Now when I place that in an enclosure and want to use it as an external HDD drive, it doesn't pick up the device. Through Diskpart I am able to give the drive a letter and access it, but when I "Safely" remove device, the Drive letters remain....
- Do I need to do anything special to make the Device a Plug and Play?
- How do I remove the Drive Letters that I assigned through Diskpart from "My Computer"?

Sep 23, 2011I am using a third party music player, MusicBee, to play my music, however if I select a folder in windows explorer of an artist that has more than one album in sub folders under the artist name then the "PLAY ALL" button does nothing.
If I select a folder without sub folders inside the PLAY button works fine and open MusicBee to play the music.
I also have VLC installed and if I right click on any music folder I get the Play with VLC option, how can I add this same option for MusicBee.

May 16, 2009I know it's doable. I did it for 7100. I can't seem to do it for 7127 though.
Basically, I loaded the ISO in PowerISO. Then I told it to burn it to the USB stick. That's it. Now I can't find out how I did it. I tried a search on here and on Google.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Never mind. It was UltraISO that let me do this.

Nov 14, 2009I bought my FIRST Memory Stick, 16GB, to use wehn I uprgrade from W'7 Trial Version to Retail Version.........the seller said it was compatible with Vista and W'7'; I put the stick into my USB port and it showed it had FAT 32 on it and, NOT knowing for sure, I figured that it probably should have NTFS system on it before I transfer things on to it. I told my W'7 to format it to NTFS and it came back that it could not be done.
Please tell me IF I can use this stick with FAT32 to store data off of my present W'7 OS - to be re-installed onto a NEW install of W'7 in the near future.....OR.....does this stick have to have NTFS on it??

It keeps claiming that the device drivers are not installing successfully, even though My memory stick clearly works. I performed a DriveCure scan, and everything is installed successfully. I have also tried other usb devices, such as my wacom tablet and it works fine. So it only seems to be having problems with External Memory Devices.

Nov 17, 2012This is being used on PSP (File System is FAT32, was formatted on PSP itself) and had 26% fragmentation (6'6gb size of it). After copying all stuff I wanted to it (leaving 22% space) left all this fragmentation so decided to do a normal defrag (using defragler) since its going to need only 1 time as i dont plan to delete that stuff or replace it.
What is your opinion about if I could have gained any little performance on the memory stick doing this or not? Also didn't check yet if CCleaner can delete free space on this memory stick or not (not sure if this memory sticks store data like an HDD do so). Just doing a normal defrag on this memory stick took some good hours.
Windows Won't Load Without Memory Stick
Mar 19, 2011I don't know how it happened but when I turn my computer on it won't load without a memory stick in that contains the recovery CD. If I put the stick everything works perfectly.The same applies to shutting down, if I try to shutdown without the memory stick in it will just stay on the log on screen. Put it in and click shutdown and it works fine.

Feb 2, 2011Every time I start playing music (VLC) my laptop restarts. I have been experiencing this for more than a month. Tried reinstalling drivers and even Win7 but nothing seems to help. Previously it used to give me a BSOD restart but since the last time I reinstalled Win7 after formatting the laptop it just restarts and asks me whether I want to start windows in safe mode or normally. This is really disastrous since I am used to continuous music.

Cannot Play Any Music Or Video Files?
Jul 3, 2011i have some troubles to play all kind of media files now. the problem comes out a few days ago and i have no idea what may be the reason. i am very sure i didn't install anything to my computer and there is no notifications to tell me anything that is damaged etc. and i just reinstall the entire computer once today but the problem is ongoing!!!!!!!!!!i am running my computer on windows 7 Pro X86. And the problems is that doesn't matter what media player i use and no matter what type of files i try to play they start to play for about one second then automatically stopped. but if i switch the media player to background then they can play the file till it finish. so far i have tried windows media player VLC KMplayer Real player and quick time player. the file i have tried are mp3 mp4 flv mkv wma wmv avi 3gp and ape.
a funny thing i notice is that when i move my mouse to the minimized windows on taskbar, the preview only flash out for a short time then disappear even i don't move my mouse, not sure if this has anything to do with my problem though.

- After right clicking on the stick or on a partition and selecting format, nothing happens. Literally nothing, its like I didn't press it.
- Another a bit troubling issue, is that when I tried to scan with my antivirus, I get that the scan engine cant initialize, although the whole software works. I am using Bitdefender Internet Security 2010
I am currently scanning with ESET Online Scanned for viruses, to be sure I don't have a nasty one, but from what I see is that other then that, everything works fine. Finished the scan, with no issues. Also the troubling memory stick, i went to another PC, and was virus free and also was easily formatted. So i am afraid is something related to the system or something like that.
