After installing a windows 7 upgrade on my acer aspire 7535G my powerxpress no longer works - it thinks my onboard HD3200 is primary and my Mobility HD 4570 is powering another display - which it is not.
any ideas how i can swap primary adapters back and get it so it thinks i have only 1 display and to swap between adapters when changing power sources like it used to?
This is my noob experience of the £699 4 months ago 17.3" multi spec't acer aspire model 7535g
ATI mobilty 4570 radeon twin graphcs job
£12.78 buys two discs to get me from vista 32 home premium to windows 7 home premium 32bit
1 upgrade disc and 1 windows 7 media disc
I decide to go with a clean install so i changed boot sequence in bios to cd first, then booted from the windows 7 media disc.
option 2 custom install i managed to delete partitions which made my restore discs effectivley scrap.
realizing there was no way back, i had to instal windows 7
all went silky smooth untill the device radeon 4000 series had code 10 cannot start
i let windows 7 update this device - rebooted...the screen never came back...the machine was ON,signal up and everything but no raster, just a mouse curser.
hmm... rebooted in safe mode, rolled back driver....screen ok but still the graphics 4570 is code 10 and cannot start.
so i inserted the acer upgrade dvd
and ran all EXCEPT the amd puma driver
rebooted
all ok
then i ran the puma driver, rebooted and the screen never came on...backlighting but no picture.
Holding down the power button i just turned it off, rebooted, pressed f7 or 8 whatever key for safe mode and chose
I own a Acer 5735G and I made a clean install of windows 7 however I seem to have couple of issues
1) I have installed backup manager software, which works but there is a quick access button on the keyboard which is meant to launch the application, this does not work! Help anybody?
2)The drivers for the ATI HD4570 are not correct, I know there has been much talk about this, was simply hoping for an update!

I checked "Device manager" and they showed that I have no driver for [Ethernet Controller, Network Controller ,and Video Controller] . I think I deleted Windows.old already , so now I can't recover the original driver . I did a search but can't find anywhere .

I had just installed windows 7 on my laptop. The only issue is that the cd rom is not working and I have this notice on the trouble shooter: "The software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)"
This is the device driver details : ONU YV09A7W9E SCSI CdRom Device
I have an Acer Aspire 1800 that I installed Windows 7 RC onto. I was completely impressed with the ease of the installation and how it seemed to find a driver for everything on my laptop. Well almost everything. Apparently the Os can't find a driver for my wifi and the manufacturer doesn't seem to want to help.
Has anyone else used this particular laptop and ahd any luck? I hate that the only thing not having a driver in the Device Manager is the WiFi.
i recently got an acer aspire 5750g and my cousin ruind the hdd so i put my old one in which had vista on any way to cut the story short i instaled windows home premium 32 bit and i cant find the webcam driver
I am trying ti install win 7 on a fresh hard drive and get error "No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK." I think it is looking for a driver for the CD/DVD. I have tried changing to IDE compatibility and that has not worked. I have checked the manufacturers site for a driver and there is not one, have also been gooling it for days and no luck.
I am having trouble installing a card reader driver on my Acer Aspire 5050.The memory card reader is ENE CB714 Cardbus/MediaReader Controller. The ENE Technology website has no links or downloads for their drivers. After clicking Extract Here, there are no 'instructions'. I cannot seem to 'unzip the files. There is also no 'install file' that shows up. I have followed the steps and they are simply not working.I am trying to use my Sony CyberShot camera in my USB ports.
