I am getting random BSOD's here and there, but there does seem to be a correlation between a greater occurence when playing games. Often I can't play a high-resolution game for more than an hour or two before I crash.I heard a recommendation to try Prime95, and I get an insta-BSOD when doing the Blend test.I unfortunately am under the suspicion that this is a CPU hardware error and the CPU will have to be replaced, but I do need some form of help or confirmation before I take the next step RMA'ing it. It seems erratic from one web page to another, and often automatically returns to 100%. Sometimes when I return to previous viewed web pages, the higher setting will have remained. If I set at 125% I want it to stay there!!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently installed a new AMD 8150-FX 8-Core processor (Black Edition)Ever since I replaced my old AMD Phenom II 4X 965 Black Edition, with the above mentioned, I've had blue screens.Now this is only happening when I am playing demanding games such as ARMA2, GTA4, Crysis ect ect ect;I also note that it only seems to be happening when I've got the settings to Ultra or highest settings.Now I know that my PC is more than capable of playing today's best games on Max/ Ultra because I was playing with those settings on my old CPU.I'm sure this has got something to do with the new CPU.Below is a copy of what the 'Event Viewer' is telling me:The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi got this problem playing high performance games..When i enter the following games (below) my graphic hits 75 - 85 celcius (what worries me is the world of warcraft... It's only on HIGH and it goes to almost 90 celcius)
World of warcraft (high)
Battlefield 3 (Ultra)
Guild wars 2 (Ultra)
I was reading abit about this problem on google and saw a person telling another one that was having the same problem as me that a PSU could heat up your GPU if it is just under your GPU.. - My PSU is not far from my GPU and the fan on my PSU is almost just up against my GPU so i kinda wonder can a PSU really heat up my GPU that much?My cousin got a very tiny case for his pc, he got a gtx 560ti and hits 65 - 70 celcius and goes 50fps in stormwind with 60+ players around him and 200 - 250fps outside stormwind. in stormwind i got 20 fps and in world i got 60 - 100 fps. I got a Evga GTX 580 1534MB myself and should be alot better then the gtx 560TI.. He also runs 20 - 30 fps higher then me in Guild wars (60 - 90fps) i am running 30 - 50fps..
I am playing online games and my ping is very high (200+) there is something I can do with this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI play a lot of games that are considered kinda mainstreamed and the hardware requirements are kinda low. But the problem I am having is that after I exit the game the CPU utilization remains high and I don't know why? It leaves the PC running sluggish and I'd have to restart PC if I want to start a new game. The only thing I would have running in the background is WINAMP.
My system specs:
C2Dou e6550 2.33 OCed 2.5
DDR2 4GB
4870 512GDDR5 @ 1920x1200res
Windows 7 64bit home premium is on a SSD32GB
and a 300GBmaxter for storage
And the games I experience a hang after exiting are:
CnC3 Tiberium Wars
League of Legends
Global Agenda
COD Black OPS
COD MW2
And a side note I have the "Paging File" disabled and same thing goes for the "back up feature", the automatic defrag setting is also unchecked.

My mouse pointer would start refreshing/flickering every 5 minutes or so and it would slow down anything I was watching or playing at the time. It doesn't really bother me when I watch movies because I can just shake the mouse and it would stop but when I play games I can't do anything about it and so I can't really play any games. I asked my repair man, he also has Windows 7 but he didn't know how to fix it.

I have two desktops. Both are connected via a Ethernet switch. Both desktops are detecting each other. I can also share files from both the desktops.But i cant play LAN games. I'm making server from a desktop but other desktop not detecting it. Same case on both desktops. Till now i have tried NFS most wanted v1.3 and willrock. View 3 Replies View RelatedWindows freezes at random interval's while I play game's, but it seems to be only with certain games not particularly graphically intense but 3d accelerated none the less. I've done everything I can think of to fix it,
1)Scan disk
2)Defrag
3)Mem-test
4)Windows totally updated
5)Tried drivers version 185, 190
and 192.62 or whatever the latest ones are from 1/8/10
6)I checked my drives to ensure there was no corruption
7)disabled services
8)disabled programs at startup
9)Scanned my registry
10)Scanned for Malware
11)Scanned for Virus's, spyware all the stuff.
12)turned of the UAC
13)ran in compatiblity mode (which never works so I don't know why I ever bother doing it)
15)all my other drivers are the most recent version even my mouse.
16)tried 2 different Nvidia cards.
17)change all kinds of settings in bios, even the stupid cool'n'quiet bs.
18)questioned myself on why I bought an Nvidia card since my wife has an identical computer with an ATI card and has no problems.
19)Checked the event logs, all thats in them is error auditing has stopped, and the computer is recovered from my un=lawfull attempt to hard-restart it after it froze.
20)I have a 750 Corsair PSU no problem with power,
21)my cpu at max runs at 40C, my GPU is max around 50.
22)I tried all the suggestions Nvidia offered which equals 0
23)I tried all the support microsoft offered which was ensure the power is turned on.
24)dxdiag say's everythings ok.
25)Disabled the Aero Theme
26)Tried Completely disabling my second monitor.
27)Updated motherboard drivers, Chip set drivers,
28)Checked Reliability monitor and Events log, nothing.
29)Disabled physx.
I don't know what to do with it, I meen theres a-lot of stuff I have done other then that I cannot remember even. It ran fine on vista 64, which this computer was on when I upgraded to 7 Ultimate 64.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
