View 1 Replies View RelatedI am only getting " limited" access to the wireless network at my university, meaning no access! I had no wireless adapter issues 20 min earlier. The only thing I did install was driverupdate, cause I was getting the blue screen only when I was connected to the wireless network at school and the code that came up on the blue screen said something wrong with the driver.I have tried s restore to te previous day, that didn't work! I uninstalled DriverUpdate, still doesn't work. I've tried clearing dns cashe at cmd, that didn't work.

View 25 Replies View Related"Problem with the driver for Wireless Adapter".I have an HP-Pavilion 2009f with Windows 7 home premium 64-bit. All has been fine with my internet connection, except for a few drops here and there, but all in all it has been tolerable. When I went to bed last night it worked, when I woke up, it didn't. When I troubleshoot I get the message, "There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection Adapter", to which Windows cannot fix. I get this same error message, respectively, for both wired and wireless connections. After troubleshooting without success, I decided to try and do system update.I am only connected with "Limited Access".What's even weirder is when I open a cmd window and enter ipconfig /all.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs you can see today when I got on my laptop I wasn't able to connect to the Internet and after attempting to troubleshoot I got this error message along with one saying a network cable is not properly plugged in or is broken. We recently switched Internet service providers and the Internet has been running fine. The only proble I had was sometimes it would randomly drop in speed but I don't think that has anything to do with the issue. Last night it was working perfectly, but then it went slow so I unplugged our router and then disabled the wireless network then reeanbled it. Anyways I've been using this network for a few months now without issues but I think the issue lies within my computer. I checked for windows updates and installed them but no luck. Then I checked for driver updates for my adapters but they were up to date. I don't have any screenshots and I'm on a tablet. Also please use the simplest terms possible because while I have a basic understanding of these things, I'm no expert and I don't want to miss anything

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a confusing time trying to figure out why my internet went from 10+ Mbps down to <1 Mbps after simply downloading a wireless card driver. From the beginning: My wireless download speed was 10+Mbps, and I was using the Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-Card. This information is found in the Device Manager, under "Network".The driver for the card was 5.30.x.y (I can't remember the specific version number, but I do remember it was 5.30.something.something). Upon navigating to the Dell webpage, I wanted to see if there were any drivers for the same wireless card that were more updated, to perhaps increase performance.I navigated to the page for my computer (Dell Latitude D830), here. That page is for my model laptop. You'll notice that, in the drop down for "Operating System", there is no option to select Windows 7.Regardless, I navigated to the driver under "Network", the Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-Card, and downloaded it. It was version 5.60.188.1, from 11/9/2009. This is where my problem began. After installing the driver and rebooting, my internet speed instantly went to below 1 Mbps. I have no clue why installing a later wireless card driver would mess up my speed.
My only hypothesis is that the driver I downloaded is only compatible with Vista. Do I just re-download driver version 5.30.x.y or something to get it back? Why did it get so slow? How do I get my computer back to the download speed it was/should be?
I have a Dell N5110 with a failed hard drive. I bought a new hard drive, reinstalled Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I then downloaded all the drivers from dell. I followed the Dell recommended install order. After all the drivers are loaded, I go to Device manager and it says I am missing a network controller driver and I am unable to access wireless. I press function + F2 and I can turn on the wireless, but I am unable to add a wireless network. I have tried numerous network drivers from the dell site - doing a win reinstall before trying a different driver, but none are working. I have reformatted the machine again (for the 5th time) and I have no drivers currently installed. Where do I go from here?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have to know something about computers to do accounting (please don't hold that against me).A few weeks ago, I upgraded my system to Windows 7 - for many reasons. I have an inexpensive Argus Bean "Sprout" camera, and the small CD that came with it did not have drivers for Windows 7 (it was not out yet). What a nightmare!!! www.drivermanager.com would not even let me search after visting their sight and wanted $30 for something I do not need, what's worse is that it took over 8 hours to figure out why Norton Symantec PC thing kept uploading itself and turning itself on.Am I the only person hit by this?Is there any way to get the driver for Windows 7 for this cute, little camera I really love?
