"mp3 Could Not Be Imported. Class Not Registered."
Mar 23, 2008
I just tried importing an mp3 and I'm receiving the message: "mp3 could not be imported. Class not registered." I don't know what this means. It's not a protected file. This isn't the first movie I've made, but this is the first time I've had a problem importing the music.

I have OE 5 Sent Items.dbx and Folders.dbx (from my old ME laptop) with my Windows Mail directory files on my new Vista laptop, but Sent Items won't open. When I click on it, my new WM Inbox opens instead. My old Sent Itemsfile retained its 221mb size in the move. When I open the WM program and see my Inbox, the old Sent Items aren't showing as folders on the left side. But if I search in the directory path: C driveusersmy nameApplication DateLocalMicrosoftwindows maillocal folderssent items -- it is there full size.
I have placed it there by itself, then dragged and dropped into the other sent
items folder with folder.dbx -- either way, the 221mb of sent items do not
appear.

I know that you cannot select images to be imported in the Windows Photo Gallery because it is supposed to detect the recently imported photos and not import photos that have already been imported. However, my recently imported folder is always empty and when I import photos, it imports all of them. I, therefore, end up with duplicate copies. How can I make it save in the recently imported folders so I don't end up with these duplicates?

I have a Creative Zen Micro Mp3 player. It always worked fine with my old Laptop (windows XP) and it originally worked with this laptop (windows Vista). Then after my computer crash and I had to restore everything, it stopped syncing right with the computer. Every time I plug the USB cable in, it says the device is not connected. Now, another problem is that I have to update the firmware on my Mp3 player in order for it to work (So I can also put more music onto it). But in order to do that, I need it to connect.and before I forget: Yes, I tried changing USB cords and different USB ports.

I was using Outlook (not Outlook Express) running under Windows XP on my old computer. I carefully backed up all my folders in which I keep my e-mail messages. I want to import the folders into Windows Mail running under Windows Vista on my new computer. When I try, the menu invites me to select the format I want to import e-mail from and I select Microsoft Outlook. I then get an error message saying "Messages cannot be imported from the MAPI client". Of course , this means nothing to me. Can anyone help ? Does it mean that I must go out and buy a new version of Outlook ?

I'm Khairil Anuar from ITServices Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, one of the participant of Heroes Launch 2008 in Kuala Lumpur. I have some questions that need clarification regarding the Windows Vista Ultimate DVD.
1. I had received the DVD, registered and received the product key.
2. I had chosen "5000 or more" machines for the DVD when first registered.
3. I had no problem installing WVU on the first 2 machines. However, on the 3rd and 4th machines, I received an error message when trying to activate WVU. I was informed that the product key has already been used by other machines and I was asked to buy another product key?

When I click "File - Import - Messages - Microsoft Outlook" I get the following error message: "Messages can not be imported from the MAPI client". I would also like to import my contacts.pst but am not sure what format to use. My old hard drive died. Outlook.pst; Contacts.pst; and Archive2008.pst were recovered and put on a CD. I transferred Outlook.pst and Contacts.pst to my new Vista C: drive.
I could not transfer Archive2008. It said "Can not read from source file or disk", then it goes away. I guess the earlier archives couldn't be retrieved. I am getting very frustrated. MS says to contact the computer mfg, ACER says it can't help me, call MS. MS will charge me for help. I just bought this stupid computer with Vista and nobody will help me after they have their money.
