HP Pavilion Dv2000 Audio Not Working
I recently installed Windows 7 on my HP Pavilion dv2000 notebook. I did this without noticing it was muted. Now I have no audio. I have tried downloading a variety of vista compatible Conexant High-Definition Audio drivers and as yet none have worked.
The audio icon in my taskbar has a red circle with a white cross in it. When I try to install the latest driver through windows task manager it says I have the latest one. When I do a windows update I get no difference. Not really sure what I should do now. I'm out of ideas. Help? Please?

HP Pavilion HDMI Audio Static
I have an HP Pavilion laptop (DV9334us) that I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. Prior to the upgrade I used the HDMI output to a a Vizio flatscreen to extend my desktop to watch Hulu, etc. With Vista the HDMI video and audio output to the Vizio worked fine, but since upgrading to Windows 7 the video output to the Vizio is fine but the audio is crackly.

Audio Driver For HP Notebook Pavilion Dv2312us
It's not a huge problem, but just found out the WIN 7 audio driver for my HP notebook Pavilion dv2312us will not be available for another 2-3 months. Using the current driver, I get a POP sound when it goes into sleep mode or shuts down. I also don't have a mute function. I hope the POP sound is not damaging to the computer. I was on the driver page for this computer and the Win 7 audio driver is not listed. So then I went into a chat - he gave me a driver that wasn't compatible at all. Had to go back to my other generic IDT driver which causes problems above.

I tried just about anything and i looked on HP's driver database and they have no such thing as a microphone driver. Im talking about the built in one. I tried looking in Sounds but it says that my microphone isn't muted. What can i do? Can anyone link a driver if they know it?

HP Pavilion Dv8220ca / Conexant High Definition Audio
I have a (3 yr.) HP Pavilion dv8220ca Laptop. Looking for a driver that will be compatible with Windows 7. My friend bought the new OS for his exact same lappy (without too much concern about updating) and said that he cannot found a sound driver that will work. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 and have been looking for a driver to fix his issue, so I can fix mine. I can't find the exact sound card, the normal driver set is a Conexant AC-Link Audio Driver. If anyone knows of a work around or a universal driver compatible with Windows 7 please let me know. So far I have tried the Conexant High Definition Audio 4.8.0.0 and I only received an ERROR.

Audio Jack Not Working
Audio jack not working / Computer won't boot when plugged in - Upgraded to Windows 7 64bit on HP Pavillion dv2000. I have run into a couple of major issues after making the jump from Vista 32bit to Windows 7 64bit (home premium).  First, the sound works through on-board speakers but it does not detect when I plug external speakers into either of the jacks.  Also, I noticed the computer simply won't boot when the AC adapter is plugged in.  LCD's on my keyboard's capacitive touch-screen buttons turn on, but there is just no activity and a black screen.  However, when I unplug it it boots right up... I can then plug it back in no problem.  I have tried to install updated audio drivers, but it has been no help.  I have no idea where to begin with the powering-up issue... again these issues never existed before making the jump to Windows 7 64bit.  Any help is appreciated.

After I installed Windows 7 (couldn't upgrade, had to do a custom install), the scrolling on the right side of my touchpad stopped working. I downloaded a new driver, but it still doesn't work. When I go into the Synaptics device settings, it says that I have a "Standard Pointing Device" and when I look at the settings it only gives me options for two buttons (no scrolling options). I attached a picture of the options window I'm talking about. Can anybody help? My computer is an hp pavilion dv2000.

Hercules DJ Console MK2 - USB Audio Card Not Working
I am facing a problem with my external USB audio card: Hercules DJ console MK2. I was using it with WinXP without problems, but 64bit 7 cannot install the driver. I found a 2008 (designed for vista 32/64bit) version of the driver on the Guillemot-Hercules website but it doesn't work (on my system...). It is an executable file (.exe), no way of finding .inf files. Does anyone have the same trouble? Is there any workaround to extract driver files from the executable?

Realtek AC'97 Audio For VIA (R) Audio Controller Drivers Issue
I just installed Windows 7 and it seems awesome! The biggest problem so far is with audio drivers. I have MSI KT6V LSR motherboard (using VIA KT600 north bridge and VIA VT8237 South Bridge). I got the sound to work by installing drivers, but after I reboot the computer, sound didn't work anymore. The volume icon in notification area shows a red cross, and when I click it, Windows starts a windows "Detecting problems". After that, it says that reinstalling the driver might help.

Switching From HDMI Audio Output Back To Built Audio Output
Win7 RC (64 bit version) Recently I had to plug in just a monitor and speakers to my system (and unplug the HDMI TV input). Per the control panel, it correctly states that there is no HDMI device and standard line out is the active device. (Little bar graph goes up and down as audio supposedly is being outputed). (If I boot XP the audio works just fine.) My question is can anyone provide a pointer to where to look to see where the audio stream is going (I think it is still heading towards the HDMI port). Hardware - I7, MSI X58 MB, ATI 4350 graphics card, NO audio card (just built audio).
