Acer Aspire 5920 Touchpad Drivers
I am about to install Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 5920 but don't know if the touchpad drivers will work on Windows 7. I know that the touchpad will work but worried about the scroll down/up feature of the touchpad. Which you can only make work with Acer software, but they don't support Windows 7 right now.

Touchpad For The Acer Aspire 3000
I have read through the forums on other Synaptic touchpad related issues and tried several of the items offered. So far neither the generic driver or the Acer specific driver as produced a good result. I still have no working touchpad. The software loads on boot and all appears normal till you attempt to move or scroll by touchpad. USB mouse still works fine and all other functions appear normal. I am open to any other suggestions.

Acer Aspire One (Netbook) Touchpad Compatibility
I was wondering if anyone is having issues with their touchpad, I am running Windows 7 on a netbook, specifically an Acer Aspire One A-150-1570 and acer has this program called Touchpad Synaptics, its normally used in Win XP, but using windows 7 compatibility option, you can use it in Win 7, it crashes when I try to scoll using the right part of the touchpad... if i don't have it installed I can't click or scroll using the touchpad.

Acer Aspire 6530 Synaptics Touchpad Driver
I have recently purchased an Acer Aspire 6530 laptop, which comes shipped with Windows Vista x86. I promptly made the restore DVDs, and installed Windows 7 x64, with no issues, except, one rather important one: the TouchPad driver does not work. When Windows first booted, the driver that comes with Windows worked fine. You did not get the scroll functionality from the side of the pad, which is meant to act like a scroll, but it recognized movement and the two click buttons. After getting on the Internet, Windows automatically went out and found the Synaptics TouchPad driver for me. Now, according to Device Manager, the driver will function after a restart. TouchPad works fine, go to restart, driver is applied, and.. nothing. The mouse will not move. Any USB mouse if plugged in works fine, but the click buttons and the movement on the pad do nothing. If you go into Device Manage and uninstall the device, the TouchPad works again! It seems whatever TouchPad drivers that are loaded with Windows 7 work like a charm, besides the built in scroll area, work wonderfully, but the driver that it automatically downloads/installs on boot does not after restarting and applying that driver, even though the device is fully functional according to Device Manager. Is there any way to FORCE the built in Windows 7 drivers, or a known fix to get the normal ones to work? Does this have to do with 64bit vs 32bit at all? Note: I have downloaded the driver from the Acer website for Vista and ran it in compatibility mode for Vista, with no change, so it is not just the one Win is automatically finding. Note2: I tried booting without any internet connection after disabling the driver, but Windows went ahead and installed the driver anyway. It was either still downloaded, or in fact comes with 7 and is not gotten through Windows Update, but is not installed initially? Plug and play is weird sometimes =/.

Acer Aspire 6920 - Many Drivers
I have an Acer Aspire 6920 with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and can not find the drivers (Even from Acer Website and Windows Update) For the following: -Sim Card Reader -Fingerprint Reader (and software) -Media Control (Seems to work, but the volume does not follow the pad properly) I have been on the Phone with Acer Support due to a battery problem (the battery is not charging) and they say it's due to Windows 7, as opposed to the battery being dead (I just received my laptop back from Acer repair due to the motherboard being dead, who knows how the handled the laptop, I obtainned it back with several deep dinks which where not there when it was shipped) so maybe I need the right driver for it to. Acer wants me to reinstall their Vista OEM - not going to happen.

Acer Netbook Touchpad Drivers
I put Win7 on my Netbok (Acer D150) and it runs extremely well, probably because of the extra 1GB of RAM that I put in it. It actually runs better than XP. My only gripe with having Win7 on it is that I cannot use the scroll feature on the touch pad. It's not really important but its nice to use when I am a touchpad fanatic.

ACER Aspire 5920G Laptop Drivers
Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but any pointers would be hugely appreciated! I'm running an ACER Aspire 5920G laptop, which comes with Vista 32-bit installed. I'd really like to give the Windows 7 RC candidate a try, but don't want to screw anything up! I'm going to add a new partition so I can dual-boot the existing OS with the new one, but my major concerns come from ensuring the hardware works acceptably. The graphics chipset in the 5920G is a Radeon 3470 HD Mobility, and I keep it up to date under Vista using the Mobility Modifier software. Will the same modified drivers work fine with Windows 7 RC? (I'm hoping that there might be someone on this board who's been in a similar position). Also (and this isn't quite on the topic of drivers), the laptop has 4gb of RAM installed - is it worth using a 64-bit version of Windows 7 RC, or does that complicate matters unnecessarily?

Acer Aspire 5720 Notebook Drivers
I have an Acer Aspire 5720. It is not listed on Acer's website as compatible with Win 7, however many other models with the same specs are. I have been able to find drivers for most of the hardware. The only ones I cannot locate are a Windows 7 x64 driver for both the Alps Touchpad and the Bison Crystal Eye webcam. I am an adventurous one, and have a solid backup, so I am going to try it anyway. I was just looking for any assistance in locating those two drivers.

Upgrade On Acer Aspire 5563
my brother has got an acer dvd installation upgrade because he bought an acer aspire 5563 or something after july 26th.. so he got a free upgrade to windowss 7 and hes installing it on his comouter as im speaking. i have a dell dimension e521- i know that i can use the DVD again- but my question is- will the Acer DVD work on my computer? i have used 7loader by hazar and orbit32 to only change my oem logo on my system so its acer, and the name of the oem is now acer- but will the actually DVD detect that its a dell and would not allow me to install, or let me install and when i enter my users desktop for the first time it will not let me do things because it is a dell- making my computer be unaccessible and all my work and coursework i can not be accessed- so will the acer dvd work?- meaning that i can continue my work on the best OS ever, and the whole operation will work fine, valid, and smooth without any problems?

All drivers and bios of my laptop is up-to-date but I have a problem with win7: when I hibernate or sleep my laptop and then resume it and then I try to restart the laptop,win7 turn my laptop off and then turn it on but the Bios does not load hardware and the display does not show anything (does not show Acer Bios Logo) and laptop does not boot OS. After 3 second my laptop restart again and in this time bios loads hardware(show Acer Bios Logo) and boot the OS. this problem occurs only when I sleep or hibernate my laptop and resume it from hibernate or sleep and then restart it. If I turn on my laptop and do not hibernate or sleep it, it will restart correctly and without any problem. in win XP I did not have such this problem. what can I do for solving this problem?

Upgrade On Acer Aspire 5920G
i just upgraded and have a few issues. altogether windows 7 is fine but in devices and printers ive got CRD-PC with an exclamation Mark under devices and A310 under unspecified. i have installed all the drivers from the acer website. then i also have some usage related issue, i know probably the wrong forum but i dont know where to put them plus dont wanna make a 2nd thread. whenever i restart, i have to reselect VLC as default program to open avi's, it defaults to winamp. happens with all media files, but strangely not with nfo's (havnt tried any other files yet that i set to non default manually). also, my toolbars disappear after evry restart. which is annoying cause i always move it so i have an XP style quickstart panel. my system: acer aspire 5920G T7700 (2.4ghz 2mb L2 Cache 800Mhz FSB) 2GB DDR2 Ram Geforce 8600M GT WIndows 7 ultimate x64

Upgrade On Acer Aspire 7535g
This is my noob experience of the £699 4 months ago 17.3" multi spec't acer aspire model 7535g ATI mobilty 4570 radeon twin graphcs job £12.78 buys two discs to get me from vista 32 home premium to windows 7 home premium 32bit 1 upgrade disc and 1 windows 7 media disc I decide to go with a clean install so i changed boot sequence in bios to cd first, then booted from the windows 7 media disc. option 2 custom install i managed to delete partitions which made my restore discs effectivley scrap. realizing there was no way back, i had to instal windows 7 all went silky smooth untill the device radeon 4000 series had code 10 cannot start i let windows 7 update this device - rebooted...the screen never came back...the machine was ON,signal up and everything but no raster, just a mouse curser. hmm... rebooted in safe mode, rolled back driver....screen ok but still the graphics 4570 is code 10 and cannot start. so i inserted the acer upgrade dvd and ran all EXCEPT the amd puma driver rebooted all ok then i ran the puma driver, rebooted and the screen never came on...backlighting but no picture. Holding down the power button i just turned it off, rebooted, pressed f7 or 8 whatever key for safe mode and chose ENABLE LOW-RESOLUTION VIDEO (640x480) enter... starting windows...4/3 aspect right click - screen resolution change to 1600 x 900 (recommended) no more errors

Install On Acer Aspire 6935G
I have done 3 clean installations with Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade on my Acer Aspire 6935G laptop replacing Windows Vista Home Premium OS successfully but the only problem I am having is that once I have successfully done the clean Windows 7 installation and looked in All Programmes from the Stat Menu I found that Microsoft Works has gone isn’t this supposed to be one of the default programmes for Windows Operating Systems? All of the Acer applications and drivers are on the Acer Upgrade DVD and found some missing preinstalled applications and drivers in the C: Drive folder and saved the folder onto my flash drive but none of them have Microsoft Works on?! Is this because I did the clean install on the same Drive that all of the preinstalled applications and drivers are on which includes Microsoft Works and the previous version of the Windows Vista Home Premium OS? If yes would it be possible for me to replace Windows Vista Home Premium OS by installing Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade onto my D: Drive instead so that I would still have Microsoft Works preinstalled on my computer without having to do the dreaded upgrade installation instead? If no would it be possible to transfer Microsoft Works software from windows.old folder to a windows 7 folder? So that I could use Microsoft Works again.

Acer Aspire 5500Z Issue
I actually have an old laptop, which is an Acer Aspire 5500Z, my Dad gave it to me, from Kuwait. The specs, well it has the Intel 915 graphics adapter. 64mb memory, but I was able to make it 192mb, just by adjusting the BIOS settings. It uses a Pentium 4 processor, Centrino, I guess. 1.40GHz+. Now, I'm not able to use the Aero Interface of Windows 7. It says that the graphics adapter is compatible, however, it doesn't have the WDDM drivers. Since I have a laptop, is it possible to upgrade the video adapter? By the way, I have 1.50GB of RAM, Windows 7 is blazing fast, but boring. No cool effects. So, what to do?
