View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently started playing Mass Effect 2 it was working fine for the first 30 mins. But when he wakes up and picks up his weapon the screen turns off and its becomes unresponsive and the speakers produce a high pitched sound and sometimes the GPU fan sound like it going at 100%. This also happens when I play GTA 4 and sometimes it happens when playing Skyrim.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had this issue for a while but only recently did I realise that it has resulted in a BSOD, before I when the display had gone I had just rebooted the machine. However after leaving it for a minute or two it BSOD'd and I finally got to see an error to start debugging this problem!
This error occurs seemingly randomly when I am playing games on my EyeFinity setup (Three Monitors), sometimes I can play a game solidly for 5 hours with no problem. or I can start a game and get this error almost instantly. This has lead me to believe that it isn't an issue with a specific game as it happens with pretty much all of them.
The BSOD is STOP 0x00000116 atikmpag.sys
Attached is the dump from SF_Diagnostic_Tool (What an awesome idea).

Random computer lockup to BSOD at random times while playing games in fullscreen mode. I've updated my video drivers with a full uninstall with driver sweeper but the crashes continue. I've also run a memory test and believe that my memory is fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy ATI HD3870 video card wont work...Upon downloading the windows 7 ATI CCC it informs me that there has been an error installing the driver...only for it to actually show up in the device manager as working, but then when I try to restart to set my MOBO to use it, I get a BSOD from atikmdag.sys
error code 0x00000116
my Realtek AC'97 on-board audio card was working until reboot just like in another thread on this forum. At this point, however, isn't even showing up on the unknown devices list, nor ANYWHERE else on the Device Manager...
Also there's an unrecognized and unsupported piece of hardware on my mobo (ACPIAWY0001.....WTF is this thing!?) I cant even begin to find drivers that might go to it for Win7x64
can anyone offer fixes for these problems? or should I just go back to vistax32? at least everything worked on there...
I've had these problems for a few months so I just started using our shared family computer, and recently I haven't been able to get access to it that often. Because I had so many problems with my computer, I tried clean installing it, which helped for around a month. Now it is back to BSODS. The error code I mainly get is the 0x00000A.
System Specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium x32 bit Build 7600
Processor:AMD Athlon(tm) II x4 635 Processor, 2.90 GHz
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5570
Memory: 2040MB RAM
Motherboard: M4A78LT-M LE
The OS came in-built with the computer, but since then I've re-installed it around 5 times.
my laptop recently started restarting with the BSOD. I was updating windows and clicked on install on a browser extension for a game bp4free when the first crash and BSOD occurred. I tried the repair but it didnt work. Tried re-installing to a restore point and even to factory state with no success. It tells me it my graphic card. I have ATI MOBILITY RADEON 5850. I cant log into windows unless i enable it. Ive also tried uninstalling/reinstalling drivers with no avail. Am i gonna have to buy another graphic card?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy computer has become awfully slow after playing Assassin's Creed 2, I was playing then my audio went fuzzy and the fps went down to like 2-3 fps. It has been slow ever since, all my graphics card options reset so I fixed them then tried a registry cleaner.. It worked to some extent but my games are still laggy. my hard drive is clean and I have 4gb of RAM plus an i5, my GPU is a Nvidia GT 540m.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt seems i have narrowed down my issue that I have been dealing with for it seems like months now. Well essentially my system will reboot anytime it sits for an extended period of time (about 15 to 20 Minutes). My computer will go into standby mode. I do have it set for my computer to never sleep but only my screens. I have followed the BSOD instructions and do and those to attach to this post. Here is the additional information regarding this problem... Is Windows 7 . . . - x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? - x64 - the original installed OS on the system? Yes - an OEM or full retail version?Full retail version - What is the age of system (hardware)? Eh, varies video cards about a year old, memory and hardrives are about the same length of time. Chip is fairly new within a few months. - What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) OS was freshly reinstalled on 11/17/2011. All drivers for all pieces of hardware in my machine have had the newest drivers updated, including my video cards. I have also done the BIOS update for both of my video cards available from Palit. Oddly enough i can play Starcraft II for hours and no issue with rebooting... only when it sits for an extended period of time as mentioned earlier.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on an HP desktop purchased in January 2010 from a retail store. The OS came pre-installed on the machine and I have never re-installed it.I had been getting a BSOD maybe once a month for about a year. Now I've been getting a BSOD maybe once a week. They occur at random times, so I can't point to one activity that is causing them.Blue Screen View says the most recent 0x00000116 error was caused by dxgkrnl.sys. I recently updated the driver for my ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series card. It seems like every time I've had a BSOD, it's had something to do with my graphics card, but I'm not tech savvy enough to be able figure out if that's the case.I should point out that I just updated DirectX 9.0 and ran the OCCT GPU stress test and got no errors. I also ran the Memtest86 overnight for seven passes and got no errors
View 3 Replies View RelatedA while ago I had some bluescreens with the error-code F4 which I could fix by updating the SSD firmware (from 1.3.0 to 1.3.3). But since then, I sometimes have a bluescreen with the errorcode 101. The bluescreens only appear while I'm playing Battlefield 3 or sometimes when I currently play nothing; in other situations my pc just freezes and I have to use the power button. With Google I found out, that this bluescreen is caused by an error with the processor, so I ran Prime95 and watched the temperatures with SpeedFan. The temperature of the second core was 98C so I started logging the temperature. After another bluescreen I looked in the logfile but the temperature was only around 40C. So it seems that nothing overheats (which is also proved by the fact that the bluescreens appears while nothing runs that stresses the hardware alot).

For about a month or so I've been getting various BSOD messages. I have ran "chkdsk" and it came back with everything being okay. I've ran "SFC SCANNOW" everything came back fine. I waned to run a few more tests (like the ones testing RAM, but with my computer not really turning on for that long now it seems like it might be too hard to do) From what I've noticed in the dump files I think "USBPORT.sys" and "usbohci.sys" are the main problems, but I could be wrong. I'm not really sure what to do now. It's got to the point where it takes a lot of attempts to just log into my computer and even then it doesn't stay on for long (no more than an hour now). I kind of gave up on everything and decided that installing debian as another OS is the next option. I reset my computer back to factory settings but no luck, I'm still getting the error! For the record I've had this computer for just over a year now, and everything seemed to be fine until recently and now it just seems to keep going downhill. I also can't give you the more recent dump files because my computer would end up BSODing half way though getting them all together, but I do have some recentish ones and it seems to be the same problems happening. However earlier today I got the 3B error which I haven't really got much before.
