In 7000 Windows an old Vista driver worked but I can't get media center to work with any of them in 7100. I've got the TV guide etc. all set up, it just can't find the tuner and I know this usually happens when a driver is wrong or absent.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy comp broke down recently & I decided to built a new one, probably not necessary but I will add the specs below: [code] I had an old ATI Graphic Card Radeon X1300/X1500 (busted now) series card installed in my old pc, which would allow me to plug my TV with DVI-I & I could use my 23" Monitor through VGA cable in extended monitor. (& screen not referring to Cloning)However the Intel 3000 Graphic Card I am using lags alot when I play HD movies, but more importantly it doesn't allow me to use my TV output as Theater Mode.Where you play movie or video on small screen window on your primary monitor while it plays full screen on secondary screen. in ATI Cards its called Theater Mode while in Nvidia its called "Video Mirroring".Problem is New ATI or Nvidia Cards don't come with these feature anymore, I have Redeon 6790 card available but it doesn't have Theater Mode feature available, I have done 3 days worth of research so Nvidia stop the Video Mirroring feature by GForce 76xx series & ATI sort of ended by 4xxx Redeon. (I Believe)I need help finding a fast enough card that still provides Theater Mode (in 64 xp OR win 7) it can't be too old cause I do alot of Photoshop + HD Movies.
I tried using softwares like Ultra-Mon, Fusion Display & Secondary Display Video Player etc tweaked all the settings with Video Overlay etc. concluded that Intel HD Graphics series is biggest pieces of dog poo cards ever built.So please advise me which card to get which is old but fast enough & have Theater Mode or Video Mirroring feature.. (price range isn't issue nor manufacturer) however I do need to work on 64 bit to get full speed of both my processor & ram.
I'm trying to get the animated boot screen to work on my home theatre PC, after scouring what feels like the whole of the internet, I can't find a solution to get it to work, and I'm stuck with the Vista scroll bar. I am using an Asus M4A785D-M Motherboard, however I have disabled the onboard graphics and am using an external card (Radeon 4350). This is plugged into my home theatre receiver which in turn is plugged in to my Sony LCD TV (1080p).
I have tried the following commands:
bcdedit /set {current} locale en-UK and bcdboot %WinDir% /l en-US
In the command prompt. I have also tried a repair installation over the original which has not worked. I've also fiddle with a number of different BIOS settings without any luck. The resolution on the screen seems to be downgraded when the animated boot screen appears (i.e. it was 720p and then goes down to 480p), which seems odd.

I've got the Asus Crossfire V Formula motherboard, FX 8150, GTX 570, 16 GB Kingston HyperX memory, and Corsair 80 GB SSD. When I first try to install Windows, im getting an error that says "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have the driver floppy disk, CD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." I have tried clearing the CMOS, checking the BIOS for AHCI configuration, and tried loading the latest ITE ATA driver on a disk to force it.

Originally XP it was upgraded to Windows 7 by the previous owner. Personally I would have been quite happy with XP. It seemed OK until I did something I did so often with my old PC. I tried to play a simple game of Microsoft Freecell. I got the message "Hardware Accelerator disabled or not supported by Video Card Driver". I opened the Device Manager to enable the Hardware Accelerator, to find that there was no driver installed. I contacted the Seller who said I might need a "much more powerful Graphics Card" to play games. Really? I had one of these PC's before and never had a problem playing Solitaire or Freecell. I wasn't going to play super-duper Space shoot-em-ups after all. How do I find out which Driver I need to download?

However, today the device has stopped working (Code 43) and it now states that it is using the older version of the driver.Can anyone tell me where I can find the new driver files on my laptop, so I can manually locate them? I have a small (80Gb) external drive, on to which I copied all my pictures and some other "My Documents" data from my old PC under Windows XP. When I plug this in to any USB port on the new machine, the power light comes on, but nothing else happens. If I click on COMPUTER, the drive does not show. However, another smaller drive (as well as my Kindle) are both recognised, whichever USB port I use.
If I go to Devices and Printers, the drive is listed as "Unspecified" and as "USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge". Windows Troubleshooter reports "Couldn't identify the problem" but also saying "This device is working properly".
I'm trying to play World of Warcraft on an old laptop I have. I've been told to update my video drivers but I've been searching for some hours but can't find them anywhere.The laptop is an IBM ThinkPad T42 running Windows 7 32bit. If any more information is needed, please reply to the thread and I'll answer asap.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently built a new computer and am trying to install Windows 7 on it (Professional 64-bit full version, acquired through MSDN-AA, burned on a DVD). The installation works for a few minutes but then it tells me that Windows can't find the driver for the DVD drive, an LG GH22NS50 DVD Writer, and prompts me to browse for it. The driver is supposed to be plug'n'play, so there's no CD and I can't find it online. I don't know how the installation has worked at all without the driver, but I seemingly can't get past this point without pointing Windows to a driver.

It comes with a cd on which there are drivers for win 2000/xp/vista 32/64bit. But no mention of Windows 7. I am trying to install Windows 7 x64 on this RAID but it doesn't see RAID. I've tried downloading the lates drivers from ST-Lab official site but with no success, Windows 7 just doesn't want to install them. Is there any solution u can advice?

The AMD site doesn't throw one up when I click on the HD 5450 download am at a loss as what to do!
