of audio drivers but to no avail,all other functions are working fine please help me out with this.
