Windows Mail On Will Recieve But Not Send Emails

I have 2 seperate email accounts both on windows mail - for some reason I cant send mail - I've checked all the details from my service provider and can see no reason for it not to be working. The error message I get is this
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

I regulary check my emails and today when i clicked 'send and recieve' it came up with this error message

This is the message I get when I try and send email: "The message could not be sent An error has occured" "Get help from communities". So it has no true error message..When I try to receive email I get a failure and this message:An unknown error has occurred. I decided to try and set up Windows Mail on my laptop for my "ntlworld" (which is my ISP although it is now Virgin Media) email accounts; which seemed to have worked as it received all my emails. Although I have discovered when I have tried to send an email it wont, generating this error:

One thing I would say is I am acctually away from home at the moment, so I am using internet in another house which is provided by a different ISP - could this be the problem as I have used Outlook Express on my PC at home for these same accounts and have had no problems.

Everytime I see a link to send someone an email, it wants me to open a windows mail account. So I did, and now all of my yahoo mail is going into windows mail. I just want to be able to send mail, with out having to copy and paste the link/email then go over to yahoo and compose.Now all my yahoo mail is gone from yahoo and its in windows mail!

if i am at home on the wireless network emails are ok but when i use "o2" or "3" mobile broardband i can't send an email, reception is fine. i get the following error messages:

First of all my email settings for all three email alias's were checked by a verizon tech where they had control of my computer. I have NOT chnged anything except the port that went out in an email from verizon. I get this issue ALL THE TIME and I am tired of not being able to recieve mail or send it. This is the message I have right now when I hit send/recieve:

I have moved to malta from scotland. Since moving I am unable to send emails with windows mail. I can receive ok. I use lineone.net to receive. I think the problem may lie in changimg my internet provider which is Melita. so should my incoming read lineone and the outgoing be the melita network which I think is onvol. My computer skills are basic so easy answers please. I have to use tiscali all the time but it takes longer to read my mail because of all the adverst etc downloaded along with the mail. Windows is obviously quicker if only I could send them.

It started doing this right after downloading an upgrade of AVG antivirus and it said I needed to download an upgrade of windos, so I downloaded both upgrades and can't send or recieve e-mail since.

Have my own domain and can't send emails to my 2nd user account or to myself using Windows Mail. Added my domain to the safe senders list but it still just black-holes. No errors ion the log, nothing indicating there is a problem. If I use another client the mail goes thru just fine.
