i have 7 pro installed on my old rig, Intel pen 4 on a ASUS p5gd1-vm motherboard. everything is working fine. i want to upgrade my processor to the i5, and so i need a new motherboard. was looking at the Intel DP55WG, but the product guide says it only supports home and ultimate
How can i get my ASUS motherboard drivers if there only appears to be for VISTA 64 bit and not for WINDOWS 7 64 bit ? im new in windows 7 and especially with the 64bit version of windows
where I can get a driver for the audio on my old Asus P5L-MX Motherboard.I have a paid-for Driver Boost app that had updated all the drivers since I installed Windows 7 but even that can't find one for the Soundmax.Went to both the Asus and Soundmax sites but for the love of me can't find one.Ran the Windows Compatability Wizard that said the audio drivers would be fine when I upgraded from Vista to Seven!
so i will be doing a fresh install in a week so i wanted to make sure i have all the proper drivers. I went ahead and went to each manufacturers website to get the latest ones instead of dl them from asus since they r outdated.so just making sure am i good to go? these should be the latest for my mobo(asus mobo website- ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download M4A87TD EVO)Lan- Realtek[CODE]
I have a Asus M3A78-T motherboard with a raid 0 array with dual boot. I'm trying to install windows 7 on the second partition but when I try installing the os it says I'm missing drivers. I would think that windows 7 has the required raid drivers needed but I have no idea what is wrong. Any thoughts?
Please, I recently discarded my CPU fan (an Intel E18764) in favour of an Akasa one. My new fan seems to suck air in through the side panel, whereas I am sure the old one used to blow it out. I have an Antec Minuet low profile case.
I've recently installed Windows 7 (RC). I need the Motherboard Drivers. I have "Asus P5PE-VM Series" Motherboard. Intel 865G Chipset. Basically need Drivers for Display and Audio. I'm ready to buy a Graphics Card but my Motherboard doesn't have PCI Express Slot. I have a 22" ViewSonic Monitor, 3GHz CPU with 1GB DDR RAM. Kindly help me to have best experience with Windows 7 on the above mentioned hardware.
OK, so I just built a new PC with an ASUS M3N78 PRO motherboard. I installed Windows 7 and almost everything works except for the sound. I have Logitech X-540 Surround Sound speakers hooked up and I installed a RealTec audio driver for Vista x64, which did nothing. Any ideas about how to get this working?
I just installed Windows 7 64-bit onto my gaming computer, as seen in my system specs. My main concern is, I have an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard, and I don't know if Windows updated the drivers for the chipset or the onboard audio.
I tried to download the chipset and audio drivers from Asus, using Vista 64-bit, but they would not install normally... When I tried to use the Asus Install, it would say I am not using the correct operating system. So, I went straight to the setup.exe file, and it "installed" the stuff, but nothing like how I have seen on either Vista or XP. I doubt the "install" did anything.
So what can I do? I'm thinking my chipset is what is causing my loss in FPS for my games... BTW, I am using build 7229.
I've been on to Asus tech support regarding Win 7 drivers for my motherboard (P5N32-Sli Premium) and here is the response:
We will release most drivers for Windows 7 to cover most motherboards after Win 7 is formal released. But I could not guarantee 100% that there will be some drivers for the motherboard aiming at Windows7 at present.

Just thought folks should know. As to what "most motherboards" means, well I guess we'll have to wait until some time after the release, but I probably wouldn't hold my breath that it'll be this side of Christmas...but then again I could be wrong .
i've recently decide to update all of my PC components , and stuck on motherboard bios. i've red the manuals , and it says to download "asus update utility" on their site , but when im choosing "windows 7 64" and downloading the utility it says that i should download 64 bit application . so is there any other way to update my bios ? or..
I have just built a new system consistsing of the following:
Asus M5A78L/USB3 AMD Socket AM3 Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333MHz i5 Memory Kit Non-ECC CL9 AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 6MB Cache Western Digital WD20EARS 2TB Hard Drive SATAII 64MB Cache - OEM Caviar Green Powercool 550W 80plus Certified Efficienty PSU - 1x PCI-E 4x SATA Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2 Socket 775, 1156, 1155, 1366, AM2, AM3 Heatpipe CPU Cooler Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit SP1
The initial build of the system went as planned until I activated the CPU overclocker on the ASUS motherboard. When this is on the system seems to boot ok and starts to load windows but then hangs and all I get is a blank black screen.I have had to reboot and reset the motherboard to the default values to get it to work ok.
i have installed windows 7 on my system bt my sound drivers and usb ports are not working ..i everytime it z asking me to install correct drivers i have installed many times but it is never installed correctly.
I turned usb legacy off accidentally off in my bios while trying to reboot my pc because it was stuck on the expanding windows part while installing windows 7. Now when I turn on my pc its on the screen that says press ctrl alt delete to restart and I can't even use my keyboard or mouse. So I try to turn usb legacy back on but I can't even get on the bios by pressing f2. What can I do?
