Generate Thumbs.db?

How can I generate the thumbs.db so that it is stored locally in the folder - NOT in thumbcache_*.db inside C:UsersUser-NameAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsExplorerI want the thumbs.db right inside the folder stored - like XP did. Is there a way to force this or create/refresh it on demand?lready read Brinks article here: Thumbnail Cache - Enable or Disable and I also was asking a similar question which was specifically for portable drives which behave differently if I got that correctly. When I try to delete a folder, I sometimes get Cannot delete thumbs. It is being used by another personr program. Close any programs that might be using thefile and try again". Sometimes, I can click on another folder, go back to it and delete it then.I've read about some workarounds, but this requires suppressing Windows Features such as

I want to delete 20 folders containing images. Whe I try to delete more than one folder, I keep getting a Thumbs file. when I skip it, it returns for each folder.If I delete a single folder, it gets deleted OK.

Want to generate the reports in the sticky (attacking folders as a zip). I've done the first report and have the folder (Windows_N6_BSOD). How do I ZIP this exactly?
The third step (Start>perfmon/report). I type this into the search bar in start and don't get anything? (I have Windows 7).
I want to be able to put all the info as requested as I'm getting a few random crashes on startup (including the occasional BSOD). But obviously I want to be able to give the correct info to the experts on here.

Ever since using Windows 7 I got annoyed that some folders and files seemed immune to my attempts to move them or delete them invoking that "some program" was using them. Since I usually run no less than 5 or 6 main programs and a score of smaller utilities I always assumed tat it was one of may many programs blocking the Moving of folders and files. Apparently not. Today I was trying to organize my music folder (400GB and as many folders as I have albums) and I kept getting the alert that a program was using the folder.

I have a PC at home that is shared with several people. What I would like to do is to have a way to somehow generate and give people a temporary password that they could use to login to my account on my PC, thereby not having to disclose my password. Does anyone know of any software or something built-in to Windows 7 that would allow me to do this?

movies all held on Seagate FreeAgent external HD and in the form of video_ts
fresh install...but when i click on movie library in WMC, it slowly pulls up the thumbs for the movies but when i start to navigate thru, it locks up after only moving a couple movies to the right. i can still hear the clicking sound as if it was still navigating, but the movie thumbs just stand still. its not a black out or anything of that sort, but i can't do anything but click on the X to close it out.
however, when associate the drive folder with videos, i am able to navigate thru the movie thumbs (albeit smaller versions of the movie section), i have no problems and everything works fine. obviously i'd rather use the movie section to peruse my movies...
any thoughts? suggestions? any info i've left out that you guys need to help diagnose?

fter alot of searching i found a good solution to the problem when using Windows login to a SQL server while on Win VPN giving the error: Cannot generate SSPI context.Wanted to share it:Locate the .pbk file that contains the entry that you dial. Is either: :Users<USERNAME>AppDataRoamingMicrosoftNetworkConnectionsPbk or if connection is visible to all users: :ProgramDataMicrosoftNetworkConnectionsPbk(hidden files may need to be disabled first through Organize -> Folder and search options) Open the file in Notepad using Open with... Locate the following entry: UseRasCredentials=1 Each VPN connection you have has a section marked with [<VPN connection name>] Modify the entry to the following:UseRasCredentials=0 Needs to be done for each VPN section for the connections having problems. On the File menu, click Save, and the click Exit.

I have no idea where the thumbnail.db is in an external hard drive connected to a computer running windows 7. Is there is such a thing? does an external hard drive have its own thumbnails, or are they only located on the main disk in the computer?

Can any one help me find an app that will help me do this? I want to automatically generate a line graph from a text CSV file that is matically and constantly generated by another software I have running. Then I want the graph to be displayed/posted to a particular directory on my website, so it can be browsed to and seen whenever needed.
The generation of the data set is done automatically, and a new data point is added to the text CSV file every 30 seconds. It is set up in columns, and I would only need 4 of the 8 columns to be graphed.
I guess the graph could be a jpg and be generated locally and uploaded via auto reoccurring ftp. Or, the data text csv file could be auto ftpd on a schedule to the web directory and the graph be auto generated there every time the text csv file is overwritten.
