Dell 1535 From 32 Bit Vista To 64 Bit Win 7
Oct 27, 2009The CNET site, Studio 1535 review shows my Intel T8100 as a 64 bit VISTA OS but is came with VISTA 32. I would like to reformat and load a fresh 64 bit Windows 7. Is this possible, and will 32-bit Vista drivers work with a 64 bit Windows 7 OS?

Nov 29, 2009Ive got a Dell Studio 1535 running Windows Vista.
I want to upgrade to Windows 7, used the Upgrade Advisor, no problem.
The only thing I need before I want to install Win 7 are the drivers.
HOWEVER Dell hasnt got any drivers suitable for my PC!
When I go to the download page, it only gives 2 options:
-> Windows Vista 32 bit
-> Windows Vista 64 bit
What am I to do?
I really want to upgrade, but if the drivers are missing, my PC wont work!
Do the vista drivers work for 7 as well?

Dec 22, 2009I'm trying to install Dell Studio 1535 Bios drivers from A02 to A06 , but i get error : Error! The BIOS update could not be performed ,because a valid ROM image file could not be found . If can it be , because Windows 7 can't read this driver?

Missing Drivers Dell Studio 1535
Dec 5, 2009Today, my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate finally arrived! Installation was no problem and most of the drivers are installed. However, I still miss a few.
I miss:
Name: A base system device
Developer: unknown
Location: PCI-bus 3, device 1, function 3
Name: Unknow device
Developer: unknowm
Location: on Intel(R) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815
Windows automatically installed all the other drivers.
But I cannot find any driver for the devices listed above.
Does somebody know where I can find them?

May 21, 2009I have Windows 7 32-Bit installed onto a Dell Studio 1535 laptop, with an Intel hi-def sound card. The OS recognized the card on boot, but won't let me install the Intel IDT drivers and doesn't recognize the mic port.
The sound card is such that the rear output changes to a microphone input when you tell it to through the IDT drivers, and I'm guessing the default drivers don't know how to handle that functionality. When I try to run the Intel drivers from a disc it gives me a "device is not found" error.
Dell Studio 1535 Touchpad Won't Scroll After Installing Windows 7
Sep 24, 2011Dell Studio 1535 I've successfully installed Windows 7 on a clients laptop, the thing is the touchpad won't scroll anymore after having installed Windows 7.I have all the drivers and everything, even the driver for the touchpad.I just can't figure out to set/configure the touchpad to scroll again.
Note: The touchpad itself does work, but it just won't scroll.

Dec 18, 2009I am running Windows 7 Pro x64. It detected up my Canon iP2600 printer and installed a Microsoft generic driver, but color photo prints are bad. So I went to Canon's web site, downloaded the Windows 7 x64 driver and ran the installer. It appears to have installed OK, but I wanted to verify the driver source and version.
To my surprise, when I opened the Properties sheet of the printer, I did not find the usual dialog box giving the option to update the printer, rollback, etc. I've looked in Device Manager, Devices and Printers, etc and do not see a dialog box for managing printer drivers.
Generally speaking, how does one install a new printer driver, or roll back to a previous driver?

Nov 16, 2009I have a home network setup with 4 computers - 3 working computers and the 4th serving as a file server. One of these 3 working computers is a new one - i7, 920 with 6 Gb DDR3 1333 RAM and runs Windows XP Professional 64 bit OS (to be shortly replaced with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS - once I get my disc from Microsoft). All the other PC's run 32 bit Windows XP Professioal SP 3.
I have connected a Canon i560 to one of the working computers running 32 bit Windows XP Professional for a specific reason. Installation this printer as a sharetd printer on this computer was no problem using the accompanying CD. I am able to install the driver for this printer 2 of the other computers running 32 bit Windows XP Professional and hence I am able to print on this printer from any of those printers. So far so good.
The problem however is that when I try and install this printer on my new computer, it says that the driver is not compatible. I search the net for a 64 bit driver, and I did find one for Vista (its a zip file - 20mb) and it unzips and installs the Canon Easy Photo Print utility but I cannot (or do not know) how to use this as the driver for this printer.
Does anyone know how can I get this shared Canon i560 printer to be connected to this new PC of mine running 64 bit Windows XP Professional (soon to be replaced with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS)? The concern is that if I am having difficutly finding a driver for Windows XP Professiona 64 bit for this printer, can I expect the same difficulty in finding a driver for Windows 7 Professiona 64 bit for this printer too?
P.S. Surprisingly, I am able to connect to my new computer an even older Canon LBP660 printer locally connected to my file server computer using its driver for Windows 2000! Could physical distance be an issue?
