Boot And Installing Multiply OS's From ExtHDD?
Sep 3, 2011I have a external hard drive made from a spare laptop hard drive. Size is 160GB, enclosure is a Sharkoon Quickstore Portable Pro (USB 3.0).I wanted to make 2 partitions on this disk. The first partition will be around 50GB and will contain the data for booting and installing different OS's.The second partition (100GB) will be used a data storage, in short: just a external hard drive for storing files like music, pictures, etc.I wanted to make the first partition bootable, and program a menu to choose between different OS's. Main concept is I want a hard drive with Windows 7, Windows XP, Ubuntu, etc. on it to INSTALL this to the PC it's plugged in. I already have a bootable USB stick containing Windows 7, that's where the idea came from. So I don't want to run a OS on the drive, but I want to be able to INSTALL a OS from the drive.

Sep 30, 2012I am about to lose it. I have tried several firefox addons, tried replay media catcher and other media catchers/downloaders and all fail to download a simple flash video from a website. The frustrating part is that the video is non-existent in firefox cache as well so there is no way to download this. Replay media catcher and all these useless video downloaders.

May 23, 2011I imported my photos from my SDCard to my PC using Picasa 3, and everything was going smoothly... until I tried to take a look at the photos! all of the photos that I've imported using this method for some reason all became greyed out! Viewing them on Picasa3, all you can see is a grey rectangle, in place of the photos. However, when using the windows explorer folder, i can see that the photos were imported correctly (it's not just a grey box, but the actual photos), but when I try to open it (using any program: Paint, Picasa3, etc), it is still a grey rectangle instead of the photos. I tried to upload the image and send it via email, and I get the same result.In my mistake, I chose to "delete the uploaded photos after uploading" option..it's my vacation photos from Croatia I'm not sure if there were any errors when I imported it... i stepped out for a bit while I was waiting for it to import. I looked around my SD card, and looked at the "Lost.dir" folder, and copied all of what's in there.I did use Glarysoft to recover the images, and I'm using a Windows 7 laptop as my computer. Also, are there other alternatives? I did save the lost.dir with all of the photo files in it, both in my SD Card, and on my laptop.

Dec 27, 2011I built a website using MS Publisher 2007. Im using Filezilla to upload changes to the site. Everything works great. Except: When I use a computer which runs on Vista, and I upload the changes, all the changes are good on IE, Firefox and Chrome.
However (and heres the very strange part), when I upload the changes on a computer running Windows 7, the changes are all good on Firefox and Chrome but on IE, the menu bar down the left side doesnt show up which, of course, means that anyone viewing the site on IE cant go to other pages. Ive tried to upload the changes using another computer running Windows 7 to be sure it wasnt just my computer and the same thing happened.

When I connect to my neighbors wifi I can connect to that site.I have tried start > run > cmd > ipconfig /flushdns.I have tried deleting all browsing data (cache cookies ect..)I have tried start > run > cmd > ipconfig /release and /renewAnd still nothing.Also I have tried unplugging my router for 5-10 mins to change my ip address and no luck there either.

May 16, 2012I have two computers connected to a cisco router, one is connected with an Ethernet cable, and the other through wifi.the thing is, recently, i cannot access one particular website "www,timesofmalta.com" with the computer connected through ethernet, but the wifi one is ok.The computer with this problem has a win 7 OS while the other(wifi) is on win XP.I already tried dns flush command, and reset the modem(router). Jun 27, 2009I have a strange problem: I cannot access websites on a certain server (Firefox gives me "Network Timeout", Windows network diagnostics says "website is online but isn't responding to connection attempts"). The problem is quite annoying since that happens to be the server that hosts my own websites.The problem is limited to this computer because I can access the websites without problem from other devices (another computer, a mobile phone) connected to the same network. That should rule out server, ISP or router problems.The problem is not browser related, because none of the browsers on this computer can access the website (I have tried Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari).
I can ping the server IP with no problem.But I cannot access the server by entering the IP to the browser (this results in the same error message -- but works fine on other devices).I can access other websites hosted by the same hosting provider on different servers.The hosts file looks ok -- it's the default Windows 7 host file.I have tried reconnecting to the network, dnsflush, rebooting, emptying caches, deleting temporary internet files, but none of this helps.This has happened a few times now, and then gone away after a while. It just starts working again. But now it's been over two days that it hasn't worked, so it seems like it might not come back at all.

Can't Get Website To Load In IE Or FF
Jan 31, 2012I am trying to load the site MY HABIT Sign In (don't judge me, OK? lol) and it won't load at all. If I delete the cookies it places on my computer, the home page will load and it will let me log in, but it won't load any of the merchandise pages at all - it just hangs there trying to load - I never get an error of any kind. I had been using Open DNS after having some other trouble with my ISP, so I tried switching to Google DNS but that has made no difference.
I ran the flushdns.bat file as instructed in the tips for posting thread, but forgot to save the snip as a JPEG before I ran the bat file. At this point, I just want to figure out what the heck is wrong.

Oct 19, 2012Up until a few days agao everything was working fine but all of a sudden I have not been able to access a certain webiste on any of our computers at home or through using our internet but if i turn off wireless on my phone i can access it through 3G and if we take the laptop to our neighbours house we can access the website.
Ive spoke to our internet provider and they have said there is nothing wrong their end, ive cleared the history and cookies etc from our computers, checked all the virus settings etc and nothing seems to be working.
how we can access the website would be great as it is pretty important we can access it.
