I have Windows 7. I have tried to change all my security settings but nothing will allow me to open links in Outlook mail. I started having this problem after I upgraded from XP to Windows 7.

Dec 7, 2012I've been having trouble opening links from one webpage to another. If while browsing I come across a link and click it, it just opens a blank page. At times I have to refresh the adress bar of the newly opened tab to get what I want and at other times it doesn't wrk at all.
This has affected my browsing much that I dont feel like using IE anymore but I do like IE.

Broadband connection ethernet - Yacom.I installed the Firefox on 30.9.2011 I installed the latest AVG 2012 on 10.10. 2011 I am not sure if it is because of or coincidently, but my internet browsing has been seriously affected. This has been happening for a few (? 3,4 )days, but has worsened since the installation of the new AVG.Where I would previously have put a subject into the browser, and the page appeared with a choice of links, a click on one of them would have immediately taken me to that link.Now, I have to wait for sometimes 25 to 30 seconds to get to the link and even not be allowed to go to the link - it won't open.I have deleted and re-installed my Firefox and my AVG, but this still happens.My security scans are done weekly with each programme but on different days - no two scans are done on the same day. At present, there is nothing untoward evident in my computer, an AVG scan was done last evening - 10.10.2011 only cookies were detected.

Aug 25, 2011Not too good on computers .When I open an external link such as Tech Guy my tool bar and favourites are above with the Tech Guy link which is open below. When I post my external links on a public thread and open up my own thread posted ,it shows the external link yet again below my toolbar and favourites I always understood when you open an external link it opens in its own page. I have windows 7 on my laptop and desk top and both are showing the toolbar and favourites above as stated with external links. They both share a the same Reuter. I dont usually have the desktop and laptop swithched on at the same time. When I open a favourite link on my toolbar, it does not open into a separate page and yet again the toolbar stays above and the favourite link is open below. Is this normal with windows 7 or how can I ammend to have a separate page with external links.

AV products are McAfee, Spyware Doctor, and MS Security Essentials.The problem is that, when I click on a link in Outlook, the link doesn't open the browser. There is no error message, just the scrolling color bar that is supposed to indicate something is happening.I've tried waiting several minutes to see if an error message would come up, but haven't seen one yet.
