I am having difficulty installing my canon ir1570 printer on my laptop with a windows 7 64 bit o.s. I have tried all drivers from canon and their website but none works. I have tried manual installation, but windows update does not update with this printer model.
Vista x64 natively supported a bunch of canon printers with x64 drivers. For some printers this support has gone under Windows 7 x64. Perhaps this will help some people ... .
I mounted a Vista x64 ISO-image/source, extracted the folder with the canon printer drivers and installed the Colorpass Z40e driver under Windows 7 x64. In my case I used this driver für a Canon Colorpass Z400e (Canon CLC 1100).
Extraxct :
- use 7zip
- under options check "wim"
- open the install.wim an verify your vista version (important if there is a 64bit and 32 bit version on the same DVD, in my case there was only a 64bit on the systembuilder DVD)
- choose the right folder and extract the canon printer driver folder with 7zip
Upgraded desktop to 64-bit and discovered that my Canon LiDe80 and Canon PIXMA iP4000 drivers are incompatible. So after some research and not sure how accurate, I read that the professional version would allow more of the 32-bit drivers to work.
I want to install my Canon Pixma iP4500, but the Canon website lists no drivers for Windows 7. It is listed as compatible in the MS Compatibility checker.Do I take it that I just connect the printer and wait for Windows to find a driver?I presume that if it does, it will give me the same printer functionality as it did in Windows XP? Or do I need to install one of the "add-ons" in the Canon website?
I have this printer since 1995, and it still works well! (I had, though, to take it apart and clean it a few times.) It runs with WinXP and Linux, but I have not yet been able to install any of the drivers I could find in Win7.Of course, I use a parallel port adapter that works well with XP and Linux installed in other partitions on the same hard disk.
I have a Windows 7 machine, 64bit running Ultimate. I am trying to get it to print to a Canon iR C3220. I have the 64bit Canon iR C3220-C2 PCL5c driver installed which works fine on 4 other machine of the same specs. On one machine though when printing anything, the document is sent to the printer but the user has to manually clear the message to "load more paper", and there is already full trays in there, so the document is printed. If there is more than one document to print the user has to stand by the machine and press the "load more paper" to print the next document.
I can offload my pictures to an old WinXP computer, it isn't possible to lug that with us on vacation. I'm bringing my laptop. What can I do to get pictures on to my computer? The camera has only a 1GB CF Card, and I don't want to blow $30 on another card, or a card reader if it can be avoided.
have the same problem with my Canon G2 / Windows 7 home premium 64 bitsCamera is not recognised.Have downloaded a new DC WIA driver and still not recognised.Camera does not show up in computer or anywhere else. Will show under hardware stating driver not installed.
