BSOD When Installing Realtek High Definition Audio
Jun 12, 2012
The version that I trying to install is the latest(R.269/8 Jun), i just do the right thing, download the right version to the system(w7hp-x64), And all that i just got is a blue screen in the final of process, and a message of dumpping memory. I really dont know what is happening.
Starting about a month ago, after six to seven months of my laptop working fine, I've been getting video and audio stuttering whenever gaming or watching most HD videos and after messing around with my drivers I realized that whenever my Realtek HD Audio drivers are disabled my video runs flawlessly, but when enabled both video and audio stutter. I'm using a Sony VAIO laptop so I'm assuming that the sound card isn't easily replaceable. I've tried using the newest drivers straight from Realtek's website and also the outdated driver provided by Sony's website, both of which result in the same stuttering. Sony has also replaced the motherboard once and it did not resolve the issue.I'm currently running Windows 7 with 6gb of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 330M graphics card.
i read your message about uninstalling it by ticking the "permission" box, however, when i tick it and hit okay, i get a message that says that i can not access it. How can i get around it?
Previously I had Realtek HD Manager installed, but under the direction of another, I uninstalled it, as it wasn't detecting any devices plugged into it.I am still having the same problem, and when I attempt to install Realtek again, it comes with either: Or this, and it will repeatedly come up no matter how many times I allow it, until it eventually just closes itself. This is for any of the drivers available on the website, the first one being RC266 Vistax64, the second one being AC97.Previously, instead of "High Defintion Audio Device", it was shown "Realtek High Definition ect ect."It used to show "Digital Output" being the only one plugged in, and on the HD Audio Manager, nothing else was detected. I just got a new PC and I can't get the sound to work. My PC has the following specs:Microsoft Windows 7 (6.1) Enterprise Edition 64-bit Service Pack 1 (Build 7601)
DirectX Version 11.0 CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz Mainboard Model Z68A-G43 (G3) (MS-7750) (0x000004E0 - 0x8FF0BC90) BIOS vendor American Megatrends Inc. version V5.0 date 04/19/2012
My system is not muted I have tried to update the driver from both Realteks and MSIs web pages - no luck. I have tried to connect my headphones in both rear and front - no luck. When I play audio - I do see green bars in under the playback tab under sound devices. I do have the Realtek HD Audio Manager I have noticed that when I mark "Disable front panel jack detection" in the Realtek HD audio manager, the headphones appears to be connected in the playback tab, when I uncheck it, the headphones seems to be disconnected in the playback tab.
I think I need a manual for the Realteck High definitin audio. Thee are so many settings, I don't know what to do. I just bought Feder A111 2.1 multimedia speaker and it only works when I press headphone that doesn't sem right. Can I get a manual?

I'm having problems with my sound, I'm getting a very loud buzzing sound and nothing else. My computer is only a year old (self built) and I have never had this problem before, I got home from grocery shopping and it was buzzing.
What I did to try and fix it:
- thought headset was broken, used speakers, still buzzing
- used windows troubleshooting, said my port wasn't being detected, fiddled with it a bit and tried front ports. front ports causing buzzing as well
- checked for driver update, nothing
- uninstalled driver (buzzing stopped)
- re-installed driver and buzzing started again
So, i do think the problem is the driver, but i have no clue what to do about it.
I've upgraded from vista to 7 and I am getting no sound, I've searched, searched and tried alot of different things, I see alot of people on this forum with the same issues, but I've tried most of them. I've installed and unistalled all the different drivers from realtek, but no luck. I have realtek high definition sound but no hdmi output. In my device manager it says the sound driver is installed properly, but when I tried to test the sound it fails to test tone, I don't know if it has to deal with an audio codec. I have regular speaker that connect to a sound jack. At this point I am quite desperate. I've spent all night trying to figure this out.
The asus onboard Reatek audio does not work anymore and is faulty but keep on reinstalling itself with every next startup.I installed a new ST Lab M-350 sound card into the pci slot.[Driver=VIA VT1723] I would like to permanently uninstall or delete the realtek.
I have had to re-install my windows 7 home after it froze up on me several times. I then changed to windows 7 ultimate but still have the same problem minus the freezing. "NO AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE INSTALLED" I have done all that I can think of including re-installing drivers checking with tech reports from others and so on all I find is for vista or XP. In the device manager I have an exclamation point on "HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO CONTROLLER" and the red X on the speaker symbol in the system tray. I've tried everything I can find to no avail. Also my USB ports no longer work as well. My Toshiba is model L505D-LS5007
So i have tried to uninstall this damn High definition Audio device. I have 8 of them (because i have SLI i guess). So i have tried follow this guide for example: PROCEEDURE to PERMANENTLY DISABLE THE NVIDIA HD sound device(BLACK SCREEN & LOGIN FIX)
i cant use skype cause my contacts does not hear me.ive got high definition audio device, high definition audio device 2, line in and cd audio.i selected high definition audio device by default and its not working.i even tried the others to no avail.ive also deactivated bass booster and other audio improvements but still it does not work
I bought my mom a refurbished PC and no sound comes out of the speakers. I have made multiple attempts to update the sound driver with no luck. The salesperson over the phone told me I needed to download a new sound driver, but offered no help in identifying which one. I have filled out the system info specs and would appreciate the help in identifying which driver to download.
I have a PNY 570 gtx videocard hooked up with a HDMI to monitor. No matter if I connect it to a audio receiver or to the monitor I only get a maximum of 2 channels and Bit Depths 16-bit.Sample rates are only shown as 44.1kHz and 48.0kHz and the HDMI jack only shows L and R. It wont let me test a surround sound speaker system. The stats to this video cards sound will allow much higher samples and bits. All this information was gathered in the Windows 7 sound properties.I click on advanced in the sound properties and still cannot change to a higher quality that 48000 Hz.
Where can I find the newest ATI High Definition Audio Device Driver for Hp Probook8455b with Windows 7 x32bit? Also would that be the reason why I only have sound with headphones?

I have a (3 yr.) HP Pavilion dv8220ca Laptop. Looking for a driver that will be compatible with Windows 7. My friend bought the new OS for his exact same lappy (without too much concern about updating) and said that he cannot found a sound driver that will work. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 and have been looking for a driver to fix his issue, so I can fix mine.
I can't find the exact sound card, the normal driver set is a Conexant AC-Link Audio Driver. If anyone knows of a work around or a universal driver compatible with Windows 7 please let me know. So far I have tried the Conexant High Definition Audio 4.8.0.0 and I only received an ERROR.
When i try to run Insane 2 (in2ane) and Lord of the rings War in the north on my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 I hear no sound from the mentioned sound codec. If I try to run GTA 4 or any other game it works very fine.
