I have a Dell Studio 1558 that runs Windows 7 Premium. I also have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD video card, a Core i5 processor, and 6GB of memory. I play World of Warcraft and the game runs for about 15 minutes quickly and then slows to a crawl each time. Is there something wrong with the system or something I can do to fix it? I can provide more system info if needed.
my computer said there is no webcam driver detected.please install the webcam driver usinge the resource cd and launch webcam center again.and my dell webcam it blank and black.
I am using a Dell Studio 1558 with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I have the dell 1520 Wireless Mini-card installed. The wireless on my windows is very slow which is frustrating. Using linux on the same wireless system gives me good speeds. I suspect there is a problem with the driver in windows. How do i fix this/??
Just after the October 22 release date, Dell posted some new graphics and other drivers for Windows 7. How can I tell whether they are needed, or should I assume that Windows Update takes care of making sure the latest drives are installed?
I have a Dell studio laptop that keeps rebooting. I turn it on an it gets to the Dell logo and then reboots. You can select the F2 setup option or the F12 Boot options but this does nothing. If I select F12 then try to select diagnostics it reboots, whatever option it just reboots. I tried to start it in safe mode by pressing delete this did nothing just re-booted and also pressing F8 again nothing. I tried to boot the Dell windows CD that cme with the laptop but nothing it sounds like its trying to start but reboots before anything happens.
4GB DDR2 800MHz dual channel MemoryATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512MB500GB Hard Drive Serial ATA 5400RPM and now i'm trying to decide which os to install
the 64 bit windows will recognize the 4 GB og ram but XP will not use the dual core while Windows 7 64 as i heard is very unstable and have limited time like as Windows 7 32 but on the other hand they both use the dual core
I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and I'm so tempted to go back to Vista...if anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated!
I have the Dell Studio 1737. Since I've upgraded to Windows 7...my CD/DVD driver barely works, the finger reader doesn't work, webcam doesn't work...and now I can't view video files...the web goes to 'not responding'. I have updated my Flash, that did nothing.
I slipped a dvd into my drive, carefully as usual, and for some reason, my eject button and manual eject (from computer setting) won't work. Anyone else ever had this problem?
So a few weeks ago I was running on Vista and everything crashed completely. After a lot of thinking about it, I decided it was time to change over to Windows 7 Home Premium. But a few days after a clean and easy install, my laptop switched itself off completely, I think because my fans aren't particularly on form atm. Switching it back on I received this message[CODE]No drivers were found! Please browse to locate a driver! With no options of making a new one and no evidence of my C or E drive, I got fed up I took the disk out and gave it another switch on (in hope) and voila! It worked again! Only to switch off and take me back to square one, receiving the same errors as before.Though now, when I try to boot from the CD, I reach the loading stage of Windows 7 I occasionally also receive a blue screen which informs me of a fatal error and forces me to restart the entire thing again. The laptop itself is about 3 years old and hasn't had many problems (other than the overheating) until now. I'm not fussed about saving work/pictures/etc, I have them all on disk elsewhere. I just really want to be able to sort this out
Its been about 2 week since I installed Windows 7.I love the new OS but I am still missing some drivers!!!I tried to contact Dell, and this was their answer:"You need to download the Windows 7 drivers"Like I dont know...But there are still no Windows 7 drivers on the Studio 1535 driver download page. This is the information Windows gives me:Name: A base system deviceDeveloper: unknownLocation: PCI-bus 3, device 1, function 3Name: Unknow deviceDeveloper: unknowmLocation: on Intel(R) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815I read something about Ricoh drivers or something like that, but I cannot find any solution... One of the missing drivers listed above is for the remote control (i think)Because it doesnt respond to any button I push on it
I did a complete re-format of my Dell Studio 1555 a few months ago and ever since it keeps freezing up! Just randomly! Not at any specific time or with any specific programs opened. I have to hold the power button and restart the computer once it freezes because nothing else works.
I have a dell 1737 running windows 7 ultimate and I can not reformat the hard drive. I've tried F8 function clicked on "repair your computer" and once I press enter it start windows normally like its skipping past the repair option screen that is suppose to come after that screen. whats wrong with this pc and why won't it reformat?
I have had the HP 1410 all in one printer for many years, and has always worked fine. About 2 months ago, my laptop had a hardware failure of some sort, and I only backed up my documents. Everything else had been deleted. I only recently wanted to start using the printer again, so I installed the driver using the HP website. However, once the driver installed, it seems that my printer and my laptop cannot connect up, and it seems that my laptop may not recognise the printer as a device. I am unsure as to what I should do now.
System specs :-Windows 7 ultimate x64-formatted before, original installed OS was Windows Vista-OEM-2 years approx.-1 month since the last OS installation on this laptopMy dell studio 1555 keep on shut down by its own, something like power out without notice while playing games. This has happened for around 1 years time, but I still haven't found any solutions on it.
I recently got a Dell Studio 1555 laptop and installed Windows 7 on it.
The Aero theme background really becomes funky and full of lines as seen in the attached images. Sometimes application window displays also get messed up as in the attached Paint window.
I installed the latest Driver for the Video from Dell site but that doesn't seem to solve the issue.
Following is the configuration of my laptop:
Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/1MB cache) 3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 800MHz 15.6 Full High Definition (1080p) High Brightness LED Display with TrueLife and Camera Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
I recently updated my laptop to win 7 x64 from win vista x32(which came preloaded)everything seems to ne working fine except the SD card i checked Dell drivers website for the latest drivers but they dont seem to be working..
I used to be able to access the internet on this computer - on a small business server 2003 - on the Network Sharing center, it shows that I am connected to the network (doesn't matter if I'm on wireless or wired same issue) it shows an x on the display for internet. I checked the gateway and it is the same for the other computers that are on the internet. No problems anywhere else connecting to internet. I don't have any spyware/viruses. I can access files on the server and other pcs no problem - just won't let me on the internet. I read somewhere that it could possibly be SP1?
I have Windows 7 32-Bit installed onto a Dell Studio 1535 laptop, with an Intel hi-def sound card. The OS recognized the card on boot, but won't let me install the Intel IDT drivers and doesn't recognize the mic port.
The sound card is such that the rear output changes to a microphone input when you tell it to through the IDT drivers, and I'm guessing the default drivers don't know how to handle that functionality. When I try to run the Intel drivers from a disc it gives me a "device is not found" error.
I couldn't find another thread relating to the exact same problem, as they have hijackthis logs etc. whereas I cannot get onto my laptop to do anything at all.I am running a Dell Studio 1555 with Windows 7. When I turn it on I can hear it boot, but everytime the screen just stays black. I cannot start it in safemode or do anything. It is just blackI can think is that the other day I used CC Cleaner and it did some things to the registry. Otherwise I have not downloaded anything or done anything that should suddenly make it stop working.
I have received a new Dell Studio 1555 with Windows 7 64-bit pre-installed. I enjoy having both windows and linux for different reasons, so would like to install Ubuntu Linux and dual boot with windows 7. When I start my machine the Dell logo appears with options to open Setup F2 or Boot Option F12, when I try setup nothing happens and goes straight to booting windows and when I try to open boot open the system freezes.
I have tried pressing buttons many time and holding them, nothing just works.
